“Great spot to hang with family and friends. Food is seasonal and very good. Their cider is great but they also have beer and cocktails. They have toys for kiddos upstairs, a pool table, shuffle board, and foosball...and a great area outside if the weather is nice.”

“Just came in for a drink but a regular convinced me to get dinner. Had a transcendent experience eating the lamb cavatelli. One of those meals that makes you slow down and remember you're ALIVE! What a delight. Then I had plum cardamom pie with ice cream! Like so perfect. Great vibes, the sun was shining, Garth was playing great music. Really happy I stopped by, needed that! “Had the great fortune of trying this Hazy IPA before meeting the owner Kelsey Grammer and watching him pull beer for a few hours. This beer is outstanding! it doesn't have that hoppy bite and has a refreshing citrus finish. Put simply? it's delicious. Looking forward to more amazing beers coming!!”

“Had the loveliest weekend stay at Bovina. We snagged a weekend reservation to stay in their newly renovated loft in July 2026. We were a little nervous about the fact that there’s no AC in any of the rooms, but we were lucked out that it was a really pleasant weekend, and the mountain air really did feel crisper than the city. The loft is above their fermentory, which we didn’t see any photos of online but were pleasantly surprised with how spacious, clean, and quaint it was. The only thing I would have wanted was a mirror in the bedroom - I had to use a compact mirror all weekend. I guess it was sort of rustic, but we did have some plans that I wanted to dress up and get ready for. The grounds felt like they were out of a fairytale. My fiance and I loved walking around and visiting the sheep, chickens, donkeys, and vegetable gardens. In terms of food, we booked Saturday dinner and had breakfast both days. The long table in the summer evening was the perfect setting and we had a nice time chatting with some of the other weekend guests. We had a terrine, cherry salad, rabbit pot pie, and a blueberry cobbler- it was a lovely, fresh home cooked meal. I was really blown away by the sourdough pancakes and the fresh yogurt bowl at breakfast. We were only planning to sit for breakfast one day, but it was so good we had to go back for more. The owners are also great- genuine, kind, and no fuss type people. We left feeling like we had experienced something really special, and we will definitely be back again in the future.”

The Pappardelle with beef ragu was phenomenal and there pizza was so delicious. Dessert we shared the Italian cheesecake also delicious. You can tell they put alot of love in there food. Highly recommend. Service was outstanding friendly,knowledgeable and prompt.. Definately will be back again and again.”

“Have had pizza here many times and was always more than happy. While there recently I saw a young lady who had ordered one of their subs and thought that I would try one. Ordered their Italian sub and told them to just make their standard sub thinking I would try it their way and maybe I would adjust the ingredients in future orders. The sub was one of the best ever. Will be having more in the future. No adjustments needed! Thanks for what you do!”

“Food was prepared OK, it's a subway not a lot can go wrong. But service was REALLY slow. A manager should manage, not sweep floors while food is being prepared (slowly). It took 25 minutes to get a single sandwich made from the time we stood in line till I paid. There were 2 people in front of us. As a former Subway "Sandwich Artist" I know that if it takes longer than 5 minutes to make a sub... You are doing it wrong. And that was by myself in a shop, not with two in the assembly line.
Maybe it was a bad day, but it is what it is and that's what I can say.”

Once again food is carefully prepared and delicious.
We were so happy to find out that Amy and Chen are back as owners and experienced chefs. We so very missed this simple no frills family run establishment. Though we tried the food a few times after they left and the new owners took over, it unfortunately was very disappointing. Seemed like a very important part of Margaretville was gone. Then Amy and Chen came back along with family helpers and kitchen staff.
We had an incredible lunch today. Fresh and prepared exactly as requested. Portions are plentiful, prices extremely fair and most reasonable. Once again everyone there is smiling and greeting customers so warmly. It is truly their labor of love for Margaretville to enjoy!
