“Good lunch selections just that their miso soup is so salty. Otherwise everything else is very good. I had salmon teriyaki with California rolls. It came with side salad , miso soup and steamed veggies. Salmon size serving is big for lunch . Very happy with the order. Cheap for $14.“

“I’ve dined here a few times… the vibe is pretty awesome, laid back and welcoming. The family owned restaurant offers a great selection from Chef Adrian’s awesome vision of French and south East Asian cuisine ! Pretty cool combo. When you arrive you’re greeted and seated. I recommend reservations as it can fill up quickly. On our first trip there we tried the lobster shooters which are a must try. Basically you get a piece of lobster in a shot glass with a coconut curry concoction.. take the shot and boom 🤯 what a creative amazing app! We also had the salt and pepper cod over garlicky fried rice and their shaken beef dish! Both dishes were prepared with one thought in mind! perfection. They have a pretty neat dessert collection that you won’t find on most menus, you can say it’s unique to this restaurant. The coco panna cotta, key lime pie, passion fruit pavlova and my absolute favorite the coconut tapioca pudding! All prepared in house. Other must try’s are the Rockstar shrimp which is fried popcorn shrimp, iceberg lettuce, sweet chili sauce, lime. Both shrimp and veggie pan fried dumplings, the rooster wings and the late great lemongrass mussels. My hands down favorite dish had to the steak frittes which comes szechuan maitre'd butter, french fries, spicy mayo! Honorable mention on their lunch menu for me is the Bahn Mi sandwich My wife loves the Vietnamese crepe - This is a must try if offered, this was made famous and can be seen featured in one of the episodes of Beat Bobby Flay! Where the chef took down the world renown celebrity chef to beat Bobby Flay! In short a great spot to have a nice date, or even celebrate a birthday! And on nice days you can sit outside in their outdoor patio area.“

“Two people in our party, Friday evening, no reservation, but we were seated promptly, choosing to sit at the bar. The service and the food was very good. We commented to the owner/manager about one dish we didn't love, a jalapeno yellowtail ponzu (sauce was over powering) and we were given six sashimi slices of yellowtail on the house to assure our satisfaction. A nice gesture that was not expected or necessary but shows the attention to customer service. Lots of choices for cold sake, fresh fish, great customer service. A win!“

“I would have gave them 5 stars but I originally wanted the bento box and was told that it was only a lunch special from Mon-Sat which was not stated on the menu. Instead, she recommended a dinner special with the same items for an additional $10. Other than that, the food was amazing 10/10 and so was the service and atmosphere. The waitress was very sweet and attentive. Definitely recommend and will be going back. 👍🏼“

“Love at first taste ,i love there noodles,you could actually taste the difference ,it’s fresh ,food is not salty ,no artificial flavor,balance taste Environment is clean ,employees are friendly,they serve fast ,very nice. “Since Steam changed owners, it feels like a completely new restaurant—and the food is absolutely delicious! It’s unfortunate that reviews from the previous ownership are still weighing down their rating, because the new menu, staff, and food are all fantastic.
The tofu lettuce cups, Szechuan dumplings, scallion pancakes, and bamboo-fired fish are absolute must-tries. And definitely ask for extra dumpling sauce—it’s amazing for dipping the fish!
If you love Chinese food, I highly recommend giving Steam a try. Don’t let the older reviews deter you—the new Steam is fantastic!“

“One of the only places around that is Asian food with a nice atmosphere. The dumplings were especially delicious, and the salad and miso soup were especially good. Then the bento box is always fun. The only negative was that the teriyaki chicken could have a little more char on it.“

“Such an amazing place for hibachi! Our chef and waitress were very accommodating with my special requests, making the entire dining experience enjoyable from start to finish. Hibachi dinner also came with clear soup and their Ginger salad was delicious,must try!

“I generally like the food here, I have tried their general tso's chicken, pad thai, scallion pancakes, pork fried dumplings and various sushi dishes which were all quite good. Not a top restaurant but definitely a decent pick and not insanely expensive considering the area it is in. There usually arent that many people eating there if you like a relatively quiet dining experience but I also rated it a 3 for atmosphere as it isn't very lively. Good service, 4 stars for me overall.“

“Haikou is a great place! I got the crispy white meat sesame chicken with brown rice and it was very solid and came out nice and fresh. Next time I’ll try General Tso’s because everything looked good. Haikou definitely has my stamp of approval! I approve and recommend for sure.“
