“Love this place so much. We have gone here and ordered here from when I was a baby. They have DECADES of great service right here in Arverne. They have seen us grow up, get married, have children, go off to college, come back etc. and we have seen their children grow up, go off to school and come back as well. They are kind and consistent. Some times we do take out, sometimes delivery, but we always tip. The very best Chinese food.“

“I recently visited this establishment for takeout. The kind lady assisted me in selecting which dumplings to order. The staff members were all very pleasant. While I was waiting for my order to be prepared, I was offered some complimentary snacks, which were quite delicious. There was a minor issue with their steamer, which caused a slight delay in my order. The lady apologized and offered me additional snacks to sample. After a few extra minutes, my order was completed, and I brought the food home. The meal was a great success, and my family thoroughly enjoyed every dumpling I had ordered. I certainly plan on returning in the future.“

“We were looking for authentic, delicious, and fairly priced platters for our Chinese New Year celebration and found A-Pou. A-Pou not only helped us put together the menu, but she included extra special goodies like sesame balls / egg rolls / fortune cookies. Even though Sunday was her day off, she still prepared and delivered the platters to our apartment which was so appreciated. All of our guests RAVED about the food (especially the potstickers, basil chicken, and lo mein).

A-Pou was also amazing to work with from beginning to end - she’s just the sweetest lady. Highly encourage paying her restaurant a visit and calling her if you have catering needs!“

“The food is here is by far one of the more reliable places to get Asian Cuisine. The food is not overly fried or heavily seasoned. We come here occasionally after the dog park visit, and we have yet to be disappointed. The wonton soup is a must have, better than anywhere else I have tried. The prices are also very good. Normally I have something criticizing to say but I genuinely appreciate this place for a cheat night. You won’t feel guilty with the fun of take out. The place is small and there isn’t anywhere to eat if you wanted. The customer service is good, however you will need to wait in your car because there isn’t much room to wait inside and no where to sit. Give it a try. Photo is my wife pounding down one of their egg rolls because she can’t wait till we get home (Not oily at all). As healthy as Chinese food can probably get in NYC.“

“I used to live in Brooklyn, and after moving to Queens, I finally found the best Chinese takeout! The flavor is consistent, and the portions are very generous. My brother and I always must-order the chicken wings, boneless ribs, and General Tso's chicken! God Bless !“

“This place is beyond exceptional. The food is always fresh. The service is impeccable. The young lady is friendly and always on point with everything. Eat here at least 2 to 3 times a week, and it always hits the spot. Either for lunch or dinner you can't go wrong here. I've tried a variety of the menu items and they are all made so well and for a great reasonable price.“

“Bit of a hole in the wall place off the beaten path. Very friendly workers here but there is no service per se. You order off a touch screen and food is brought to you. This includes water and drinks.

The food is simple and good. We've gone twice and the first time was better with the soup lacking a bit of flavor last time we went.

It's simple and clean food prepared well but honestly I don't think this is a top 100 NYC restaurant despite the reviews. (Also bathrooms are clean and nice which is a plus)

“Tried a new halal Chinese spot in Valley Stream and it did not disappoint! The chicken wings were crispy and packed with flavor, the lo mein and fried rice were so fresh and satisfying, and the chicken eggrolls were perfectly crunchy. The beef broccoli in garlic sauce was definitely a standout — super tender and full of bold taste. They also have bubble tea, which was just okay, but the food made up for it. Such a cute little place and a great option for halal Chinese in Valley Stream!“

Beef salad was super refreshing. Medium big plate chicken was humongous - super flavorful chicken and the meat was very tender. Potatoes soaked up a bunch of flavor. Qorima lagman was my favorite - perfect noodz texture, stir fried(?) well, and excellent taste. Got a samsa to go which was also tasty and came with nice side sauces. Nawat tea was also nice - refilling the tea is free since you’re given the leaves to steep. Btw staff is also super friendly. All in all loved it and will come back!“

“Annie’s kitchen is in all likely hood one of the finest eateries in the tristate, in fact I would dare to say the entire western hemisphere. “We had an amazing experience at The Monkey King! We came with a group of friends and everything was excellent from start to finish. The food was delicious and full of flavor, the service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming, perfect for a group night out.

“Located inside Kings Plaza on the second floor, this is a good spot for some relatively inexpensive and okay chinese food/takeout. They have a self-service buffet in a overload-your-plate-one-time style. We ordered the kungpao chicken with rice, and stir fried noodles with a can of coke to share. They did not have diet coke, only regular. Portions were big for our appetites, we ended up bringing ⅔rds of the noodles back home with us.“

“Hi! So I'll be honest, I had just moved to New York and the first place we went to did us so dirty. So when I saw East Garden I was very hesitant on going in but eventually decided to take a chance at fate, little did I know how much their General Tao's chicken with shrimp lo mein would change my life for the better.See I can't handle too-too much spice, so I was reluctant to get it but the aroma brought back memories of my grandparents eating the General Tao's chicken from back home and got it anyway.Once I saw it, I noticed it had just the right amount of sticky sauce, it was churchy but soft too (Which I loved) and from the moment I tasted it, I was immediately reminded of the times I had with my grandparents. Since I recently lost my grandmother, this moment made me burst into tears (Happy ones of course) when I had gotten home. It wasn't too spicy and had a tint of sweetness, an paired with the Shrimp Lo Mein turned out to be the right choice, The dish was very very Delicious. I do recommend this fine restaurant with all my heart, I hope you visit and enjoy these wonderful dishes.“

“I love the Beef Chow Fun , they put a good amount of beef not like others , but I decided to buy chicken wings and fried rice . The wings were well done just like I like it . But the rice was too undercook . it was hard to eat . I ate the wings and had to throw away the rice . but it had a good flavor , just wish the rice was cooked .“

“I ordered through DoorDash. Quart of sweet n sour chicken. Fried dumpling App. First the chicken was crunchy and not overly breaded. The batter did NOT taste greasy. Their was so much that they couldn't close the bucket! OUTSTANDING!The sauce was very tasty. The only thing missing was the cherry and pineapple chunk.The fried dumpling were delicious. The mystery meat inside was not off putting in anyway. The dipping sauce was not just a container of soy sauce but actual sauce with real ginger and other spices! And I got two! “My 89 year old mother absolutely loves the chicken noodle soup. She enjoys a mug full everyday and is never tired of it. I ask for a low sodium version and they make it happen. “WARNING: They have recently stopped including complimentary white rice with any order. Prices are already insane. Yes, even that $80 hot pot does not include complimentary white rice.
This use to be my go to because their food was GOOD. After last night , my boyfriend and I got mild food poisoning, the kung pao chicken was a fishy brown sauce with no sweet or tangy ( maybe there was just a mistake in the order) and with a $55 order no white rice side, at some point the prices just do not justify the food anymore and this is where I’ve reached my thresh hold. I’m nit sure if the restaurant changed hands or the chef is different. Perhaps I’ll come back another time in the future but I’ll take a break for now.“

My main Chinese take out order is always General Tso tofu and most of the other places in Bed Stuy/Bushwick tend to serve bean curd style tofu, which is okay, but nowhere near as delicious as the texture they served me.

My first time visiting, the place was crowded. There was a line. I ordered rice roll with egg. They are somewhat chewy. Better than other street vendors, can't compare to with dim sum restaurant.
Small size of soy milk was good. Not too sweet. Tofu ho is not too sweet.
Overall the flavor is on the blended size but the food itself is good.“
