Broadway Taqueria Reviews
Great spot for authentic tacos and other Mexican foods. Backyard space is a bonus! Small tables outside - better for 2 ppl at those small round tables but it’s my new go to spot in my local Astoria neighborhood after Chela y Garnacha closed.
They don’t sell beer or wine but you can bring your own. Deli right on corner.

Broadway Taqueria is a great spot for authentic tacos and other Mexican foods in the local Astoria neighborhood. The place is small and clean, with painted tiles, and has a nice backyard seating area at the back. Small tables outside are better for 2 ppl. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the owners are super friendly—it seems like a family owned restaurant. They don’t sell beer or wine but you can bring your own, and there is a deli right on the corner.
The menu includes steak, lengua, Al pastor (seasoned pork & pineapple), Cecina (salted beef), and Cochinita Pibil, along with a variety of tacos, quesadillas, and empanadas to get you started. The tacos came in very fresh blue corn shells and were generously filled, with pretty presentation. The meats were hearty but sliced thin with a little flaptop char and excellent flavors. The Al Pastor was excellent, with flavorful seasoning on the pork, cooked very well with a little char and bits of softened pineapple throughout the taco. The quarter chicken was juicy and seasoned, and there is a great quarter or half chicken special which includes grilled chicken, tortillas, and toppings; the half chicken special is enough for two meals or more. Portion sizes are just perfect—enough to satisfy you without getting too full. The food is really good, really fresh, and prepared to order. Service has been some of the best, and each experience has been great, whether take out or eating at the restaurant.
