“First time visit to La Perla in Averill Park, NY Thursday 8/17/23 6:30pm reservation. We came because of the music by The Next Chapter, Alan Saunders & Mike Derrico formerly of the Good for the Soul band that played at our wedding in 2006. They were set up in an nice courtyard at the rear of the restaurant, but an hour later had to move inside due to the rain. Very prompt service by the staff. We ordered drinks and looked over the menu. We settled on two appetizers: eggplant rollatini ($20) and the clams casino ($22). Note: clams are offered in 6 different styles. Italian style entrees from $18-33, more for specialty fish entrees i.e. zuppa de pesce $51. This is a fine dining restaurant offering well prepared and a variety of dinners. Bill was $100. for two meals & four alcoholic beverages. We ended our evening at the unique bar & dining area where we could still see & hear the band. This place also offers overnight accommodations & is an event venue. A very good first visit here. Restaurant Hours of Operation: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 4PM - 9PM Friday & Saturday 4PM - 10PM Sunday 3pm-9pm Restaurant is closed on Tuesdays. Reservations are recommended. “Ordered 2 cheese pizzas, each was $10 which was a good deal. The guy gave us 11 plates which was funny because it was just two of us each eating one pizza LOL. But it was good, took about 20 mins to be prepared but it was also the middle of a snow storm so they were probably low on staff, so it's possible they're usually quicker.“

There was a mistake on the pizza we ordered so they corrected it and gave us the mistake pie. Completely unnecessary but, we were able to feed some friends as well. Thank you. “We recently celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary, which was a good choice. We found the staff to be polite and friendly from when we entered until we left two hours later. The environment was pleasant and easy with a touch of class. The half-chicken "Picata" ordered was "mm-hmm good" served with an exquisitely savory sauce, prepared by Chef Jake, who is a rising star and a compliment to Troy's fine dining experience. “As out-of-town visitors we leaned on our friends suggestions and came here for dinner. Wow! Delicious! The chicken parmigiana sandwich was delicious. The pizza was a huge favorite with the younger and older kids. The spaghetti sauce was extra special and we ended up taking some to go to dip bread in at home. “I went there tonight for the first time...ordered my pizza in house, waited the stated time, went back in, paid and enjoyed it out in the car..the establishment has a spacious lot for customers...had heard of Dante's pizzas awhile back...decided to finally take a drive out (I live about 40 minutes from there)... I must say, I was impressed. in particular, was the freshness of what I was eating [8 cut pepperoni, mushroom and hot peppers)..the sauce was balanced and on point. the peppers were in two rich varieties, appeared to be freshly sliced, and pepperoni was a tasty, mild Margherita style that was generously offered. I've had pizza from a good number of well-respected pizza places in the capital region- and this pizza had had a very nice composition and the crust was nearly perfect in every way.. It had the proper donenese, the nice receding gumline that floated away to Fluffy, pillow like outer crust. The crust had a good crisp to it but not overly done...just overall great balance with finer ingredients for sure...I will definitely go back again. I would say that this pizza can compete with some of the most popular pizzeria's in the Tri -city area. I really believe that!!.. it was really good... in my opinion.“

This place used to be our go-to and we had nothing but good experiences but recently, the past several times we’ve ordered we have had nothing but issues. Between taking over an hour for deliveries (on week days later at night, not during dinner rush) and then today not bringing our garlic knots we had ordered and being over 15 min late with the delivery… The food has also been over cooked recently and our pizza today wasn’t even hot. We usually tip the drivers good so I’m not sure if it’s just us who has been experiencing this? But we will be finding a new pizza place to order from going forward.“
