The food was absolutely delicious the lady that took my order and served me was so friendly and so nice I can't wait till I'm working in the area to come back for lunch again. Apparently, it's the only proper sit-down Chinese restaurant in the area (with wait service) so this really worked out nicely. Eason, was very professional, super attentive and polite and Lee was so kind as well, in accommodating us and explaining the menu, in addition to allowing for substitutions. For $7 extra, choice of soup, roast pork egg roll/spring roll/shrimp roll (not greasy at all!), and ice cream are included! The ambiance and food take you back to how it used to be back in the day. “Oriental Kitchen is our family’s new favorite Chinese in Suffolk. We recently moved to the area and have been trying to find a decent New York style Chinese spot and last night we found one. Yay! The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered classics like beef broccoli, general tsos, veg dumplings, wonton soup and chicken wings. Wow!! The bun was light, fluffy, and perfectly steamed—soft and pillowy with just a slight slipperiness that made it fun (and a little messy) to eat. I've been to many restaurants in Flushing and Manhattan and I gotta say that Spice Workshops food is even better than some of those restaurants. The flavor is very authentic to what szechuan food is suppose to be. My recommendation for ordering:

- Shredded pig feet with peppers
- Cabbage
- Sweet and sour fried crispy pork
- Hunan beef with green peppers

The pork fried rice is just okay it would be great it they had bigger chunks of pork in the rice. I suggest getting the regular large quarts of food rather than the combination platter because it has less food in it. Also the soup could have a better brothy taste to it. I would recommend this spot. I was also so glad that they deliver to my area. I placed the order over the phone which was pleasant and easy to understand the person on the other side. Fried dumplings, shrimp toast, combo beef and broccoli, which comes with fried rice and an egg roll. Now for many places thus far, i have never been able to find where all the items were good. Its usually none or one or two of the items i order. ALL of it was very good! I like how you can order delivery directly from their website and pay cash upon delivery (like the good ole days!). And while its not that far, I am in Centereach and this place in in Nesconset, it is about 4 miles away which is not directly in my local area and yet it still got here pretty fast and HOT! I would definitely order from them again based on taste alone!“

This spot would be a 5/5 stars if they were twice consistent. As mentioned, the first time I visited it was delicious; especially the Egg foo young sauce/gravy.

Came back last week and it tasted “similar” but not nearly the same. Much to heavy of the minty flavor in the topping. Maybe they have a new cook in training or just over-measured. Regardless, not a big deal.

Food is good overall and I think I’ll give C Garden another shot. If they go back to the flavor first time I visited I’ll give them that 4 -> 5 ⭐️ promotion.

“I grew up going there. I always liked it. I would get the chicken and broccoli with white sauce, white rice. I would get wonton soup and shrimp roll. It's been there over 30 years. I don't know if it's new owners, have not ate there in awhile. I think it's been a few years. I have to back and try again. It's a take place, but they have a few tables. I called I wanted delivery which they don't do. I understand the roads are crazy, safety, they are busy cooking. They have I think GrubHub but I don't have any if those delivery apps. Anyway delivery can get expensive fuel charge, etc. Some places don't charge delivery fees, but your still tipping. Anyway they have good lunch specials. If they have cheese wontons I would try. I would hope they would be bid and filled with alot of cheese. Enjoy.“

We always order different things to get an overall feel for the food. Wonton Egg Drop Soup is decent. Fried Dumplings are excellent. Chicken on a stick was nicely seasoned and very good. Tonight we ordered the Great Wall Special. It was great. The chicken and beef were tender. Nice sized shrimp were delicious. The roast pork was a little chewy and tough. The wonton soup was pretty standard but the wonton meat was really good. I think it was ginger in there that made them stand out. My only complaint was the large boneless spareribs at 18$ were very fatty. Could have been the batch so I won’t hold that against them unless it happens again.“
