“I was quite happy to happen upon this place as I was visiting a nearby antique store. I really don't think they need my accolades as they seem to be a very well respected Chinese restaurant. I live in flushing so of course that would be a lot of competition to meet my expectations regarding Chinese food

I ordered the shrimp dumpling noodle soup with bok choy. The broth was tasty and delicious! The handmade shrimp dumplings were very generously loaded with shrimp. I ordered extra bok choy and a side of chili oil. This was a perfect lunch and I recommend it highly!“

“I’ve been a loyal customer at this restaurant for years, the black chicken was always amazing and the string beans were phenomenal. Something changed recently, either my tastebuds or a recipe change, but unfortunately I’m not able to eat it anymore and when I expressed my heartbreak that I couldn’t eat it, they gave me a refund. Next time I will try something new because they deserve it, but I’m so grateful for their understanding and support“

“This place surprised me, the food was amazing. The portion size was great. What I liked most about the food was it was so tasteful. The egg roll was fresh and tasted great, not a lot of oil was used unlike other restaurants. “I often order a steamed chicken n broccoli meal with (chicken) fried rice which comes with a pint of (chicken noodle or wonton) soup. They also grow their own string beans at home n offer them to change up my meal now n then. Nice folks.

I've been to many restaurants in Flushing and Manhattan and I gotta say that Spice Workshops food is even better than some of those restaurants. The flavor is very authentic to what szechuan food is suppose to be. My recommendation for ordering:

- Shredded pig feet with peppers
- Cabbage
- Sweet and sour fried crispy pork
- Hunan beef with green peppers

The bun was light, fluffy, and perfectly steamed—soft and pillowy with just a slight slipperiness that made it fun (and a little messy) to eat. The shrimp inside was tender and flavorful, cooked with sautéed onions and scallions in a savory sauce that soaked beautifully into the bun without being greasy or overpowering.

“Great local Chinese restaurant with large portions and great prices, especially lunch specials. The owners and staff are very friendly, and service is quick, even if you decide to order at the place and take out.
