“My husband and I recently hosted our baby shower for our first baby at Flinder's last weekend (3/21/26), and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. We hosted roughly 55 people and utilized the entire restaurant for our private event (restaurant buyout). From the onset, Ross and Eric (Mgr. + Assistant Mgr.) were incredibly friendly, responsive to all my questions via email, and agreed to meet not once, but TWICE in-person to ensure all details were accounted for, and that our requests would be accommodated. The event ran smoothly because of their professionalism and attention to detail. During the event, the kitchen, bar, and wait staff were incredibly attentive, kind, friendly, and honestly felt like part of the party the entire time. Our family and friends raved about the entire experience, including the service, the food, and the configuration of the space. The staff here are very kind and friendly and will happily fix your order if you get the wrong food. I am a huge fan of their menu, they have a lot of great items on it despite it being so limited. My go to ramen has to be the spicy ramen, it has a rich creaminess, with the hint of spice for those looking for that extra kick to dance on their taste buds. The meat is nice and tender, going hand in hand for a good song and dance with those chewy yet soft noodles that go down as easy as the soup. So much to love about this place, especially when it's so close to one of the objective best malls on Long island. Definitely my go to hang out spot for food, never has let me down!“

She loved both. She only wished the fennel pieces were cut in thirds. The portions are average in size and prices more akin to NYC than Rye. But overall we were happy.“

As many of my followers know, I don’t believe in one-and-done restaurant reviews. Real opinions come from returning multiple times to understand the consistency, quality, and service over time. That’s how a restaurant earns the label of being truly great.

Last night we returned to Piccolo and once again it delivered.

A warm greeting, a quick stop at the bar, running into friends for some laughs, and then a beautiful dinner with my wife in one of Huntington’s most charming dining rooms. Even with a lively crowd, the atmosphere somehow melts into the background and lets you focus on the moment and the person across the table.

Jeremy took great care of us while Jason stopped by to check in, something that always makes the experience feel personal.

We started with the wedge salad and a thoughtful complimentary tuna tartare that was bright, fresh, and beautifully balanced with avocado.

My wife chose the Orecchiette Caroline — perfectly balanced with hot & sweet sausage, broccoli rabe, tomatoes, garlic and oil.

I went with the weekly special Braised Boneless Beef Short Rib with horseradish cream, rich jus, crispy onions, vegetables and mashed potatoes — tender, flavorful and beautifully presented.

We finished with their house-made carrot cake and cappuccino, which remains one of my favorites.

Piccolo continues to deliver warm hospitality, exceptional food, and that perfect romantic neighborhood atmosphere that keeps us coming back.

It was by far, the best burger I’ve ever had. My wife had her usual, the fried chicken sandwich. We’ve never had anything but a great meal and drink at our favorite Huntington haunt.“

The front desk manager, Stephen, immediately addressed my concern and moved me to a room in a more desirable location. I also found the front desk and concierge lounge employees to be very friendly and helpful. My room service attendant, Holly, made sure my order was as specified and she delivered it with a smile!! I really appreciated her kind demeanor. I felt my business mattered to everyone I came in contact with at this Marriott property and would not hesitate staying here again when my travels bring me back to Long Island.“
