Lex served me today she did an incredible job as always I work all the time was very down and it felt good to know after moving back to putnam valley I still have my favorite hangouts. Carl deserves a lot of credit too I will never forget the covid shutdown how sad he was for his staff just a guy who cares. Theresa and Stephanie should run their own place one day they are that knowledgeable of the business. I hope Ashley still works there shes brilliant in life became like a sister to me thats how frequent I used to go there when I lived at home. I am writing this so corporate understands these are hard working people who go above and beyond. By the way let them choose the music as long as its not explicit so they don't have to hear the same songs all day switch it up.“

“Last month I had my daughter's baby shower at Savannah's in the room upstairs. We had a great time! Plenty of space, the waitstaff took good care of us and of course the food was delicious. Catering manager Ellena was helpful and easy to work with. I highly recommend Savannah's for your next event!“

“Absolutely excellent dinner location for Thanksgiving. Authentic Revolutionary War Era Inn setting with phenomenal dinner menu for Thanksgiving. 4 of us came here for Thanksgiving- my wife, me and her parents, we all got something different and this place did not disappoint on anything. The chateubriand filet mignon and New Zealand rack of lamb were on point in every way. The side vegetables- the sweet potatoes, the stuffing, the arugula, the green beans, and the carrots were all perfectly cooked to an optimome composition and coloring. The popovers were a nice throwback a little dry but the strawberry butter more than made up for them. The dessert the Belgian chocolate mousse was impeccable. The overall ambiance and atmosphere of this place was very Yankee in a great way, it reminded me of Olde New England Inns and Taverns. Pricing wise it was not the most economical menu but doing Thanksgiving at home with guests wouldn’t have been cheaper. I definitely recommend anyone slightly interested in a place like this come here as they will fully enjoy. We did not reside here but if their hotel accommodations are on par with their dining accommodations, you will get what you pay for and then some.“

“Noticed the truck over by bear mountain and decided to stop for an empanada! I was pleasantly surprised!! The tequila quesadilla AND the empanada were ON POINT!! The line aioli sauce was so delicious I wish I asked for extra! The empanadas were cooked perfectly!!! Definitely recommend 5 out of 5!!“

“This place is amazing! We had 25 people coming from an Army game and called to see if they could take us all in an hour- they said yes and we are so glad they did! Servers Michael and Justin were incredible! We walked in, tables were set, water glasses filled and menus ready. They handled separate bills with ease, drink orders, soups, appetizers, meals and desserts with amazing customer service- and the food was a home run!! True comfort food with a flare! The Schwing burgers & Mac/cheese, deviled egg appetizers and skillet cookie were just a few of our favs! The list of beers on tap was long and something for everyone’s tastebuds for sure! “I just had my daughter’s Baptism party at the HWC and I would HIGHLY recommend!!! Everything was exceptional. The food was phenomenal and the service was amazing. Our guests are still talking about the food and the cake is definitely one of the best we have ever tried. The restaurant is beautiful but the staff and owners make you feel like family. They were so helpful throughout the process and made it such a pleasure to work with them. They really treat you like family. “From my first step inside the restaurant I was greeted with a smile by the owner/mgr. Very attentive and friendly service at this modest establishment. I had some of the best wings I've had in about 3 years....and I am PICKY about my wings. Perfect combination of crispiness, sauce/seasoning and freshness. Nice selection of flavors.. I chose the medium wings and garlic parmesan. DELICIOUS! My daughter's burger was top notch as well. Can't wait to be back and try the rest of their diverse menu. Highly recommended ?“

“The restaurant 1915 is located on the second floor of the historic Bear Mountain Inn, and for most visitors, it’s the only real dining option in the park if you’re hoping for something more substantial than trail mix or a packed lunch. And you do pay for the premium. At noon, it operates buffet-style, charging for about $60 a person, with only a moderate selection of food. For hot foods, you can’t serve yourself. Instead, you point at your choices behind the buffet line and a waiter portions it for you, a slightly annoying formality.

The spread leans toward comfort food: carved meats, pastas in creamy sauces, roasted vegetables, and a modest salad bar with cured meats and smoked salmon tucked among the greens. There’s a waffle station too, where you can point the cook to pile berries, whipped cream, and dried fruits onto thick golden rounds. It’s not an overwhelming variety, and for the price — noticeably high — you might hope for a bit more refinement or breadth.

With the above said, the food is simple but satisfying: the salmon surprisingly moist, the beef hearty, the salad fresh if unremarkable. The waffles are great, feel like a small indulgence earned after a morning’s climb. And the setting — those sweeping views through the wide lodge windows, the heavy timbered ceiling soaring above — makes the meal feel like part of a larger, almost storybook outing.“
