“The food is always fresh; you can buy your fish at their market at the front of house. The restaurant can be a tad loud; but the food is outstanding, delicious, fresh and abundant. An amazing menu array, filled with everything from oysters to lobster to crab legs.In the area, Gillian’s is a quiet institution, known to locals and always serves up the freshest and the best.Enjoy!!Parking: Never had a problem in the past“

“My brother, sister and I took a road trip from Staten Island NY to have lunch with another brother that lives in New Windsor NY, and we picked this diner as a point where we could meet and catch up on family and personal chat. What a great choice it was for a lunch spot. I have been to so many diners in my life, but I can honestly say that this was one of the best, if not the best burger that I have ever had from a diner. Really great. My siblings had the same opinion of their selections as I had. And not only was the food great, but the service was also fantastic. Attentive, but not rushed. So friendly. This won't be our last road trip to the All American Diner. Well done.“

“An absolutely abundant amount of choices, that All sound so delicious. What an incredibly unique menu. We were definitely overwhelmed on what to have. We had the taco Birria pancakes and mozzarella stick hamburger with mozzarella cheese fries. Both were delicious. The service was great, even though we got there just before closing, they didn't rush us. The inside reminds me of a 50's style dinner, so cool. We can't wait to go back and try other things with friends. Highly recommend if you like unique and creative foods.“

“Surf and Turf is egg over bits of steak and shrimp over a bowl of spicy rice…very good if you like spice. Brussel sprouts are outstanding. The jerk chicken is served with a bowl of spicy rice. A coconut mojito is excellent with lots of fresh mint mixed in. Service is very good in this small venue. No doubt they will grow in size, hopefully the menu will grow as well.Parking: The restaurant is located on a corner lot plaza.“

“When you travel, you seek to find outstanding restaurants. Sometimes you win, other times, you don't. The Hudson House is a great find, a winner at every turn! From our initial greeting by the owner, Matt, to the great staff who didn't miss a beat, to the most critical part, the food, there wasn't a moment of regret. We started with a couple of tables shares. We had cheese plate with 3 cheeses, homemade fig jam to die for, fresh thinly sliced honeycrisp apples, delicious grapes, and an oil-infused crustini. Perfect start, followed by the burrata and pumpkin seed salad with carmelized pears and sweet potato chunks. I didn't think it could get better after this. I tried the sweet potato and fennel soup, very warm and hearty on a cold night, and the taste was just as I hoped! A beet and farro salad with radishes hit the mark! My partner had a fresh halibut that was cooked to perfection, served on ramen noodles and baby bok choy, with an array of fresh mushrooms, with a gentle but flavorful broth, but not enough to be called soup. To me, one of the best fish dishes I've tasted in a long time. Our guests, the wedding couple, ordered duck breast confit, and hanger steak. The duck, one of her favorites, was tender, most, cooked properly and seasoned well. It was a hit with her and her mother. The hanger steak was the choice of the groom, a very picky eater. He couldn't stop reaching about how amazing it was! Sadly, we were so full, we couldn't eat dessert. All the desserts are homemade by the owner, and they sounded unbelievable. But I'll have to return another time to speak to them. Finally, ask to sit in the jail cell. The pictures tell only some of the story. It's a wine cellar, a hidden romantic getaway, a reprise of days long gone. Or have a seat at the bar with the locals. Or just come and see the beautiful tin ceiling and walls. No matter what you do here, you won't be disappointed.“

“Decent spot to stop by and grab a quick bite. Service is friendly and relatively quick. Prices are regular. Ordered their fish tacos which were pretty tasty. Also got a side of guacamole which was a bit bland. Noting for those looking for actual Mexican food, this is not Mexican food, but rather an Americanized version of Mexican food.“

“Had a great evening at the Shannon Rose. Their monthlong celebration of St Patrick’s day and the Irish cuisine were just what we needed on a cold, rainy day. And our server Misty was a genuine pleasure to deal with. Excellent recommendations on both food and drinks.“

We were amazed with the quantity and quality of food.Topped it up with Fried Orio ice cream, again absolutely on spot.It is a small takeout place with a 10 seating spots. After tasting the food I wasn’t surprised to find that the owner is a five star banquet chef with very high aspirations.“

“It was a beautiful Friday evening just at the beginning of the anticipated "happy hour". Walking into Peekskill public you get an immediate nostalgia for Dublin, Ireland, it's a cool feeling.U guys got wings? Yes some of the best, the friendly bartender said and of course they'll all say that. With a good selection of cold NA beers, was happy to have 2 before being handed a plate of wings (buffalo), a perfect mix of drums and flats. Wow, is all I can say, and also look forward to going back.If you're in the area this spot is a must go. Little nightcap with some billiards and friendly crowd to shoot it with. Cheers“

“WOWThis was a huge surprise. I was visiting a customer in Peekskill New York, and pulled over to grab a small bite to eat from a food truck. I pulled into the lot and noticed there was a big line. When I got on line there were a lot of regulars talking about what they were going to order. I asked one of them what they would recommend, and they said you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. They were so right.I got an order of taco's. You got to pick any three taco's you wanted. and the order came with hand cut fries, and this amazing lime aioli. I had a chorizo, fish, and chicken taco. They might have been the best I ever had. After I finished I had to tell the owner how great the food was. He happened to be the nicest guy, and was truly happy to hear that I thoroughly enjoyed his food. He makes all of his food fresh daily, and makes his own chorizo.I went home that night, and told my son about the truck. That weekend I stopped by again, this time with my son and his fiance. Octavio remembered me right away. We ordered a braised short rib grill cheese on Texas toast, a Cuban sandwich that he made with his own smoked pulled pork, and his home made empanada's. All three of us were amazed with his food.My son was getting married in three weeks, and we had rented an Airbnb for the weekend, and were throwing a rehearsal dinner for about 40 people the night before the wedding. We had already planned on having it catered, but my son mentioned why don't we do something different, and see if Octavio would bring his food truck to the Airbnb instead of using a caterer. It wound up being fantastic. We spoke with Octavio, and picked five items off the menu to serve that night. Everyone at the party raved about the food, and Octavio surprised us at the end by serving his home made caramel stuffed churro's with chocolate sauce. If you love great food, you must give him a visit...“

“I ordered the porchetta sandwich. It looked better than it tasted. The ciabatta was not a true ciabatta and did not go with the sandwich. The porchetta was just crisped up pork belly and was skimpy on the portion considering the price of the sandwich. The waitress said I can substitute the fries for any of the sides but didn't state there would be an upcharge. There was tiny fine print under the sandwiches that says they'll be an upcharge but it's very easy to overlook. I opted for the warm cabbage side which was very tasty and would order again. My friend ordered the beet salad and that looked amazing. I'd suggest trying that and if I go again I'll order that instead.Lastly, the water glass had lipstick on it. I wasn't wearing any. When I asked for a fresh and clean water glass, there was no acknowledgement about the lipstick, even after I pointed it out. That was unprofessional, in my opinion as a former waitress and bartender.Overall, will I go back? Eventually, yes but it's towards the bottom of the list of things to do.“

“Their service and atmosphere is unique to the Monroe & Hudson Valley NY area as you don’t get the personalized attention anywhere else. I see a lot of posts asking where the best French Onion Soup, and/or wings are in Monroe and the surrounding areas, I tried them all - Bourbon has the best!!“

“I had my daughter-in-law‘s shower here, and everybody still talks about it three years later! We had it in the restaurant part, as long as you have 50 people or more, you can have the Champagne Brunch. We had about 80! It was one of the best showers ever! UNLIMITED mimosas and champagne, and the buffet goes from breakfast foods, all the way into lunch foods! Everything imaginable from baked ziti, Penne vodka, fresh shrimp, eggplant parm, chicken parm, AND the owner/Chef himself was slicing up fresh Prime Rib!!! The service was impeccable! They treated us like royalty! Very attentive and efficient and also sweet. Evan really works with you and your Budget to achieve one of the best celebrations you can imagine! We ALSO go there for dinner, and always have the NY strip steak smothered with onions, peppers, and fried potatoes. It’s absolutely amazing! We recently booked a dinner party in the main dining roomfor my husband’s 60th birthday! I’m sure it will be fabulous!“

“Lynch’s is fortunate last minute find for a belated 50th birthday treat✨✨✨Ms. Lauren reserved a table for us last night 25 minutes before we reached Lynch’s. She was considerate and explained on the phone that only the small dining room is available.During dinner, she checked on us twice if everything’s okay!!Lynch’s staff were very busy running back and forth for their diners and yet Ms. Brenda asked us if we’ve been served (We did not have to call her attention.). She immediately took our her order pad.Water, warm bread and raisin bread were immediately served. We were hungry and welcomed the complimentary bread. Not long after, our Ceasar Salad and Chicken Wings were in front of us followed by the Chicken Barley soup. My guests were pleased with all the food. Our Seafood Fra Diavlo (fresh calamari, clams, scallops, shrimps) and tender Mixed Grilled Meat (beef, chicken, sausage) with mushrooms, mashed potatoes and perfectly prepared mixed vegetables were all delicious?.Their dishes’ portions are generous and reasonably priced. “I work locally and order from here at least 2 times per week. Everything I have ordered is ALWAYS fantastic. The gyro sauce "white dill dauce", do not call it tzatziki ( I was gently corrected several times) is phenomenal! so much so that I would dunk the Pastrami Reuben into it. The gyro, to quote Andrew Zimmern, sloopy, ooey gooey deliciousness! The star of the show has to be the cheesesteak eggroll, holy #$%^!!!! I called today to order and when I was told it was sold out...yeah, that's right, a non-Chinese eatery being sold out of egg rolls! I replaced with the cheesesteak empanada....BAM just as good! I am skeptical about ordering anything different because on the SLIM chance what I ordered does not hit the Empire State Building bar that has been set.....I feel like I would have just wasted my lunch. Not gonna happen... EAT HERE! That is all.“

“Let’s check the boxes before a short story. Food? Yes! Plenty of it and there is not a bad dish in the house. Service? Oh yes, with a smile and a promise of making sure you get it exactly how you want it. Atmosphere? This is almost the best part. Everyone waiting in a long line is moving quickly and happy to be there. Anticipating their next delicious meal.Ok, now the meat and potatoes of my review. I live in Staten Island and there is no shortage of good food. And while I don’t come to pearl River specifically to visit Munnos, my dad always asks that I go there for our lunch. This last weekend I got a chicken cutlet parm hero, he got tuna on a seeded hero with extra mayo. Odd choice for an Italian sandwich shop, but pop is old and I don’t scoff at anything he does anymore. While he was eating I did something I never do, I asked for a bite. Now I haven’t had tuna fish in over 30 years. He cut me a small piece and passed it over to my plate. Now I need to say, that food is the one thing families have come together over and have since the beginning of time. Back in 2022 we lost mom. When I took a bite of that tuna sandwich, I was immediately transported back to 9 years old eating mom’s tuna.In short…thank you for causing some of the happiest tears I’ve had in a long time and for the trip back in time with a simple and delicious tuna sandwich. It’s just how mom used to make, which is no easy accomplishment.“

“Huuuuuuge Yard House fan - food, atmosphere, beers; awesome. The servers? Pretty hit&miss. Depends on if you like ordering your own stuff or if you need someone to come to your table and order for you. That's why service gets 3* and this place gets an overall 4*. Sometimes you get someone that just comes and refills your water and gets you napkins (which is perfect because food comes directly from the kitchen now) or you get someone who treats you like a child and kills your whole vibe.Best deal at this place: go on a Tuesday between 4:30 and 6, get 50% apps and happy hour. Then walk 50 feet across the mall and go see a $7 movie at AMC with your cheesecake creme brulee you brought with you (which you better clean up and throw out after yourself) then head home nice and sobered up:)“

“My friend and I had heard of this diner's unique offerings and we decided to pay a visit to try them. Everything we had was fantastic and perfectly prepared. She really enjoyed her caramel latte, as did I with my black coffee. Both variants of the French toast were amazing, and the additional toppings really added something interesting to the mix without being overpowering. We opted to get the maple syrup which is an extra $3 each, but it's well worth it. My friend loved her eggs and home fries as well, and only brought some home because she was too full to finish it all. My short rib and egg tacos were phenomenal and we're the perfect blend of breakfast and lunch influences. I absolutely loved it.Customer service here was amazing. The diner was very clean and the staff was accommodating and quick. We never had to look for a staff member when we needed something. I would definitely recommend anyone check them out. “First off I have to start this review by saying that their food is great. Been here more than enough times to know that their food and drink is consistent and never fails. My go-to is the classic burger and my wife loves the grilled chicken dish. Fries are top notch. Service is always great. My only issue is the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Theres no sugar coating that. This is actually one of the main reasons I never became a regular. I hope they can go away from the classic pub bar bathroom vibe and tidy things up in there.“

Server was lovely and band (Blend) was fun. Had folks out of their seats! Crowd was definitely of an older and wiser generation and my wife and 4 year old had a blast!Parking: Huge lot. “Good food, service and lively dining room. Our server handled the 12 of us with a smile!! My Shrimp Florentine was deliciously seasoned, penne cooked perfectly and the shrimp was plentiful and cooked perfectly!! The Buffalo Cauliflower special appetizer was spicy HOT! The only negative comment I have is the use of paper napkins, plastic spoons for dessert and individual containers for dressings and cheese seems more fast food like instead of finer dining with higher price points!! It was a good celebration for a dear friend!!“

“Belle Vita has been under new ownership for a couple of years. The former owners would be pleased. Not only can you get wonderful authentic Italian meats, cheeses and desserts. But!!!! I have to send special thanks. My mom is 90, almost 91. For Christmas she asked for an Italian EASTER holiday specialty, a pie/quiche.It had been so long since she saw one she mixed up Holidays. I called Belle Vita. The very kind young man I spoke to advised it was for Easter. This being my second Christmas as a widow, it was already difficult. And I wanted to give my Mom anything I could. I was not nice when they said only at Easter. I had to call back and apologize. About 5 minutes later my phone said Sally Boys Deli was calling me. My mothers name is Sally. Apparently the new owners have another deli with that name elsewhere. But It was Chris from Belle Vita. They were going to make me the dish for Mom. When one is a widow, and Mom is 90, all you want is to make her happy. So Belle Vita, Happy 2024, Thank you. :)“
