“When you travel, you seek to find outstanding restaurants. Sometimes you win, other times, you don't. The Hudson House is a great find, a winner at every turn! From our initial greeting by the owner, Matt, to the great staff who didn't miss a beat, to the most critical part, the food, there wasn't a moment of regret. We started with a couple of tables shares. We had cheese plate with 3 cheeses, homemade fig jam to die for, fresh thinly sliced honeycrisp apples, delicious grapes, and an oil-infused crustini. Perfect start, followed by the burrata and pumpkin seed salad with carmelized pears and sweet potato chunks. I didn't think it could get better after this. I tried the sweet potato and fennel soup, very warm and hearty on a cold night, and the taste was just as I hoped! A beet and farro salad with radishes hit the mark! My partner had a fresh halibut that was cooked to perfection, served on ramen noodles and baby bok choy, with an array of fresh mushrooms, with a gentle but flavorful broth, but not enough to be called soup. To me, one of the best fish dishes I've tasted in a long time. Our guests, the wedding couple, ordered duck breast confit, and hanger steak. The duck, one of her favorites, was tender, most, cooked properly and seasoned well. It was a hit with her and her mother. The hanger steak was the choice of the groom, a very picky eater. He couldn't stop reaching about how amazing it was! Sadly, we were so full, we couldn't eat dessert. All the desserts are homemade by the owner, and they sounded unbelievable. But I'll have to return another time to speak to them. Finally, ask to sit in the jail cell. The pictures tell only some of the story. It's a wine cellar, a hidden romantic getaway, a reprise of days long gone. Or have a seat at the bar with the locals. Or just come and see the beautiful tin ceiling and walls. My husband and I are frequent weekend guests at The Tasty Table because we like the food and the way we are treated as guests. I've noticed some less than positive reviews focused on difficulties getting a table during their busiest weekend times. This should indicate to all who are interested in going to The Tasty Table of how wonderful a restaurant it is. My suggestion is to take advantage of the 30 minute call aheads that are offered. You won't be disappointed!“

When I got on line there were a lot of regulars talking about what they were going to order. You got to pick any three taco's you wanted. and the order came with hand cut fries, and this amazing lime aioli. I had a chorizo, fish, and chicken taco. They might have been the best I ever had. After I finished I had to tell the owner how great the food was. He happened to be the nicest guy, and was truly happy to hear that I thoroughly enjoyed his food. He makes all of his food fresh daily, and makes his own chorizo.I went home that night, and told my son about the truck. That weekend I stopped by again, this time with my son and his fiance. Octavio remembered me right away. We ordered a braised short rib grill cheese on Texas toast, a Cuban sandwich that he made with his own smoked pulled pork, and his home made empanada's. All three of us were amazed with his food.My son was getting married in three weeks, and we had rented an Airbnb for the weekend, and were throwing a rehearsal dinner for about 40 people the night before the wedding. We had already planned on having it catered, but my son mentioned why don't we do something different, and see if Octavio would bring his food truck to the Airbnb instead of using a caterer. It wound up being fantastic. We spoke with Octavio, and picked five items off the menu to serve that night. Great bar area, lots of TVs (with the NFL package), and a growing selection of cheaper domestics and still-affordable craft beers and cocktails. The dining room is smaller but that's because there is a large pool table (takes dollars), a professional grade shuffleboard table and four dart boards with great lighting and score machines. Plus the newly expanded outdoor seating with private areas and fans...even a big outdoor TV in the lounge area. It's pretty great and the staff is very sweet and professional.Kid-friendliness: It's a time of day thing, it is a bar after all, but our kid loves being in the dining room with all the screens and people playing the games. Just lots to watch.“

“I ordered the porchetta sandwich. It looked better than it tasted. The ciabatta was not a true ciabatta and did not go with the sandwich. The porchetta was just crisped up pork belly and was skimpy on the portion considering the price of the sandwich. The waitress said I can substitute the fries for any of the sides but didn't state there would be an upcharge. There was tiny fine print under the sandwiches that says they'll be an upcharge but it's very easy to overlook. I opted for the warm cabbage side which was very tasty and would order again.My friend ordered the beet salad and that looked amazing. I'd suggest trying that and if I go again I'll order that instead.Lastly, the water glass had lipstick on it. I wasn't wearing any. When I asked for a fresh and clean water glass, there was no acknowledgement about the lipstick, even after I pointed it out. That was unprofessional, in my opinion as a former waitress and bartender.Overall, will I go back? Eventually, yes but it's towards the bottom of the list of things to do.“

“I had my daughter-in-law‘s shower here, and everybody still talks about it three years later! We had it in the restaurant part, as long as you have 50 people or more, you can have the Champagne Brunch. We had about 80! It was one of the best showers ever! UNLIMITED mimosas and champagne, and the buffet goes from breakfast foods, all the way into lunch foods! Everything imaginable from baked ziti, Penne vodka, fresh shrimp, eggplant parm, chicken parm, AND the owner/Chef himself was slicing up fresh Prime Rib!!! The service was impeccable! You can have a delicious meal a la carte or the tasting menu. I could not convince my husband to do the 15 course chef's tasting menu. But we did do the tasting menu with wine. Every dish was light, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. We enjoyed the wine pairings which were different (portuguese and spanish wines rounded out some American and South African wines). Home fries are what I would consider ideal, not to greasy or over seasoned, but crunchy on the outside and stuff on the inside. MENU: Three choices on our group menu: sliced steak, chicken marsala, or broiled salmon. The sides were rice or garlic mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. The waitress was thorough and pleasant- she assured that my food did not have any garlic or onion products on it.
