“The kitchen is small, but the flavors are big at the Playhouse Cafe. It’s unbelievable what they are capable of creating — this is not your typical movie theater cafe. Great cocktails, a full coffee shop (my favorite place to work on the weekends while the kids catch a movie), the charcuterie board is fabulous, the muffaletta is my favorite sandwich. My kids love the tater tots and chicken fingers. Don’t miss the churro bites for dessert! Best of all — you never need a movie ticket to eat in the cafe, but if you are seeing a movie — you can bring your food/drinks into the theater. “While in Stamford, a friend and I felt like having Indian food for lunch and found this gem. The food was spot on and presented nicely. The waiter was very gracious, patient, very pleasant and answered all of our many questions, describing things well.My friend ordered Lamb Kadhai Methiwala (onions, bell peppers and fresh fenugreek.) I ordered Lamb Korma (creamy cashew sauce.) We shared and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The lamb in each was tender. It was nice to share as one was rich and the other less rich with more heat. Both were balanced perfectly with spices. Each lunch plate came out Bento style with a goodie in each section - basmati rice (of course,) Aloo Tikki, a scrumptious vegetable of the day (which was potato with what I believe was tindora a.k.a. Ivy Gourd) and naan. Everything was so delicious that at the time I didn't even think to ask for the various chutneys. My friend and I agreed - we liked this restaurant very much and would definitely come back. Another positive is that it's priced very fairly. We wished we asked the waiter for his name so we could list it here and thank him for his service.“

“I went to visit Bobo's Cafe since there was a cars and coffee being held there in the lot. I was pleasantly surprised by the menu selection and how nice it was inside. It offered a very nice environment and plenty of sitting. I had a Latte and a Maui Wowie which is a fruit smoothie. The smoothie was very delicious and well made and the Latte too was an enjoyable drink and I highly recommend both selections. I look forward to visiting again.“

My favorite dish is the sauteed ginger and scallion with chicken and their tom kha soup is amazing. The drunken noodles with duck and the scallion pancake duck roll are also wonderful. The fried banana and homemade tiramisu are both excellent desserts.I am immunocompromised so I have only done takeout until last night when we sat outside in their lovely outdoor patio seating area. They have giant umbrellas that help to protect us from a few sun showers and we were treated a magnificent double rainbow during dinner.They also have plentiful free parking in the in the lot right next to the building..“

Attentive without hovering. The food was brought out promptly (I had to actually wait a minute for it to cool down which I prefer). They went above and beyond and actually inquired about my friends name so that when they brought out the dessert with a birthday candle, they could incorporate it into the birthday song. “Been coming to this place for 20 years idc what anyone says.. the shredded beef taco and chicken tacos with the salsa verde are good as hell. This isnt sloppy soggy heavy mexican food. Fresh flavors and textures working together. Crispy taco with marinated shredded beef topped with cool lettuce and tomato also crumbled queso fresca with the chiltomate sauce It’s absolute perfection! Rice and beans hit too not overly salted and perfectly cooked. They give you generous portions and chips and salsa with your order. The inside is very cute for dining… they have updated it since- used to be mostly takeout and like 2 tables inside. its very clean has a good vibe. good for anyone wanting grab a bite to eat alone and not feel weird lol. and in the nice weather they a few small tables outside!“

“Awesome date night spot with amazing food and super lively vibe. Cool bar scene and main dining area has a fireplace. Our group shared a bunch of appetizers and starters (oysters and lobster cocktail). The Clam Chowder was great and refreshingly had an appropriate portion of clams. The Big Eye Tuna, which also has spicy shrimp over vegetable fried rice was incredible and cooked perfectly. No question I'll be back. Highly recommend.“

“Cute spot for a quick meet up for coffee and a snack or brunch. Seems like an outpost of Starbucks with people sitting with their laptops without plans to move on. “Well let me say that out of the many burgers I’ve had, this was the best one in a WHILE! My cousin and I were out and hungry, and on a whim I searched for “burgers near me” and came across POW! Burger. When we walked in, the staff immediately greeted us, and our service was very good.I got the double POW! Burger with jalapeños added in and my cousin ordered the double Cheese Burger, and it didn’t even take 10 minutes, they came and left our order at our table, and we were SHOOK!These burgers are a hybrid via smash burger size but loaded burger presentation (see photo). We took our first bites, and the flavors just hit us like a semi-truck. The patties are made and cooked right in front of you, the vegetables tasted fresh, and their aioli sauce was on point. All in all, 8/10 grade, very good! I have had 10/10 burgers before from places that really push the limits of creativity and flavor, but there’s nothing wrong with going the tried and true way, classic always works!The ambience itself is good, they have a lot of seating, and it did get busy so you know people like the food. However, the grill is out in the open near some of the seating, which is fine, restaurants want to show you that they make your food fresh, but the quality and taste of your food should prove that on its own. Nonetheless, very good experience, I will definitely be coming back here soon!“

“Making a delivery for Uber which is funny I came to this place for the first time. Looking around I knew that this was a place I wanted to try. So I went back and how amazing is the food. A healthy option for good. I came here twice already and did the hamburger the first time and it was so good. The staff is friendly and always have a smile to help seat and serve you. I tried my Friends entree and I will say what I tried was fabulous. I love Norca the bartender and she gives wonderful service. Norca makes you feel like you don't want to leave, she is very welcoming and warm. I like to visit this restaurant when Norca is working. “My family hates trying new places, but Moderne Barn impressed on all fronts. We came for brunch and had a mix of entrees. I had an absolutely delicious burger, with thick-cut bacon that was scrumptious.The space is lovely, with a light, airy feeling and a lot of charm. Parking is also very easy. The staff were attentive throughout and we didn’t have to wait long for our food despite the popularity of Sunday brunch.“

We'll eat slowly. We ordered mussels for appetizer. Then I had a wild fish taco, Hubby had a Village burger, and our friend had a duck quesadilla; I am not kidding; it's a duck quesadilla! Of course, I had my hot green tea! I love my hot tea during brunch or lunch. The mussel was phenomenal! The food was exceptional! We loved everything that we ordered. The homemade creamy sauce that they used on top of my taco was fantastic. I don't usually like creamy sauce or anything with my food, but I definitely enjoyed this one. “I was sitting in Parkway Diner looking across the street and COBS caught my eye. I thought they were named after Cos Cob but apparently they are a chain. An international chain with only one US location, right here in Stamford. Okay, then, COBS we go! I had my eye on a bread loaf for some carbs. But I wasn't sure if I wanted their Cape Seed bread. 9 types of seeds but not clear if you get the nice big seeds throughout the dough that I like. I asked about it and they simply took an entire loaf and sliced it, then handed out samples to my entire group. And then just packaged the bread and handed it over and said "this is on us". Yes, it's later in the day. Maybe you could tell I wasn't really sold on the bread. But my. goodness. how friendly and helpful and customer-oriented these people are! Oh, and they donate unbought food at the end of the day to a local food pantry. With all this, I decided to buy a couple of scones and leave an extra-generous tip for the bread. Let me tell you, the triple chocolate scone is tasty, unexpected icing and unique flavor throughout, but the lemon blueberry? Oh. My. Gosh. Divine. SOOOOO much blueberry flavour (since they're international and giving out scones, I will spell it their way) in every bite. So glad I brought these scones home and now I'm looking at the bag as I type this, preparing to lick the blueberry remnants from the wrapper. Sounds like 5 stars to me.“

He and his team were very flexible as I came by numerous times checking table materials and possible table setups. The venue including Nelson, his wife Christine and famy met and exceeded all my expectations Nelson was very patient and accommodating. I had a cocktail hour inside because it was too humid outside.
