For $22 (Plus tip) you get a Pastrami or Corned beef (I got pastrami), a square or round knish or steak fries, cole slaw, pickles and a Dr. Brown's soda. Look: A great deli knows that the secret of success is not to futz with perfection. My Aunt Joan and Uncle Bill of Blessed memory either took me to Liebman's or had them cater their simchas for as far back as I can remember. The pastrami I had today was as fatty, smoky, salty, tender and delicious as it always was and always will be. Was it worth two and a half hours on public transit from South Brooklyn to get there?
