“5 stars are not enough to tell you how good this place is. We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. My only regret of the night was not having enough stomachs to enjoy more of what Madre could serve up. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Madre!“

“Had the chef's tasting menu dinner with two friends. It was consensus 5 ⭐ for the food afaict. One of the friends, who typically won't visit the same restaurant twice, indicated it was so good they would consider returning. They also added onto their list the sister's restaurant of Traif.

My favorite was probably the scallop risotto, closely followed by the caprese salad.“

“Solid breakfast burritos and great tortillas, which are like gold here. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu yet, but it’s just a matter of time - the salads look awesome. I moved here from Texas a year ago and love everything about the city (except for the rent), but I do miss Tex Mex and good tortillas. New Mexican is its own cuisine and sure hits the spot while also being healthier, and those tortillas are a game changer. So glad to have found this place, just had breakfast from here, and am already looking forward to going back.“

“Great take on Lu rou fan (minced pork and rice), excellent scallion pancakes and awesome dessert (Tian miantuan) that was like a sandwich of sweet fried dough, golden sesame ice cream and condensed milk (plus cilantro and butter dried peanuts)! Great beverages as well such as the slightly sweetened Jasmine iced tea and Sanzo (lychee & calamansi) sparkling water products!“

One of my favorite places to sit in New York period (and I’ve eaten up and down and around these parts). Fun too! “The perfect evening. My boyfriend and I were looking to celebrate our 5 year anniversary, we’ve enjoyed their brunch so we decided to stop in on a cold night for dinner. We sat at the bar.
We ordered the salmon tartare to start - it was phenomenal - so many flavors and the green sauce has some wasabi in it, the black on top are toasted sesame I think which added a lot of flavor and crunch - I could have eaten one whole serving myself for dinner and be content.
I asked them to space out the food which they did very nicely.
Next we tried the shrimp - buttery and with the green salsa delicious and cooked to perfection.
Next we balled out and couldn’t decide between the lamb shank and the prime sirloin - so we ordered both. I would go back for both of them, they were well balanced and delicious.
That lamb shank fell apart in my mouth, with the savory sauce and the smooth mashed potatoes under it. I will be thinking about that meal for a long time.

To end the night the manager/owner (not sure his name) but he let us try a few of his favorite liqueurs. He then made us a free little s’mores on his homemade marshmellow (all after we paid so he wasn’t trying to work for a tip) then last we were getting up to leave and he poured me another glass of wine and my partner another of the ipa he was drinking and asked us to stay. We stayed for a while chatting about our favorite neighborhood spots
In nyc it’s sometimes hard to get that homey, friendly, neighborhood feel. But here the staff were kind, incredibly attentive, and this was a night we will reflect on for a long time.

“We started with the Calamari which was very good. I like the tentacles and there were plenty of them, however, my GF is not as much into them. She had the prime rib which she found delightful. I tasted it and approve it. I had the Chilean Sea bass which came on a bed of potato puree, with broccolini and truffles in it. This was an amazing dish. There was also a grouper that looked good and some interesting items. We did not make it to dessert had two rounds of wine.. This is our second time there. First time we had the prix fixe menu which is more cost-effective but limits what you can order. This was indeed pricy but the food was excellent.“

“The local TGIFridays I had been going to for 10+ years closed down. I decided to travel abit further out to go to Friday’s “one last time.” But my server Fabia changed my mind. She was friendly and funny. Told me about recent updates to the menu and the food was as good as always. My experience made me realize that traveling a bit further wont be so bad after all.“

We stopped in after a Sunday Broadway matinee Very friendly staff Started with a red Wine Sangria and Hibiscus Margarita, both were very tasty Had the Tacos and Clara Burgher (angus beef). Again all food items were perfectly prepared as ordered. Finished with coffee , tea, and cinnamon churros Great service throughout the meal. Server kept checking to make sure everything was perfect. The girl behind the bar came over to check if we liked our drinks (we did). Place was very clean. Staff was super friendly and food was delicious $100 with tax and tip. This year I decided to give the excellent and highly favored family cooking team a break and had Austin’s Ale House cater our Christmas Dinner. I went with the ham dinner for 10 to feed 7 people🤣. The ordering was done with ease and so was the pick up. The family did a preliminary tasting...... LOVED .IT and whatever we have left after the “taste test” will have to serve as our Christmas Dinner. Since the taste test was so aggressive we may need to supplement what’s left with a few cheese omelets 🤣. We enjoyed it so much there was much talk about it becoming the new family tradition. We got a welcome eggnog, brilliantly cooked 3 course price fix menu, great service. There were some hiccups (soup came out crazy fast, while the drinks took the normal time. A little odd) loved that they had a kobe steak as arn option, very moist turkey too. Pumpkin creme bruleee was tasty-not too "pumpkiny". They even have us a free champagne with dessert. I love the fact that the chairs were very comfortable and cushioned and there were no stairs to use the restroom which was a big plus for my elderly aunt. The food was absolutely delicious we shared the fried calamari platter and scallops risotto for appetizers. The porterhouse veal chop was absolutely divine! We ended the night with a birthday's cake and the live guitarist/vocalist chimed in and sang happy birthday! - First of all waffle fries is really delicious 4.5/5.
- For Ribeyes it was thin and I ordered medium-rare, it came medium. Tastes a little salty for me, I like the flavor. It is pricy for this quality of meat choice and cook. Sides are okay. 3.5/5“
