“My family and I absolutely adore and exault Traditions. We've gone there so frequently and for so long that we've come to know the owner and even the service staff.

I have NEVER had such good kosher food for such incredible value price-wise. $10-$25 a plate, and you absolutely will be full and satisfied, and will come back.

Edit: After returning in 2026, it appears that they have raised the prices - which IMO is not unjustified. While I can say that the food is great value for money (weighing quality and portion size), that value is only a little bit better than other places of this style - whereas before it was simply unmatched. Same great food and same GREAT service - just now a bit more expensive than before. Still 5 stars.“

“A teen "jogger" waitress, gave me an attitude. I ordered some soup for take out. This waitress was angry and hostile. The soup was cold, and there were no crackers! The waitress needs some anger managment! Every time I go there, their service is dreadful. This will be the last time! Phooey!“

The food was always outstanding and it hasn't changed. The service was always spot on and continues to be warm and caring. The four of had their prix fixed dinner and it was outstanding. The portions were the same size as the ala carte menu and the food was spot on. hadn't been there in a while because of some health issues but we will be regulars again as will our friends.“

“I have been a customer of Austin’s Ale House for many years, I know them well they know me well. This year I decided to give the excellent and highly favored family cooking team a break and had Austin’s Ale House cater our Christmas Dinner. I went with the ham dinner for 10 to feed 7 people🤣. The ordering was done with ease and so was the pick up. The family did a preliminary tasting...... LOVED .IT and whatever we have left after the “taste test” will have to serve as our Christmas Dinner. Since the taste test was so aggressive we may need to supplement what’s left with a few cheese omelets 🤣. We enjoyed it so much there was much talk about it becoming the new family tradition. “Patata is an innovative and unique take on the potato inspired by companies I’ve seen on tik tok from across the river. It appears they’ve bottled the magic and whimsy of companies like the Spudbros in the UK, and serve those bottles right here in Queens, just feet away from Queens Center Mall.

To start, the potato was creamy and cheesy, just how grandma made it! The skin was crispy and served as a delightful outro to this meal. The toppings choices were abundant, however I think they could’ve put a bit more on the potato. If I ran the place, I’d offer nacho cheese, but I don’t so I’ll trust the experts here.

The service was fantastic. From the second we entered, to the minute we said goodbye, we were catered to as if we were aristocracy. The staff even gave us a complimentary sauce that he thought accommodated the chicken we ordered atop our spud— a great touch.

My main drawback is the space. Patata sits almost kiosk style next to Mama’s Empanadas, an Elmhurst staple for many years. However, despite being small, this hole in the wall is mighty and is a must visit when you’re shopping in the area.
