“We finally had the chance to visit Bassett Caterers today. They catered our wedding at the Foundry over 21 years ago, and I don’t think we ever properly thanked them back then. Their service was amazing—they handled everything from the food to the chairs to the servers, making the day so easy for us. If you need catering, I can’t recommend Bassett enough.

We met Frank today, and he’s just as kind as we remembered. You can tell he’s truly passionate about his business, and his team is just as friendly and professional as they were years ago.

We sampled the food again, and it’s still just as delicious as ever. To the reviewer complaining about prices—come on! The amount and quality of food you get here is unmatched. Compare it to other caterers and you’ll see the value at Bassett is incredible.

It is chock full of yummy surprises, all arranged beautifully, in perfect condition. There was such a generous amount of food, they could make a meal and still graze after. The meat, cheese, fruit, nuts & dried fruit were premium quality & we’re told, very delicious. It arrived in a cute huge box, with flowers & a honey dipper tied into the colorful wrapping twine. “Zoe Deleu is a flavor magician, kitchen wizard, and an overall absolute queen. I had the absolute pleasure of having her cater our reception at Housing Works Bookstore. Fair warning - this will not be a review per se, but a love letter to Zoe and her works of umami art! So typically a bride does not want to be upstaged at her wedding, but let me tell you, the food was the star and I was NOT mad about it. I think almost every one of our 135 attendees came up to us to tell us that the food was amazing and hands down “the best food [they] have ever had at a wedding in [their] lives.” This was coming from people who are absolutely not chicken and rice people — but from people who live and eat in major cities all over the world with sophisticated palates and are VERY VERY critical about their food. I heard nothing but good things (trust me I would have heard about it if they had any criticism). Additionally, Zoe’s plating is divine, the service of her staff is impeccable and I don’t have a single point of need for development feedback. If we wanted a mix of flavors (like black sesame and green tea tarts for dessert), Zoe can accommodate that. A cajillion different allergies? Zoe can handle it. Have no idea what you want? Zoe will gently guide you towards particular choices that fit your menu and guest needs. I told you, this is a love letter, not a review. However, I think my absolute favorite part about Zoe is that she is humble, kind and treats her staff with the utmost respect. She is a lovely person who loves her craft and the craft loves her back. “Chef Matthew set up an amazing space, with amazing food, and amazing service. I contacted him about a private dinner with my family for my wife's birthday. I expressed to him my desire to make a special evening for her, but taking into consideration that COVID is still an issue, and that we wanted to keep away from other people as much as possible. He provided me with a menu that had multiple options that all fell within the requirements I provided. It was extremely difficult to narrow down the choices because EVERYTHING on the menu sounded AMAZING! He listened to everything I said, and absolutely knocked it out of the park! Everything Chef Matthew made for us was so delicious... there were NO leftovers, at all.The space is absolutely beautiful. The dining area looked amazing. There's a comfortable lounge area at the rear of the loft where my family and I were able to relax prior to dinner being served. Just as a point of information, the space is so beautiful, that we were able to have a photographer come for a photoshoot with my family throughout the space.All in all, we had a wonderful experience. One that none of us, especially my wife, will soon forget. I highly recommend Chef Matthew and Boutique BK. You will not be disappointed.“
