“I was craving some kimchi stew and just happened to find this place and wanted to check it out. The banchan is so delicious especially the kimchi — my friend and i got 5 servings of it!! This place has the best kimchi i’ve had at a restaurant so far and the kimchi pork stew is delicious as well. The atmosphere is really nice as well, perfect for a date or just a nice hangout!“

“Not too crowded for a weekday lunch. Korean manager was very friendly and thoughtful.

Beef tartare bibimbap - great flavor. Meat was very tender and marinated well with hints of sesame oil. The bibimbap sauce went well with the tartare.

La galbi - meat was tender and the marinade was delicious.

Salad sauce was amazing. Had bits of ginger and sweet sauce in it which was pretty unique. The salad vegetables were also fresh and crunchy.

Banchan was adequate - picked cucumber, tofu and fish tofu.

Soup was spicy and washed everything down well.

Ambience was interesting with neon pink lights and the latest k-pop hits. Prices were stellar for the lunch set and good value for money.“

“Great spot for pork kbbq in the city! We came in Monday night with a reservation for three and got the tasting menu with a bottle of the chestnut makgeolli (which was delicious). The tasting menu was great value and I appreciated that the servers helped to cook, though they weren’t the most attentive. (For instance, we had to ask for a bib as well as refills for water and lettuce.) Meanwhile, the pork was great - especially the dry aged versions - as were the egg soufflé and kimchi soup. Also, special mention to having wasabi on the plate as a dipping option! Would definitely stop in again.“

“So much meat but so good. Comforting korean establishment with premium meat. Its best to go with a group to help eat the glutinous meal you are about to endure. We also got the egg souffle as a side dish and it was the most fluffiest eggs I've ever had.“

“I loved our time here! The meat was so flavorful and there were lots of good options. Lots of good sides like cheesy corn and kimchi. They are very serious about the time limit and they will enforce it. You get a “last call” which is very nice. The staff cooks it for you most of the time as opposed to you doing it yourself which was new for us, but appreciated. The music in there was not too loud and it was all very good. You need to order atleast 2 orders of meats in order to cook at your table. Great restaurant highly recommended. Tables hold up to six people. Drinks are good here. The short rib soup with glass noodles is delicious.

“I was here on several occassions, especially with my best guyfriend and best ladyfriend's birthdays. Love the K-Pop music on display, and the waiters/waitresses are excellent for their presentation and service.“

“I have been going to this spot for years. The old couple who used to own the place sold it, and currently in the hands of new owners. Great food, great vibes, reasonable prices. Wait staff is great, especially the petite Hispanic lady very attentive and generous with portions. My go to spot when I'm craving for some Pork belly bbq. 100% recommend.
Not kid friendly though, young kids / toddlers can easily burn themselves in the hot plate in the middle of the table.“

“I am very familiar with the korean restaurants in the flushing area and not sure how I missed this place but have to say the food was AMAZING. Everything from the banchan (side dishes) to the meat marinade quality was excellent! Jeolla flavors came on strong (known for their deliciousness). Definitely a hidden gem! Also, recommend their dakdoritang. Probably top 3 I’ve ever had in my life. And definitely ask them to do the finisher with rice at the end for this.“

“Been here a few times, the first time being over a year ago. Arguably, my first time here was excellent: food was tasty, service was good and they took care of my small group at the time. Over the next few visits, however, the meats didn't taste as good (later learned they changed the sauce) and service wasn't that great either. I heard the management changed a few months back and came here with my family again (for mother's Day). The food was good, though how the meat gets cooked totally depends on the staff. Side dishes are on the traditional side but I found them to be tasty.
The service can be a bit slow, especially when they're busy and you do need to ask for things here and there instead of the staff being super proactive about taking care of you (like asking for water). Personally, as long as the food is tasty, lower levels of service don't bother me that much. My mom enjoys eating here so I'll come back for sure, probably on a less busy day too. I could see this place being a bit difficult for non-korean parties eating here though but the staff does speak some English so it's not like you can't get by.“

“This was one of my favorite Korean restaurants 10 years ago when I lived in the area. My grandfather used to always say that this restaurant reminded him of his hometown. Came back yesterday and it did not disappoint. Extremely friendly staff and the flavors are so authentic. My wife was so impressed and we had such a great experience. I highly recommend this place 🙂

For the folks complaining that you need to order at least two meats - it's because it takes extra effort for a waiter to serve, clean the grill, and bring out the banchans. Absolutely worth it though.“

Good
The food is nice, meat is fresh and not too strong. The soup and banchan all have authentic korean taste
They offer free refill banchan and rice so its nice and filling enough if you are heavy eater. All side dishes are not bad so why not?
The servers are nicely taken care of us, help us with grilling, and also always update with us about the meat and everything.
Bad
The staff tried to upsell us the more expensive combo but we didn’t really need it. Have to verbally decline twice is kinda awkward.
The price is high for sure, but you can’t ask cheaper for such performance - because they truly invested in the food and services. Just say that its not for every day visit for low income .

Just visit here for special occasion, when you want to be treated nicely and eat good food. I hope the business will be there always.“

“They serve a wide variety of side dishes, about a dozen in total, and almost all taste pretty good. An aunty will help grill the meat, though when it’s busy she might not be able to keep up. The grill runs quiet hot so can enjoy the meat quickly. I highly recommend the G3, the meat is wonderfully tender. Surprisingly, the yukgaejang is reall spicy yet tasty, but if can’t handle spice it’s better to skip it.“

“After Halloween, my friends and I went to NEW YORK K-BBQ and it was a blast! Cooking the food ourselves made the experience fun and I had an amazing time with my friends. The staff were amazingly very welcoming, great service changing the grill every 10-15 minutes to keep our grill clean. For $30 per person it’s a bit pricey, however we had 90 minutes to enjoy our food. I just wished the buffet had more variety, but dude, every bite of the food we cooked was like an explosion in our mouths. Great energy inside the buffet, service was great and overall, it was a night full of laughs and delicious food.“
