“Food is good but they raised their prices and it's only worthwhile if you can get them to actually bring the dishes you order. Sometimes we have difficulty getting orders in even when they're not that busy. Still, very solid place.“
“my favorite place to eat. i eat here multiple times a week the food is so good. my gameplan is always start off with a fatty cut of meat like pork jowl or thin brisket and ask for lots of onion, liberally salt the meat and onion and let all the fat render and rub the onion and meat across the pan to get the flavor all over. all your meat afterwards will have an amazing flavor“
“Came here with my family for the first time, and we were not disappointed. My family and I were very skeptical of this place because of the mixed reviews but this place is definitely worth a shot.Let me start off with the service. The service was probably one of the best service I’ve ever received dining in a restaurant. They’re quick to take your order, food comes out relatively fast, and they are very kind. Constantly asking if we need refills on the side dishes, sauces and beverages was a very good gesture. The meat was all very flavorful and tasty.I can see why some of the meat can come off as bland or “flavorless” but that’s why the sauces come into play.I’ve never tried anything like soy mayo in my life and that sauce was a really big boost in flavor. All the side dishes were also very flavorful as well and my whole family loved it.The atmosphere was also very welcoming with a diverse set of music playing in the background. Ranging from Korean pop all the way to American hip-hop.Definitely will come back and also is worth a try!“
“Yesterday my cousin and I visited this KBBQ restaurant. It was my first experience being able to seriously indulge in Korean BBQ food, and I enjoyed it completely.Mind you, we are black and I was a bit weary on how we would be treated at the establishment. However, everyone working there was super respectful, and boy do they give you a lot of food! Absolutely loved our main two waitresses, wish I knew their names. They did a great job of helping me understand why I was eating as I was curious on the names and type of dishes presented before me. Will definitely be back and I absolutely recommend. ??“
“This restaurant was seriously fantastic! The marinated chicken? Absolutely mouthwatering. And let me tell you, the kalbi marinated steak? It was beyond flavorful and savory, words just don't do it justice. But what really impressed me was how clean the place was, and the staff? They were incredibly friendly and attentive. And with the all-you-can-eat deal, you definitely feel like you're getting your money's worth.“
“Good food, but pricier for portions. They do have a good assortment of banchan, which is unlimited. Wish they didn't serve hot tea in plastic water cups! They should at least be in cups made for tea and not soda - you can see the cracks in the plastic cups. Not a big deal if you don't drink the tea anyway. No frills service - eat and get out sort of place - almost always open!“
“Inflation must have bypassed this restaurant. The price was a steal for sure, especially for pork belly. Meats were of high quality. I was surprised to come across pork rinds on the menu. My favorite was the pork jowl. Mmmmm delicious! No complaints on the service. It was pretty clean inside; no sticky tables, etc. You have to finish the meal with some fried rice! Watch how the server mixes on my video. For add-ons, they charge $1- $1.99 (eggs, spam, cheese and so forth). Will definitely be back when I’m around.“
“I don't think I have ever enjoyed eating intestines more. While I have ordered intestines from other Korean BBQ places. This is the first that I have been to that specializes in it.If you are hesitant about internal organs or just grossed out by it. They do have other meat options available to you, i.e beef and pork. But I firmly believe you are doing yourself an injustice if you don't at least give the intestines a try. They are especially good if you let them crisp up a bit more on the grill. They also make a fried rice for you upon request on your grill that the intestines are served on. I do recommend it if you have the stomach space for it. The fired rice pictured is a serving for 3.My only gripe about this place is the table space. The tables are incredibly small. This becomes apparent when you order more dishes outside of the grill.“
“This place has changed a lot since I last came here. Looks like the place was renovated with a clean look and an open concept. I'm glad to see that they still offer valet parking but I haven't had any issues the last two times I came here. Things we ordered: 1. galbi - I did not have but it was liked on the table. 2. samgyupsal - I did not have but it was liked on the table. 3. fried mackerel - a large portion and grilled maybe slightly over. But I did not mind it. 4. soonduboo jigae - I actually liked it here. Pretty flavorful. 5. duboo kimchi - I did not have but every liked it. Has some duk into too. 6. bibim naengmyun - disappointing as it had no flavor and noodles were overcooked. Banchan here was overall good but not the best that I've had. The first time we came they gave us free spicy gejang which was nice. I think the real knock here is the service. They often miss and forget things that you ask for. We had to flag them a few times. Overall, I'd go back and would recommend.“
“My friends and I enjoyed our dinner at Iron Age Korean bbq in Queens this evening. The food was not bad but it could be better. What made this place stand out from most restaurants was their service. Our server, Maria (Crew #26), was the best. She was so gracious and attentive. The next time we go back to Iron Age, we will make a request to have Maria as our server. If you really want a great dinner experience I suggest you do the same. Thank you Maria for making our evening so much more fun!!“
“Really good KBBQ place. Meat cuts are high quality and very delicious. Marinated Beef Rib is my favorite item (only on the dinner menu). I would be wary about the intestines at this location. I have had it one time and it was fine but another time the intestines just kind of fell apart on the grill and would rip and tear. Soybean paste stew and egg custard are very delicious, highly recommended. Servers are very attentive and fast in getting you the items that you order. They keep you filled up on water and change out the grill often so you aren't eating burned remnants.“
“This is a classic korean restaurant with good banchan and decent food at an average price.I had kbbq (bulgogi + marinated pork) here recently, it's fine. Nothing to sing amazing or terrible things about. For kbbq you get steamed egg, lettuce and about 8 different banchans. As a banchan lover, they have variation, it changes often and is fresh.Their table d'hote / mains are my favorite. I usually come here for a stew or grilled fish. Banchan for just mains are on par with kbbq minus the sauces, steam egg, lettuce and herbs that accompany it.This is a place I go back for having a good meal where I am not shelling a ton of money. Included current menu prices (March 2024) below:“

“I came to Kum Sung BBQ because I wanted to try Korean style raw marinated crabs for the first time. My friend convinced me to order the Naengmyun + LA Galbi combo as well because she said the restaurant is known for their cold noodles. She ordered the Sunji Haejang Guk because she likes hot soups mixed with rice. The blue crabs tasted fresh, so it paired nicely with the rice, but due to the soy sauce marinate it was definitely on the salty side. The Naengmyun was super chewy and the broth was a mixture of sweet, tangy, savory. Delicious! I was given vinegar and Korean mustard on the side to add to my liking. My friend said the Sunji Haejang Guk (ox blood with pieces of beer and vegetables in beef broth) was light and she liked how they provide spice on the side so customers can adjust per preference.Other than the dishes we ordered, we were provided with an abundance of bonchon (side dishes). I enjoyed the variety and how traditional the side dishes are (as opposed to just kimchi or picked radish that more modern Korean places give). This is more of a traditional Korean restaurant and the staff was very nice. My friend spoke Korean to the staff, but they made sure to explain and made me feel included. Haha.“
“I can’t describe how amazing the food and staff were ! The person who I believe was the manager was very attentive and mad us laugh so much. The person who was cooking our meat tonight was also super friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to all of my friends. Thank you so much SSAM TONG !!!!“
