New Pacific Palace Reviews
We took our class here for Chinese new year. We expected the same show as always. I called to confirm that the dragon show was on for our trip. I was told it was. We got charged more for less. Lied to! I confirmed this with the other school that is here and they were told the same. So upset!

New Pacific Palace is located upstairs from a Chase bank, inside a building on the second floor. It has been a favorite spot since the 80s, when it used to be downstairs. The place is a typical big banquet hall-style set-up with ladies walking around the floor with carts. The environment is good, but some reviews note the attitude of the waiters is very bad and they do not understand how to respect the elderly. However, other reviews say the staff is very friendly and quick, and the service was good. The food is a mix. The stir fried snails are a bit salty but delicious. The shrimp dishes are good because the shrimp is so soft. The chicken feet are amazing, and the rice stuffed in leaves is a favorite. The steamed sticky rice in those lotus leaf is pretty good. The lobster fried rice, Fujian pork ribs with taro, calamari, and Hou Mian (fat noodles) met Cantonese standard. The salted fish with eggplant and chicken casserole, beef chow fun, and bean curd with mushroom were mostly pretty tasty. However, the daikon cake, sesame balls, and rice paper rolls were disappointing. The Chrysanthemum tea was really good. Overall, most items were tasty, but the price is a bit steep.
