“This is not ordinary Chinese-restaurant food; the dishes are sophisticated and delicious. Great combinations, spices, vegetables. Okra crunchy outside, soft inside. Eggplant hot and peppery, cold chicken chopped with bones in. Never had Szechuan like this. We try to go as often as we can.“

“Dongpo pork is a must try, it is melt in your mouth! Live music, lively atmosphere and good service. My favorited though was the cucumber salad, so simple yet so refreshing and savory at the same time. Definitely recommend, high quality Asian food.“

“Everytime I visit NYC’s 8th Avenue there’s going to be a day where my family and I will dine out at this place. It’s so delicious, my personal favorites are the Spicy Bullfrog and Beef Skewers. The servers are also always courteous and fast from our experience. We highly recommend this spot 👍.“

“One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. My wife and I shared scallion pancakes, fried pork dumplings, and the Basil Beef Ho Fun. Incredible food all around, and the owner/chef is a wonderfully sweet woman. Oh and the lemonade is fantastic.“

“This place has almost everything I want in a Chinese restaurant. Thoughtful, authentic and elevated food with very reasonable prices. Elegant atmosphere. Lovely servers who give great recommendations.
The jellyfish ceviche was the most bold dish on the menu and it was incredible. The fried chicken (app) reminded me of home but the hot honey paid homage to the neighborhood Greenpoint. It was so juicy and might be my favorite fried chicken in NYC. The peppercorn icecream is fun and mapo tofu hits the spot.
Only thing is I wish there's cocktails ☺️.
Had an unexpectedly meaningful meal and I wish there are more places like Chiko!“

“Whole fish with your choice of add in simmering in a spicy broth... So good! The Chongqing chicken is yummy as well.
They play some good Chinese slow jams. I don't understand but it is pleasant.
Bathroom could use better cleaning though“

“Only one chef on the line. Very kind, but was scolded for "you have to call in first". Otherwise a great corner Chinese spot.
Vegetarian options: Yes, ask.
Kid-friendliness: There's a kid running around the restaurant all the time.
Dietary restrictions: Just ask“

“It’s a hole in the wall Chinese place with great prices and great food. The A + B special is borderline customer robbery and the women behind the counter is a always friendly if you are. I visit here 1-2 times per week and will continue doing so.“

“I rarely write reviews unless the staff is truly impeccable, and Bobo was the best! She was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating. She made our experience exceptional. To the owner: Bobo truly deserves a bonus for her outstanding service! + best Dan Dan noodles I’ve had ❤️“

“Came here for my anniversary dinner and was blown away by Breeze (pun intended). Easily some of, if not the best Sichuan food we’ve ever had. I got the Winter Frost #2 cocktail and I wasn’t sure what type of flavor I was expecting but it didn’t taste like what I expected in a good way! The cocktail had a mildly sweet, light but depth in flavor profile.
The ginger sauce green beans were some of the best green beans I’ve ever tasted. The sauce they used was addicting. Second favorite item was the diced chicken with chili pepper, which was super spicy but absolutely delicious. But to be honest all of the dishes were home runs! I was just here last night and I’m already daydreaming about coming back to try more dishes.
Also the service was exceptional. The restaurant was full and there were only two guys to cover the front of the house (the hostess, waiter, bartender, and bus boy). They definitely had their hand fulls but still were efficient. Since it was our anniversary dinner they ended up surprising us with a pumpkin rice cake dessert on the house which we thought was the sweetest gesture. I couldn’t have been happier since I absolutely love rice cakes 😋“
