“I went in wanting to hate on the place, being that it looks so new and bougie. I thought it was an Americanized place with high prices…. I had the fish taco, birria taco, esquites and birria soup (consome) with a tamarind water. I spent around $35 bucks - and after eating, I was sad to admit I LOVED everything about this restaurant. The tacos came out and the tortillas smelled like a tortilleria in Cuernavaca Mexico. Freshly made and I would assume made in house. I complimented the staff, tipped accordingly and brought my girl in to try it shortly after my first visit - & she agrees! (Ps:we’re both Mexican) sooo lo and behold we have our new favorite Mexican spot in the neighborhood. You have to try it! I’ve only gone in person, never delivery- love the freshness! Actually writing this review while heading in for another round.

Update: Pictures added from my latest meal. The torta is fiiiiire the bread is so spongey. And the pozole is incredible also! Lord have mercy ima have to run down the whole menu 😍🥲“

“Tacos Comal is following what every taco spot in Ny is trying to do; and that is to mimic the ever popular Tijuana style taco of course originating from its name sake and an ever popular option in California. And just like these taqueria in NY that try to mimic the look is there but the flavor cannot seem to get it right. These tacos are 3.5, although I cannot give it in my review it’s not deserving a 4 but mediocre is not by any measure and definitely does not deserve a 3. It falls in a 3.5 category. It’s not that the flavor is bad, it’s more that I don’t taste the authenticity. The salsas were weak and the biggest saving grace of this taco spot is its tortillas, which are definitely delicious.

If you’re looking for a good New York taco this is your spot! If you’re looking for an authentic Mexico or California taco they are to be found elsewhere.“

“Let me emphasize this, NOBODY and I do mean NOBODY, makes a delicious bowl the way Tacobees do. I live far and order with extra charges through Ubereats because it’s just that good and worth every penny. I get burritos the size of a tiny baby. I should know because I’ve had tiny humans before and those burritos are at least 2lbs or more lol.

The way the burritos and bowls are made, is just so good. They don’t skimp out on anything. It’ll be full to the absolute brim. Their queso and guac is hands down the best out of all other chains (Chipotle, Moe’s and Qdoba.) The steak and honey chicken is just chefs kiss. I love how my delivery is also always warm and the most important part, correct. They just get me and can take my check any weekend!“

“I must say that this place surprised me (in a good way). It didn't look like it was anything to write home about but the service was great. During these cold days the bartender offered me one of their special drinks and it was so nice to drink a warm whisky cocktail.

Now, tacos. They are really really really good. I had carnitas and chorizo and would recommend both. No need to go all the way down to Bushwick imo.

“We've had about 6 or 7 take away orders from Fulton over a period of maybe 3 months. The food has always been spot on for us, in particular the chicken burgers and tenders. The service has always been timely, efficient and friendly. We'll keep coming back. Fully recommended“

“Best birria tacos out there. Amazing consome. Two tacos each and we split a (large?) consome. Reasonably priced - I can’t imagine much else in the area is as affordable. Took about 20 mins after ordering, but we didn’t mind. The guys working the line were putting in overtime. Take out orders continuously pumped out to a never ending revolving door of doordashers. Pretty loud and chaotic but that was part of the fun of it. A few small tables and a small bar-style counter to sit at. Looked like a small market in the store as well. 10/10“

On par with the best tacos I've had in Southern California. And the value for the amount of food you get can't be beat in New York.“

Perfect balance of beans, rice, guac, and protein. my husband eats meat but I am vegan and they even have a tofu burrito for vegan protein! They marinated and cooked the tofu so good, you never see this at Mexican or Latin restaurants! We placed an order without cheese for both of us and I forgot the guac and I was so upset so I called them even after placing and paying for the order and asked for guac and the guy was SO NICE, he added the guac to my burrito FREE OF CHARGE!! These people really cater to customer service. Our burritos were fantastic and the service was fast and on point/ they didn’t miss any items we added to the order, now that’s good service!“

They accept cash, card and Zelle.
Ordered 2 tortas; Norteña and campechana. Both were very filling and delicious. I was scared that they would be skinny tortas but they had a good amount of ingredients inside.
We ordered 2 tacos Al pastor the meat was decent the tortillas were thicker than what I’m used to but overall pretty good.
I would come and order again and I’d love to try their breakfast!“
