“I had been to the Rooster many times for beers with friends. Always friendly bartenders, cold beer and cool atmosphere. This past weekend was my first visit here strictly for dinner (of course I had a few adult cocktails as well). With our 8 year old son in tow, we stopped in on a Thursday night around 6pm. There is a family friendly dining area as you come in the door and we were greeted and seated right away. Waitress grabbed our drink order as our son was given crayons and a kids menu. A few other families were there with their kids and numerous crayon drawings adorning the walls reassured us that this was a family restaurant. Nice menu with good variety of pub grub. It was wing night so "When in Rome". There was an all you can eat offering but neither of us had that kind of appetite so we opted for an order of boneless wings each. I got the Nashville hot and she got the Hot Buffalo. The portions were large and the sauces were great. The Nashville is a bit on the tamer side of hot and the hot buffalo was both hot and tasty. Definitely get the wings. We also got an order of the Rooster Balls. For the record, these are not actually the balls of a rooster. Chunks of white chicken wrapped in bacon and cheese and fried served with a remoulade side sauce. I'm drooling as I type that. Our son got the adult version of the chicken tenders with fries on the side. He seemed to enjoy the tenders but the fries were the star of the night. We basically cleaned his plate for him as they were cut and cooked perfectly. To summarize, great for drinks and great for a family night out. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and delicious grub. Plenty of parking, not far off the highway. And as my son would say "free wifi!". We will be back often.“
“So I was on Warren street in downtown Hudson and googled the best pancakes and ended up finding Lindsay’s the food was definitely worth the drive but the service was incredible! The waitress was so happy, kind, and attentive. Not to mention the prices are great, so you can sample a few different options and not break the bank! This place is GEM! Thank you Athena for a wonderful experience!“
“Can't speak about the beer, but the cranberry spritz and cranberry mule were delicious! Overall, I was happy with our food. I just wish the service was a bit faster but looked like they were short staffed. Regardless, I'd return.“
“My first time in the Catskills. Take it with a grain of salt but I’ve traveled all over the United States, and I simply love this place. I’ll be back as soon as the schedule allows it. Great service, beverages and food. Murphy’s Law Rocks ?“
“Nice spot in small town Leeds NY to hang out play pool there used to be as swimming spot in back I think closed down but the drinks and food slamming big time right down the road from the thru wayFood & drinks: Love it so many options good and drinks worth it you will enjoy it“
“Only GREAT things to say about this establishment. Server was exceptional, energetic, and knew what she was talking about. All modifications to menu items were accommodated. Best of all - The live band on Saturday night was a blast to listen to and hang out by. We will be coming here every time for our annual ski trip.“
“What a vibe. We came in the winter and felt soooo cozy! The food, cocktails and wine were excellent! I am so pleased with our meal.Service is relaxed, no kids menu.Kid-friendliness: No kids menu, current menu has a real adult focus. However, there was lots of things to look at and explore, so my kids had a good time.“
“I had lunch from here today for the forst time. I had the loco wrap. It was amazing! Steak, melted cheese, salsa, sour cream, lettuce, tomato. Best wrap I have had and served with a bunch of fresh french fries! I will be back and you should go.too!“
“Great food and atmosphere. Hollowbrook has a very nice wrap around porch that looks over 32. I have had multiple dinners here and the ambiance is always great when have a nice meal with some red wine. Definitely a go to spot for the area. Also the staff are very friendly.“
“John & Sara Smith are the perfect team to plan your next event. Their expertise made the entire process effortless and the end result was nothing short of exceptional. The ambiance was simply gorgeous and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to throw an unforgettable party.“
“In love. Everything is house made and fresh! Service is always a problem lately but they seem to have it down here at Gracie's! Everyone is friendly and helpful. Prices are higher but that's the price you pay for fresh, house made quality food. Definitely recommend!!“
“I work for the owner in his other business where he has a daycare for the elderly people and he also offers home healthcare services. I also rent from him-• MY OPINIONS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH MY PERSONAL LIFE- ITS ALL MY TRUTH AND MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES •I came in for a job from someone who knows the owner Vitaliy- she lived in one of his apartments years ago and was telling me about how great of a person he is and how he has a few gigs and I’d enjoy working for him. So I went and filled an application out for the Home Health Care Aide and I did my interviews and met with the manager Brooke and started not to soon after- one of the best decisions I’ve ever made was going in and filling the application out - Vitaliy and his managers Brooke and Julie are all the best people to work for! They actually acknowledged me not even a month into working for him about how good I’m doing - that meant everything to me, the fact that they pay attention and care about their employees and clients and also customers is a beautiful rare thing. The restaurant is a very homey place. I’m new and my husband is a veteran and he has a hard time being around people and even he loves it. My kids love going to play ping pong while the adults play pool and listen to music. It’s just an amazing atmosphere with people who make you feel like your family. My family lost everything to hurricane Ian in Florida and had to move back and the employees AND THE CUSTOMERS ( I’m telling you once you meet them and they like you and you them it’s a family - they look out for each other!! ) all rallied up to make sure we have what we needed for our apartment.I am a very outspoken, outgoing, blunt, rare individual and I’m very opinionated- I would not lie to anyone about anything- but I PROMISE you that you will love the Bar/Restaurant and everyone inside it.Thank You to everyone for making us feel welcomed! It means so much to us.You guys rock!“
“Thoroughly enjoyed an excellent evening after walking in without reservations and sat at the bar during restaurant week and was met by a friendly and attentive staff. Presented with a menu that had a plethora of different and varied options including chicken, pasta, beef, etc. & I can only say that I could have ordered any item without hesitation merely from the description offered. The first course consisted of choosing soup or salad and I chose Cesaer salad while my company chose soup that must have been phenomenal for he put his spoon down and drank directly from the bowl. For the second course I went with the tortellini while my friend had the beef. Both were worth the trip. The bartender offered light and amusing banter and the whole staff made us feel as if we had known them and been patronising their fine dining establishment for years. Dessert came and I had the peach sorbet while my friend enjoyed the tira misu to compliment a perfect dining experience that was as impromptu and spontaneous as one could have. I highly recommend this fine establishment to all that may embark upon this delicious journey… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“I just moved to Catskill; a mile up the road from this fine establishment. After unpacking, my friend and I stopped into Mike's Diner and my initial experience was a feeling of comfort. The rustic atmosphere gave me a sense of warmth and nostalgia. People at the barstool countertop were eating breakfast; conversating amongst themselves while the families and friends at the tables joyfuly did the same. The smell of fresh coffee, eggs, bacon, ect, felt like I was truly home.Much respect to the cook; the food was absolutely AMAZING. The waitresses as well. They were very kind, professional and persistent in providing the best service they could, which was more than enough.ALSO, Mike's prices are VERY reasonable and affordable to treat the family. I'll be frequenting Mike's now that I'm aware of how great it is.****I RECOMMEND THE BISCUITS AND GRAVY. THEY'RE SOOOOO GOOD...THEY REMIND ME OF MY ARMY DAYS BACK IN FT POLK LOUISIANA*****“
“Was staying in Cairo at the Catskills Getaway cabins, and got in after dark the first night. Didn't feel like cooking, so we found this unexpected gem along the Catskill Creek. There was only another party of 3 at the bar at the time, however the bartender quickly warmed up to us and had great conversation throughout. We started with the DJ Shrimp. Delicious, just the right bit of kick (spice heat). Then we had Chicken Milanese, and a rotating seasonal pasta called Tuscan Sausage Fusilli with EVOO, spinach and sun dried tomatoes, with a Side of focaccia bread. All were delicious, and very filling. Everything was perfect for a Birthday dinner. The liquor drinks were kind of pricey, but I should have expected that for a double Bulleit I suppose. All in all, absolutely try this gem if you come across it, you will not be disappointed for quality and ambiance.“
“Great service, great fried chicken. I ordered a martini from the bar and it was warm and a "half pour". I brought it to the bartender and she argued with me over the recipe for a martini. Why would she do that? I walked away. The manager was outstanding and made me a wonderful drink. Food, 4 stars, bartender, a zero. Sorry, not sorry .“
“Rating based on dinner only. So far this is the best meal I’ve had on the mountain. We started with the mussels, had a Caesar salad and the salmon as our main. The appetizer and salad were both larger than expected. Salmon was cooked perfectly. The dining room was so cozy next to the fireplace. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.“
“The breads, the croissant loaf, the pastries, the gourmet sandwiches and products, the breakfasts/meals, the kind help, the consistent and reasonable hours......it just doesn't get any better than this! Just what this dreary town needed!“
