Fluffing Feathers and Flour Bake Shop Bakery •
9 S Main St, Manchester - 6.2 miles

“I would describe Fluffing Feathers & Flour as a hidden gem in Manchester, NY. I first discovered this bake shop last year when I had a doctor's appointment in the area. Stopped in for a post appointment treat and have visited regularly ever since. The shop is cozy and has a small seating area if you wish to eat in. The assortment of items available is large; breads, cookies, cheesecakes, croissants, cinnamon buns, cupcakes, cake pops, muffins, swiss rolls, and more! The staff are very kind and attentive. There are so many delicious baked goods that catch your attention and this often leads me to questions. They are always helpful and happy to tell me about the current selection. The prices are wonderful! I love their cheesecakes slices. They are huge and less than $5 dollars a slice. On our most recent visit we got something for each member of our family of 5 and it cost less than $10 dollars! I love that we have a local bakery so close to home with fresh, delicious, and affordable baked goods.“

“Love this local bakery! Nice find while visiting the area. The pastry in the photo was one of the best bakery items I have had in awhile, so fresh, the puff pastry was perfect and the fillings were delicious! Friendly staff. I wish I was closer!“

Bright Side Sweets Bakery • $
23A E Main St, Victor

“I live with a family member with celiac‘s disease while I am not. The baked goods at Bright Side Sweets are so good I can’t tell they are gluten-free, and that says a lot! A lot of GF baked goods are dry with a gritty texture. So nice to eat an apple cider doughnut that remained soft and delicious to the last bite! The frosted sugar cookies are so festive with the varied sport and holiday themes. Can’t believe everything in the bakery is gluten free but it is. I have to add that the owner went above and beyond for me when my car wouldn’t start and was unable to pick up my order. She offered to drive my order to my town as was going to be in the area.I didn’t have a big order so the fact that I was given exceptional customer service was even that more impressive. We have a gem in this all GF bakery. My only hope is that they increase the number of days open. Can’t wait to order pies for the holiday!“

“Stopped in for lunch and enjoyed my salad. Ordered the chefs salad and wheat bread. The homemade bread was delicious. The salad and balsamic was tasty. Very friendly staff. So happy to see the small business being so busy on a Thursday afternoon. I didn’t try the desserts but they looked divine.“

Rainbow M&M Cookie

“Pastel has been the best addition to the sleepy town of Victor thus far! As an elegant cookie cafe that specializes in small batches and super high quality stuff, the place is a much needed addition to the town. It's probably the most vibrant addition to Main Street, especially amongst the basic so-so eateries that have already been there. Pastel is more than a cafe---- it's a destination!I always buy my party trays here because there's about 12 different flavors of cookies and desserts to always pick from at any time. You can even see the pastry and cookie chefs mixing and baking in the back of the kitchen, which guarantees me the high quality cookies that Pastel is known for.Of note to all the whiners out there, me being someone who has spent a good amount of money at Pastel and love to support small businesses, some of these negative reviews are overly dramatic. I can hear the whining through my screen! lol!I'm reading other people's reviews, and my my my. . . some of those people sound like they want to complain just to complain! Looks like one guy who posted yesterday and gave them 2 stars was complaining about the cafe being closed the first week of the new year. Well, even if the posted google hours were not updated, which is super common especially with small businesses, even more so in a sleepy slow town like Victor, at least this shop DEFINITELY posted their winter hours on Facebook and Instagram a handful of times. So if you've got time to write a poor review against a small business, a new business that is very much a fabulous addition to the town of Victor, then you definitely have the time to look at the business's Facebook or Instagram page like any normal person to check their hours and stay up to date. You know what? If I could give Pastel 10 stars, I would. Anyway, take a look at the ice cream I got from them recently. They source it from a creamery out of Maine called Giffords. And it is by far the most amazing Ice Cream I have had since moving to Victor. Forget all the other ice cream shops on the street, whose ice cream is gummy and cheap tasting. Pastel's ice cream by Giffords is outstanding, high quality, and simply delicious, just like their cookies. Also pictured is my catered tray of cookies I ordered for my office Christmas party. The cookies were a big delicious hit!!!Dietary restrictions: The shop has many flour-free options and have plenty of choices for even the pickiest eaters.Parking: Huge parking in the rear of the building. Perfect for inviting many friends to Pastel since they can all park their cars comfortably.Kid-friendliness: Pastel is perfect for kids and those who are still kids at heart! There are so many cookie flavors, dessert options, and ice creams to choose from. And the decor and ambiance of the place is fancy, but calming and relaxing . . it makes you want to sit and enjoy your sweets for hours on end!“
