“My experience at Allegria Ristorante involved attentive, courteous and friendly waitstaff, a clean and well designed environment, and food that was superb. My friend and I both had the minestrone soup and the fennel salad with shrimp, expertly prepared and perfectly seasoned. Capping off our experience, our reservation was intentionally set for 6:30 PM - in August 2024, Saturday dnnertime entertainment is jazz standards in chord melody form expertly played by Raphael Silverman on a gorgeous Gibson Johnny Smith archtop guitar through a Henrikson Bud Six amp. Nice clean tone comes through very well in this setting .“

“The value was good since it was during restaurant week. We got seated quickly so that was nice but the time it took for someone to come to us, to ask what we wanted to drink, to get the drink etc etc was abnormally long for it not being that busy. The appetizer (ahi tuna) was very good! I highly recommend that! My biggest disappointment, ironically being a steakhouse, was the steak! Two orders were medium rare and it came out more rare but it was fine for us... my boyfriend ordered his medium well (shocking since he normally orders it well) got it so rare it was practically black and blue. He was embarrassed to say anything (he totally should've ) but for a steakhouse I was shocked how drastically off the steak temp was done. As far an ambience goes it was clean and very old school elegant as opposed to Morton's that's classy but way more modern.“

“Bife a Portuguesa and shrimp in garlic were excellent, as was the bread (from a Portuguese bakery in NJ). Who knew there was good Portuguese food so much closer than the Ironbound? Service was solid and friendly. You can eat at the bar and a few tables in the front, which I recommend doing, as the back room is a bit claustrophobic. They really need to update the prices on their menu in Google Maps, however, as they have doubled.“

“Dining at Moli is always an incredible experience! It is my favorite restaurant and I love bringing guests here. Every time I walk in, I'm in awe of the gorgeous bar and chandelier. The ambiance is great, crowded but never too noisy. Food is consistently excellent. We are big fans of the appetizers and the fried rice dishes. Great place for lunch, cocktails, and special occasions.“

The rustic meets the cosmopolitan inside and the food is just as good as the best Italian restaurants in the NYC Metropolitan Area... I love the old world of this place. The wait staff was insanely friendly and attentive. The food was out of this world. I tell everyone about this place if I get the chance. “No complaints about this place. As with other reviews I leave. I'd have liked to leave a 4.5 star or even 4.6 or 7 but google does not allow that so it's 4 or 5 and 5 imo should only be for the truly special places. This place is great though and I highly recommend it.

I used to live in Ohio where there a number of really amazing steak places, some are nationally ranked by various food magazines. Not saying Ohio has the best and there are numerous great steak places all over the midwest, but generally in the northeast, I've largely been disappointed and tend to avoid steak when eating out around here. Well we decided to try their Filet and it was really amazing. The highlight of our meal. Also got a lazy lobster which was great but the steak won the night!! I haven't had steak like that outside of the midwest before.

For the rest, service was great and the atmosphere is really nice. It's an old house converted to a restaurant, though it's not rundown at all.

“Tarry Tavern for dinner: Mom had Seared maine sea scallops with local corn and leek risotto and I got the roasted Hudson valley duck breast with pecan cranberry wild rice and sunchoke purée. Unreal. Mom cleaned her plate at a restaurant for the first time in ages and mine was to die for. We shared the pumpkin pecan bread pudding for dessert. I had the Dulce de leche waffles. Unfortunately the water main in the area was being repaired at the time so we could not have espresso.“
