“Great happy hour spot. Don't arrive during happy hour for a dinner table without a reservation on a weekend night. High tops are seated for dinner guests only when guests finally are done with the long happy hour.

Drink specials at happy hour are worth the trip but someone has to wait in line at the door at 4:30 for high top seating. Meeting people at happy hour is easy because seating is close and you can hear everyone's chatter.

Well staffed. Good service. Catering takeout is easy and consistent.

“to the people commenting on the lack of ambiance...? i think it is fine. for me the music is "ambient" enough, along with the lovely wall mural, and photos showing what the food is....not to mention the collection of both holly AND "bolly"wood stars and starlets, adorning a back side wall. the dining area is always SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, and the bathroom shines. they keep the prices very reasonable, which is a HUUGE plus for me. the food is always great, fresh, and tasty, not to mention a lot healthier than the traditional american diet. staff is attentive. i never felt they "watch to see how many dishes you take", as someone suggested. they are likely making sure people get FRESH plates with every visit to the steam tables., since this is actually a restaurant/buffet health law...i have never ever, once felt like they wanted to "rush" me out. they are always very welcoming and accommodating.. “My experience was exceptional tonight in these days and times. When my order for Prime Rib was not cooked to order, they replaced it not only with the correct preferred doneness, but it was replaced in a timely manner and with a genuine desire to please me as a customer. Kudos to the manager that is in charge of the Prime Rib clientele - which is exceptional in the Clifton Park area. 👍“

“Family and I go a few times a year. Definitely like this place. Very common for locals to also come. Make sure to call for reservations during busy parts of the day. They also do take out as well. My go to is the shredded tofu with noodles. This time I happen to get a Vegetarian Spring Roll. Very good as well. I do like the Summer rolls as well. Next time I’ll get a summer roll ^_^“

“We were surprised and delighted by how fresh the food was at this restaurant. We wandered in about 8 PM on a very slow night and yet our sashimi was absolutely fantastic and all our other dishes were beautifully presented. We would 100% return to this restaurant. It’s a hidden gem“

“The Tavern has been in business a long time. Used to be called The Clam Steam Tavern. Was and maybe still is, a popular country music venue. My dad was a country and western singer and played there a lot in the 50's. Maybe even in the late 40's. A nostalgic band stand and dance floor is still there and looks like it is in use. The food is standard bar food but very good. I do not eat seafood however my wife does and really likes the clams. Enjoy eating on the outside porch. Will be back this summer.“

“Literally the best. You can get your food in 10minutes or 1hr. They’re so chill. Our server was Euclides Aristides, he’s on point, always checking, cleaning, bussing tables and being a waiter. 10/10“

“We had a retirement party for my husband in the banquet room downstairs. Highly recommend. Very bright, nicely decorated, private, and kid friendly. Joan their event coordinator was absolutely amazing from beginning planning to end. Great to work with. She made the evening so stress free. We hope to have more events in the banquet room.“

Our waitress was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Everyone’s food was excellent — flavorful, well-prepared, and served in generous portions. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. This place has quickly become one of our favorite spots!“

Parking: There is always parking in this lot as there are other businesses next door that also have spots available. The entire lot is usually only about 30% full.“
