“Great apps, amazing entrees, decent wine list, and omg those desserts! Our waiter was awesome. We shared the garlic bread and calamari, we all loved both. I had the veal parm, so good. For dessert I had a pistachio ricotta pie that was out of this world. Highly recommend checking Anthony’s out asap. Great new space too, I had only been to the original restaurant. Love the addition of the salad bar too!“

Great stuff. And for an entree was ribs, brisket with sides of chili and salad. A came.with cornbread Everything was spectacular, one of the.best meals I have had. Bacon in the chili and the house dressing being bbq ranch were nice touches. My server Alison deserves a lot of credit too. Pleasant person, hard working, and made great suggestions when I asked. From the time we called for a reservation, right through dinner, the entire staff, and especially our server Casey were so welcoming and accommodating. The drinks, food, and service were all superb! Casey made us feel like we were the only thing that mattered in the restaurant, while the kitchen and bar handled some special requests with ease! In a world where the meaning of hospitality seems to have been forgotten by so many, this restaurant still knows what it means, and executes flawlessly. I highly recommend, and will definitely be back when in the Albany area. (I may even have to make a special trip back just for this restaurant!)“

“Grappa 72 has always been my favorite. ❤️here’s why. I hadn’t been in awhile- used to go frequently, so I grabbed a to-go order of their excellent fettuccini bolognese and some bruschetta to take home after a very long drive- ❤️❤️❤️and had a glass of wine at their friendly and comfortable bar while I waited. It’s 100 degrees outside- so I wasn’t dressed (shorts and an ocean city tee lol) but it was early.. so I popped in to wait for my order. From reception to bar to the chef popping out with my order- to the other lovely guests who were popping in as well and enjoying banter and kind conversation.. the bartender primo making everyone happy- I can’t tell you how much that atmosphere warms my soul. Good people, great food, no pretensions, phenomenal service.. and I can attest from so many previous visits- a warm and inviting dining room where when they have music you never want to leave. “This place is so nice and the guy they had out front was awesome. Very friendly and good at making conversation that was appropriate for the situation. As soon as we walked in I could smell how good this place was going to be. The overall atmosphere was a really nice mix of casual and more upscale. Very nice seating arrangements and I loved the nice blue fake fire place. I would definitely recommend them. We also went during a time when it was not very busy about 4pm yet there were still a handful of tables full despite the unpopular time.“

“to the people commenting on the lack of ambiance...? i think it is fine. for me the music is "ambient" enough, along with the lovely wall mural, and photos showing what the food is....not to mention the collection of both holly AND "bolly"wood stars and starlets, adorning a back side wall. the dining area is always SPOTLESSLY CLEAN, and the bathroom shines. they keep the prices very reasonable, which is a HUUGE plus for me. the food is always great, fresh, and tasty, not to mention a lot healthier than the traditional american diet. staff is attentive. i never felt they "watch to see how many dishes you take", as someone suggested. they are likely making sure people get FRESH plates with every visit to the steam tables., since this is actually a restaurant/buffet health law...i have never ever, once felt like they wanted to "rush" me out. they are always very welcoming and accommodating.. “An excellent selection of hard to find Eastern European beers and wines! Plus we tried some local brews. Bartender very good at helping us choose what we’d like. Relaxed atmosphere- we’ve eaten both inside and out in the garden, which is hidden from the street and a nice surprise to find after walking through the black gates. “Family and I go a few times a year. Definitely like this place. Very common for locals to also come. Make sure to call for reservations during busy parts of the day. They also do take out as well. My go to is the shredded tofu with noodles. This time I happen to get a Vegetarian Spring Roll. Very good as well. I do like the Summer rolls as well. Next time I’ll get a summer roll ^_^“

We didn’t think we would find a place and on Graduation weekend made the odds more against it, My husband Tom and Brother in Law Keith stopped in McGrieveys and Terry said he could accommodate us. ( even though we didn’t know how many people.). Terry went above and beyond taking orders, bartending, and bringing out the food.
