“I grew up in the area, but only started coming here recently. I live 25 minutes away but it's the only place I'll buy Cinese food now. The quality is 10/10 and no matter how long its been the woman at the counter is always in a good mood and remembers my order.
Thank you for the great service!“

“My girlfriends and I enjoyed Shrimp Chow Mein, Seafood Delight, Pepper Steak with Onions, Iced Tea, Diet Soda and Egg Rolls. It is mostly a takeout place but they have several tables that fill up quickly. It is a "Mom and Pop," restaurant, but they put their heart into it. The portions are large, and they have lots of vegetables, which I like. My girlfriends and I do eat here regularly, and we are loyal customers!“

“Today, on Saturday, August 24th, 2024, I had to kill time between doing chores in the morning and having to go to a meeting in the afternoon. I was hungry for some inexpensive Chinese food, so I ordered the Shrimp Chow Mein with fried rice and an egg roll. Weeks earlier I had the large Almond milk tea with extra Tapioca Pearl (extra portion), no sugar and light ice. (I didn't miss the sugar!) This time, with my Shrimp Chow Mein Combination Plate (lunch), I had a large Matcha Milk Tea with extra Tapioca Pearl (extra portion), no sugar and light ice (again, I didn't miss the sugar!)
The lady at the counter was very friendly, offering me a wet paper towel when I spilled hot mustard over my straw hat from Australia, leaving no stain. I like the clean bright ambience. I will return, not only to eat the restaurant, but for takeout, too!
Vegetarian options: The couple who work there listen carefully to special requests. There is a large vegetarian section and many of their offerings can easily be made vegetarian.
Dietary restrictions: I am on a plant-based, no sugar and no fat diet, allowing myself occasional seafood and white meat. I felt very safe eating there. I like 75% to 85% vegetables and fruit to fill my plate. I feel this restaurant takes special diets very seriously. I certainly would like to be slim and trim as the couple working there!
Parking: You can park safely behind the restaurant if you are willing to walk a couple of blocks. The same with the street parking.
Kid-friendliness: If you are getting take-out, it is great for the whole family. Because of the light furniture, I would be concerned about the safety of younger children. The restaurant is great for well-behaved older children.
Wheelchair accessibility: I am on a cane, but I am always on the lookout for eateries that are wheelchair accessible for my friends who are in wheelchairs. All over downtown Beacon, the sidewalks are very narrow and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, Beacon is crowded with tourists. My wheelchair using friends like to visit as soon as they open and on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to avoid the tourists. Beacon attracts a mellow crowd who will help you navigate the entrance and the couple who work there are very kind and will help you get out.“

“Simple walk-in & order style chinese spot.
Prices are very fair. I think these are the best Chinese BBQ ribs in the area. The wonton soup is also good and can really satisfy a cold. There is a slight black pepper taste to it.
I always get what I expect and am always left feeling satisfied.“

“Never had a mediocre or bad experience here. Always accurate, quick to produce and always piping hot food.
The only single item I can say is that it’s a take out restaurant primarily. So the interior of restaurant looks purposeful. It’s not dressed up or glamorous.“

“This is the best Chinese food in the area, in my opinion. It's always fresh and delicious. We don't eat pork and they are very accommodating with substitutions and any changes we request. They are also very kind and the restaurant is clean.“

“It's a shame they don't deliver! The food is really good..much better than the other local chinese restaurants. I would much rather take the ride to pick up their food than get delivery and have it be soggy and cold..and possibly forget the soy/duck sauce..lol“

“Quintessential pick up Chinese food. I've been coming here for years and everything is great. Any noodle dish is good and your classics are great. Chicken and broccoli, chicken lo mein, crab rangoon etc. The staff is incredibly friendly and always smiling. The food comes out quick and hot. If you spend over a certain amount they throw in a bag of something small on the house. Typically pork wontons or donuts.“

“I've been a very satisfied customer for years and was really happy to see them expand beyond take-out into a small buffet. I tried the new buffet and was very happy to see the quality of the food is still excellent! Buffet pricing is very reasonable and I'll definitely be back for more! I just wish these good folks had a TripAdvisor listing so I could give them an excellent rating there as well.:-)“

“Favorite food here is shrimp fried rice. It is freshly made. Plenty of shrimp and vegetables. Shrimp and broccoli, general tso chicken, ribs excellent. Egg rolls a little greasy. Staff professional and hardworking. Prices are not bad. Large shrimp fried rice $8.00. This is a regular spot for me. Place looks plain but clean.“

“This is a good spot if you're seeking some good Chinese grub. The prices are in line with other restaurants. Great location with plenty of parking. If you're around the neighborhood, I would most definitely recommend this place. For vegetarians, I would recommend the vegetable egg-foo young.“

“Food is always great, and everyone is very polite. And if you order delivery, you never have to wait a long time. I just ordered literally today and my food was at my door 19 minutes after I called them. There is nothing to complain about as far as food and service go with this place. They need more than 5 stars.“

“I ordered the chicken with string beans and rice and while it wasn’t quite what I expected I could tell a lot of effort went into preparing the meal. The flavors were unique and it’s clear they’re trying something a little different which I can appreciate. The portion size was generous and everything was hot and fresh when it arrived. I’m looking forward to exploring more items on the menu to find my favorites. Thanks to the team for their hard work!“

“We needed a quick bite in between touring West Point and this was the perfect spot. The food was fresh, flavorful and delicious. The chicken fried rice was cooked just right; the chicken was seasoned well and the portion was a plate full. The Mongolian beef had plenty of meat and fresh vegetables, it was served with steamed rice. The chicken and broccoli was served with a brown sauce and plenty of chicken and vegetables also served with steamed rice. The service was quick and friendly. Drinks are sodas and waters served in cans and bottles.“

“Feng was amazingly helpful. Less than 24 hours before a bridal shower, the restaurant we had contracted with reneged, leaving us high and dry.
I called Oriental Kitchen and Feng came to our rescue. In a few hours he and his chefs had created and executed a carry out caterering menu!
The guests remarked on how flavorful, fresh and well balanced the food was. It reminded them of good old fashioned Chinese food, not like what's become commonplace. The homemade dumplings were a huge hit!
Thanks, Feng, for your kindness, speed and generosity! Your delicious food saved the bridal shower!“

“This restaurant dose have ok food. But extremely overpriced. Portion sizes are not big. Unfortunately in our area we have no other good places. So occasionally I will pay the price. I don’t think they will make it in today’s economy with these outrageous prices!!!“

“Great food from great people. I'm 33 years old and have been coming here since I could remember. Reading some of these reviews hurts because they're far from the truth. Either from people who just don't like newburgh, or people who most likely were rude first then got their attitude reflected back to them and didn't like it. A gem in my home town and I hope will be here longer than I am. Thank you for all you've done over the years you're very much appreciated!!“

“Great food, never got sick ever. Staff takes orders n its quick! U wait maybe 15minutes max from showing up n ordering. U can call ahead though to order. Prices r good for the portion sizes! I got a pint of house lo mein, wonton soup, and na shrimp egg roll for $13! Can't beat that! Staff nice and U can eat inside! Parking is limited but still good n easy. It is wheel chair accessible. There is no restroom though for public. It's the best Chinese in Newburgh! Plz though bring back pints of hot n sour! They only sell now quarts ugh..many choices on the menu if U want no salt or vegetarian too! They have lunch specials for cheaper also.
Vegetarian options: There are many choices like egg foo Young n you can get steamed vegetables.
Dietary restrictions: U can get low sodium plates/dishes or no salt n there are more then just 2 or 3. They will work w you!
Parking: U can park right in front of the restaurant, there is always room or across the street in a huge parking lot all for free or park on the side street but I wouldn't in Newburgh!
Kid-friendliness: U can dine in but has no child boosters or high chairs. Just adult chairs w metal tables.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get out in parking lot. No lip straight into the restaurant. The door though is not push button but U can wheel in. Also the window is a bit high up but the second opening is wheelchair level so don't worry! Can wheel right up to a table inside.“

“We've tried at least four different places in the area, and this got the highest marks across all four dishes. We tried sesame chicken combo, wonton soup, Singapore mei fun, and szechuan beef. The beef wasn't spicy but still not bad.“

“Finally a place that gets it right!! Exactly the way I ordered my.food is the way I got it. The Scallion Pancakes were really good and crispy and you can taste the Scallion. I was always getting soggy sesame chicken and scallion pancakes but Great Wall got it right. From now on this will be our go to for Chinese food. Very Friendly service and clean“

“Recently we stopped at China Wok on the way home to pick up something for dinner. It seemed to be new Owner or Management. It was a Takeout order, I found the food to taste very fresh, the Vegetables and rice were delicious. The chicken was tender as well. The service was fast and friendly. I'm guessing that the majority of their business is takeout, that's why I rate the atmosphere 4 star, there's always room for improvement, for a takeout place it was acceptable, at least it was clean. I would definitely eat there again.“

“This is our favorite Chinese spot and I’ve been a loyal customer for many years. Family owned and operated. We order from here at least once a week and the food is always hot and fresh. The prices here are also a lot lower than other places. The owners have always been very nice to us and I love to support hardworking people. They are working from open till close everyday and their dedication is praiseworthy. Don’t let the location deter you from coming here, it’s worth it!“

“Great sushi! My go to place in Beacon for sushi that isn't all you can eat. So you're paying for each roll, but at least they're good. Tried some sake, not too bad and it's a large bottle.
They often have coupons for 10% off in the local Hudson valley coupon magazine.“

“I took a day trip to Cold Spring via the Seastreak ferry. The restaurant caught my eye initially because of the clothing and gift items that were displayed outside. I found a beautiful reversible Shanghai Tang embroidered jacket, and took it inside to purchase. Inside the restaurant were more gifts and clothing for sale. The owner was very pleasant. The restaurant smelled great, so I decided to order food. I had the spicy chicken, pork and beef with white rice. It had the right amount of spice, and the portion was large enough that I had leftovers. If you find yourself in Cold Spring, I highly recommend a visit to New Ming Moon. You may just find a hidden treasure.“
