“We found this place on a spur of the moment lunch date decision and so glad we did as we really enjoyed ourselves so much. The pizza is fantastic and we also enjoyed a shrimp app with this incredible tomato sauce and got cheese served with some crust to soak up that yummy sauce. The owner Stephanie I think is her name was so welcoming and even let our dog come join us as it was late and not crowded in the front. Our service was perfect too and I will return for sure maybe for dinner to try the other pasta dishes and more pizza.“

From Tappan to Upper Saddle River they brought some of the best "plain" slices I've had since moving to NJ - and it showed up quick, hot and totally in tact. We fking loved this pizza. “UPDATE AT THE END;I ordered online ahead of time to have my order ready on time, when I arrived in the store, the worker at the counter was choosing his priorities of personal life over the customers.He left me waiting there while my food was getting soggy more and more by the minute..He was busy catching up with some friends..When I spoke up and asked if my order is ready, the friend backed off to let me through to the counter, but this lovely worker took the opportunity to now call another friend over Video call to show him who just came in to the store.......To the business owner, if you want to have a good name, please make sure to talk to the worker that worked at the counter on March 30th at 11:45 - 11:55 pm.----UPDATE.A few minutes after posting the review, I got a reply from the owner that he will look into this.The next morning I got a call from him that he looked at the CCTV footage and wants to hear more details from me.I gave him the full story and he said that he will talk to the worker.I got a call from him not too long after the initial call, and he clarified what the story was and that the company is taking full responsibility on this.Now, after this I can proudly say, the customers service is 10 out of 5, awesome and amazing to deal with responsible people, a mistake is a mistake.“

As for the pizza ? we traveled here from Cape Cod in search of the best pizza from Rockland County NY through Bergen County NJ. We eventually landed here at Petrillos and met John and his parents working behind the counter. An old school hard-working family making traditional pizzas. We were blown away by what they had created, a super tasty combination of classic sauce and the perfect amount of cheese on a slightly crispy underbody with a soft but crisp crust. We ordered 13 pizzas that day, 10 plain,1 green pepper & onion, and 2 chicken cutlet and cherry pepper. After trying the Chicken cutlet and cherry pepper I called the next morning and ordered 3 more...wow it was awesome. Upon picking up the pizzas Sunday morning we discovered John making breakfast on the flat-top grill so my wife ordered French toast and bacon, yum! We gave this establishment a 5-star review but on a scale of 1-10 we gave our highest review 9.8 only because there has to be room for something higher, we just haven't found it yet. “I stopped into La Bona Pizza after a drive up in Old Tappan and tried a slice of their cheese pizza. It is excellent!. The sauce has so much flavor and that makes the base of the pizza. They are a little on the pricy side but it is well worth it. The rest of their pizzas on display looked really good but they were $4.00 a slice which was a little high for me but there were some creative topping like Chicken Parm and Baked Ziti.“

“Where do I begin? We had our daughter's party scheduled from 3:00pm-5:00pm and from the moment we came in, the staff greeted us. We met our hostess Lisa almost immediately as she came right out to introduce herself and walk us over to our table. We got there about half an hour early and everything was already nicely set up. Throughout our time there, Lisa did a spectacular job by being so friendly and attentive. The manager, Denishah was also amazing. She also came over to introduce herself and let us know that if we needed anything to please come see her. She also helped provide support during the party and was just so incredibly friendly, kind and professional. We all had a great time and my daughter wants to come back to this Chuck E. “I have passed this place thousands of times, but never ate here. I stopped in tonight and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered pizza, 2 heroes and some cannoli's to go. The pizza was excellent and in my opinion, better than the pizza at other nearby restaurants! The heroes also got great reviews!! Although I'm not a huge fan of cannoli's, they were very good and hit the spot :) I have no idea why it took me so long to try this place out, but I will def. be back! “The pepperoni rolls here are somehow the most amazing food on Earth. They had went downhill for a bit - which was still superior to most - but somehow have made a comeback to perfection. Only downside is that I do not live in Croton anymore, and the 50 we bought to take home are now having to be shared with the kids because they too have realized how great they are! “Every once in a rare while you might find something so exceptional that it changes an entire genre. I did. It's name is Baci Pizzeria. And I don't think pizza will ever be the same for me.The pizzas here are like nothing I've ever had, all made with a high-hydration sourdough and allowed to rise far longer than usual. Those long, slow steps take extra time and effort, but create an unusually flavorful dough that turns good into extraordinary. That seems to be how pizza begins at Baci.We tried two different pies this trip. A basic round pie with soppressata, red sauce, mozzarella, and hot honey. Plus a Detroit style square with prosciutto and arugula. There's no question we'll be back for the others and whatever may pop up on their Special of the Week menus.The crust of this round pie is fairly thin, a bit chewy, and flavorful enough to be its own happy event. The red sauce is reduced almost to a jam, pushing the acidity of the tomatoes toward an intensified umami. The result is incredible and I haven't even finished my first bite.That basic deliciousness is topped with a bit of mozzarella and just enough hot honey to announce that this is something different. And the result is somewhere between WOW and WONDERFUL. As I said, like nothing else.That round pie looked a bit small at first and the toppings seemed minimal. And yet this may be the most opulent slice of pizza I have ever eaten....The I got to the Detroit square and my knees were knocking in joy... That's the pie I want to take with me to eternity.Only an inch or so tall and barely five inches wide it may seem small at first glance. Don't be fooled. All the goodness has been condensed into this astonishing little masterpiece. The dough takes center stage here and prosciutto adds a richness that's balanced by the sharp tang of arugula.That's the key to almost everything here - balance. Every tiny addition adds to the whole without overpowering it.... The result is consistently stunning.For now, Baci is takeout only. Order online or expect a longish wait because this really is the antithesis of fast food. “We could not be happier with how our evening turned out at Olar Noso.A pretty place located right off of Tappan road, there’s ample parking and not a long wait time around 20:00 to be comfortably seated. The restaurant is spacious, lively but not noisy, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Liv, our server, was on point with giving explanations and suggestions on the entrees. We absolutely loved the Salad: I think it consisted of: shredded ricotta salata, pear, pomegranate, arugula, walnuts, and farro (wheat berries), yum, a perfect symphony of flavors which has become one of my favorite dishes. The three of us ordered to share, we commenced with the Gnocchetti "Little pillows" of goat cheese and ricotta with hand-crushed organic tomato, caramelized eggplant, basil, ricotta salata, we found it to be a perfect combination of flavors with every bite. Next were the pizzas; Soppressata pizza topped withtomato, mozzarella, Soppressata, chili oil and honey (the added honey complimented the chili oil). Next, I was outvoted to try the pistachio pizza.. I’ve never had this in my life and asked Liv (as a fellow foodie) for guidance… with mixed reviews, it was decidedly my least favorite, however, it would be interesting to try it with pistachio nuts in a 60/40 blend (in a Vitamix) with ricotta as a spreadable topping (similar to the way a Nutella pizza is prepared).The food was amazing, you can tell their heart is in courtship with creativity by their constant pursuit to invent new and well balanced entrees (with lots to choose from).It’s great to see the way the restaurant blends locally sourced and seasonal ingredients into new creations bringing the farm to table experience for their patrons to enjoy.
