It's also worth trying their slushe drinks! So much better than the 7/11 stores.

Only negative is that there is not enough seating and it can get super busy. It is a 10/10 and would recommend.“

“Came here for the chicken skin and the bami giew goong and both did NOT disappoint. Chicken skin was crazy crispy, comes with this sweet-tangy dipping sauce that I could've drank straight. Gone in like 2 minutes.

The egg noodle with shrimp wontons soups on side was so comforting — wontons were packed full, broth was light but flavorful, loaded with cilantro and bok choy. Def the move if you want something warm and filling.

Portions are big, food came out fast and hot. Definitely coming back to try more off the menu 🍜“

“You can read story on their wall but this is not roasted as it says since chicken skin not even crispy. It’s braised old, tough chicken (similar to Coq Au Vin) which not really my thing since kinda dry & tough.

I got noodle soup as side so it somewhat masks dryness but still not as good as juicy, tender chicken. I’m more into young, tender chicken slow roasted under low heat.

Place is tiny & more a takeout place. Prices & service good but style of cooking just not my thing.“

“I loveee it here! Our server immediately came over to us to take our order, was attentive, other staff checked in on us, I’m not sure if it was the chef or owner but he came over and spoke to my partner and gave us some good vibes.
We had a curry shrimp roti and a curry chicken roti and the chicken was sooo well cooked and seasoned omg, I loved the curry shrimp roti just as well. We will definitely be back.“

“Good price and quality. I always order it with the sauce on the side and one time they forgot the sauce and it still tasted amazing without sauce. I often order it without sauce now lol. Other places drench everything in sauce to mask the taste of low quality meat but not here. The meat is great quality and very flavorful on its own.“

“I really wanted to love this place. This was my second visit, and while there are a lot of things they do well, there are still some areas that need improvement.

Food:
As a Korean, I thought the chicken itself was really good. It was crispy, and I liked that they offer so many sauce options. My favorites were the Sweet & Sour and Spicy Garlic. The Smoky K-BBQ, it was meh- it wasn’t sweet, spicy, or smoky enough and tasted pretty bland. The SOS Spicy was extremely spicy (Buldak-level), so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to heat.

I’ve tried a lot of Korean fried chicken spots in NJ, and I’d honestly rank this as one of the better ones. My biggest complaint is the sauce application. The chicken wasn’t coated evenly, with a lot of bare spots, and they weren’t very generous with the sauce, so there wasn’t enough to coat the pieces that were left plain.

The Blooming Onion was tasty but a little too greasy.The dipping sauce was also meh. The Korean Corn Ribs were good, but the portion felt small for the price.

Service:
This has been the biggest issue on both of my visits. They gave me an estimated pickup time, and I arrived after that, but my order still wasn’t ready. I ended up waiting another 5+ minutes even though I was the only customer there.

I know it’s World Cup season and everyone wants to watch the games, but the cooks were watching soccer while cooking instead of focusing on the orders. It gave the impression that the kitchen wasn’t paying full attention.

Overall, this is a good spot with some really solid food, but it has plenty of room for improvement. I hope the manager sees this review because with a little more attention to consistency and service, this place could easily become one of the best Korean fried chicken spots in the area.“

“This place has been on my bucket list for a long time so I was looking forward to my visit.

I got the chili chicken leg with fries combo, which was made to order. The dish was beautifully presented and the chicken was perfectly cooked. However, I thought that the seasoning was unexpectedly sweeter than I would have liked. I appreciate that gloves were offered.

Beware that if you dine in, there is only a portable AC that absolutely struggled to perform; I found the temperature inside unbearably hot. I felt bad for the staff, who were fantastic.

I'd come again to try something else, though maybe for takeout instead.“

This place is honestly one of my go-to's whenever I'm not totally sure what I'm in the mood for but I know I want something really good, and they never, ever let me down. Their wine list is solid too. The staff are always super friendly and on top of things. Everything comes out perfectly seasoned and the portions are seriously generous.

My usual order is the chicken sandwich with a Caesar salad and fries on the side. You can't go wrong with it.“

It was my first time experiencing halal food so I asked bunch of questions to the guys at the line and they were very chill; they described all the toppings that I pointed to and gave me a GENEROUS PORTION. Chicken was well seasoned and tender, rice was also seasoned and chickpeas and hummus were decently fresh; everything tasted good even on the next day. This fed me for easily two days! “I’m literally writing this while I’m still sitting here because these guys deserve a shout-out. I’ve been to a bunch of Dave’s Hot Chicken spots, and this is easily the best one.

I was having a nightmare with the app, and Mohammed took the lead helping me figure the whole thing out. He was patient, never rushed me, and made sure everything was taken care of. Ahnaf was very helpful too, and both of them were friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure I had a great experience.

The whole staff has been awesome. If you’re trying to decide which Dave’s Hot Chicken to go to, make it the 188th Street location in Queens. I’ll definitely be back.“

I remember there used to be a Papa’s chicken in Midwood years ago and so I decided to try this.

The man who took my order was very fast. Very efficient.

I ordered the Combo 1 with the Spicy chicken sandwich, spicy wings and french fries along with a water. Total cost was 13:05 paid with credit.

I ate the spicy chicken sandwich there and it was so GOOD. And very fulfilling. Couldn’t even eat the wings and fries. Later had them and wings were good. Fries were ok.

There’s 3-4 tables and they had the ac on which was nice. It was a hot day. Too hot. As I was eating started feeling hot again.

I sat down after giving the order and saw that the tables could use a clean. Floor needed a clean too.

There was a Mexican station / restaurant inside this restaurant as well.

Also - no bathroom. Not cool for me but food was good.

Overall I would come again.

“late review but great vibes all around! I stopped in to grab some food and watch the second-to-last Knicks game on my phone, and the atmosphere was awesome. The night crew was friendly, the food came out fresh, and everything was on point.

The manager had amazing energy and was a huge Spurs fan, even though they ended up losing that night 😂.

“TLDR: Great Korean fried chicken shop in Greenpoint. Spicy crispy wings and definitely try a Korean corn dog.

I was curious to try a few spots in Greenpoint and this was one of them. The chicken is fried fresh so you do need to wait a bit but who doesn't want their chicken made to order?

I'm not a corn dog person at all but I did try the half/half with the potato coating. It was still hot from the fry and the cheese pull on the mozzarella half was very impressive. The beef hot dog half was also good as well. It's finished with powder sugar (as it's mean to be) and it all works pretty well together. Grabbed one for the wife and she was very happy with it.

I ordered the crispy spicy wings and these were very enjoyable. There are not many Korean chicken shops that do this style. I prefer mine sauceless and the battery has a nice kick to it. The skin is crunchy and the chicken is juicy and VERY HOT.

Brought some wings back home and air-fried them the next day, still very delicious. Definitely would check out again if I'm in the area.“
