I avoided visiting because the sales tax is higher at this location, but the build quality of the food and the freshness of the ingredients make up for the added expense. This is a joy lifter of a restaurant where the culinary performance clearly lives up to its claims of being a high-end establishment.
During my visit, I ordered the Mapo tofu as a vegan option, which served as a perfect test for the quality of the vegetables used in the kitchen. The produce was remarkably fresh and well-prepared, showcasing a level of detail often missing from standard fare. While the Szechuan seasoning was not quite as numbing as I desired, this profile is somewhat expected for this region and did not detract from the overall high-quality experience. The flavors were faithful to authentic techniques while remaining accessible, proving that the kitchen team is extremely knowledgeable.
Bottom Line: Tzen offers a sophisticated and flavorful menu that justifies the premium cost through sheer quality. If you are looking for an elevated, authentic vegan meal with fresh, premium ingredients, this is an excellent choice; however, if you are strictly budget-conscious or seeking the intense, numbing heat found in traditional Szechuan provinces, you may find the seasoning and price point a bit deficient for your specific needs. My mom came recently from Serbia and i wanted to order a really good chicken parm with vodka sauce that i had a few weeks ago,but yesterday i received a chicken parm that was pretty dry and almost no vodka sauce. Pretty disappointed with last order overall,but its still a good place. I just hope you dont be stingy with sauces again.“

“I need to tell you that my family has been going to LaTulipe for the past 20 years and this place just keeps getting better and better. The quality of the cakes are exquisite and second to none .
Marteen, Fran, Michelle and quite frankly the entire staff are incredibly helpful and always accommodating. They will take orders for special occasions that make the celebrations so much more memorable. We have celebrated birthdays , graduations , sporting events , and they have made amazing designs and put photos on the cakes that have taken deserts to an entirely new level.
Finally, my daughter who has been gluten free since the age of 10 has never had to feel compromised in celebrating her special occasions because the birthday cakes and graduation cakes have been off the charts delicious. We look forward to her wedding cake next year!

I have to meet your driver 3 stories down at the front door because they will not come in the building to deliver/ your place is the restaurant in town that has this ridiculous idea of how to do business! Waiter was not friendly, and had no interest in assisting us. Didn't even offer bread , only came after we asked during the appetizer. Food was average to above average which helped the situation. “My girlfriends and I was just at Moderne Barn last night. It was my first time eating here. I have to say the overall environment was very friendly, welcoming, beautiful. By the way I love the chandeliers. We sat upstairs - very nice area. Plenty of people eating here. The food and drinks I may add is very delicious. I had salmon and white wine and sangria.
