“This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Telkwa and Smithers. I probably spend far too much money then I should here, but I absolutely love it. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is great, and don't even get me started on the coffee and the food. I don't know if I've had anything that I didn't like from here. I've tried pretty much everything from the pies, meat pies, the freshly made sourdough bread that is just delicious, and the burgers on Fridays. You also have things like the cookies, the brownies and so much more. On top of all of that there's even a lot that I have yet to try, the ice cream being one of them. She even went on vacation for a couple of weeks and that was probably the longest couple of weeks without a good coffee. Oh yeah and I almost forgot, the breakfast wraps are absolutely delicious. You got to try them. Try anything try everything try it all, I'm sure you'll love it.“

“A group of 8 to 10 of us has been going to roots every other week for a couple months to play mahjong in the back area. First of all, the food is good and there's a gourmet candy section to drool over at the front of the store. There are also great baked goods to take out. But I would like to address the staff, especially Mallory. They have made us feel so welcome. Our tables are always ready. She already knows what kind of drinks and soups and coffee most of us are going to want...(And when) She greets us and waits on us as soon as we arrive. And she attends to us all afternoon while taking care of the customers at the front of the store. One doesn't see this kind of excellence very often. They are accommodating attentive and fun. “So grateful Works Cafe opened a location near Crossgates Mall (Guilderland/Albany)! Only a couple minutes from I-87, worth the stop! Great smoothies, bowls, bagels, sandwiches, and bring your coffee mug to fill for a discount. Best loyalty program too! Earn points! My favorite smoothies… Carrot Mango with added protein and the Kale Crush with added protein. Great for after a workout or when on the run! The folks working there are the BEST TOO!“

I work with individuals who have special needs and they are always willing to help my client’s peers when they purchase drinks and meals. The entertainment on weekends are nothing that I have experienced anywhere else.

Mr. Ventura is always polite, attentive and accommodating. The staff are as well! Really giving you that welcoming hometown coffee shop feeling.

Considering I drive 30 minutes out of my way to grab a bite to eat. That should say enough about how delicious the food is. But if I must, the food is just as excellent! The Love Salad is my favorite! They also have gluten free options!

“I had an amazing dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting—perfect for a relaxed evening out. We were greeted by the boss Ali, and The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home.

We started with the Mozzarella Sticks which was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. For the main course, I had the Chicken Shawarma Meal and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce was beautiful and the flavors were perfectly balanced, and the portion size was just right.

The bar was also impressive, every drink was perfect, which was the perfect sweet ending to the meal.

“We had our first couples boxing class last night and it was outstanding. Corey is open to unique class ideas is very welcoming to everyone. Our trainer was also outstanding! He worked out the entire time with my husband and I and kept the enthusiasm alive the whole time! Such an awesome experience from some other gyms and group fitness that yell at people or don’t watch for correct form and ensure safety. We will be back!!!“

“My husband and I are soooo happy we decided to go to Cafe Capriccio for Valentine's Day this year! We actually booked a little early and didn't know they'd be having a prix fixe menu but Carly was amazing in contacting us and coordinating everything so we would still be able to go! The food, as usual, was amazing. For appetizers, my husband had the grilled octopus and I had the crab cake. For main course, we both had their filet mignons. For dessert, my husband had the pistachio cake and I had tiramisu. Our server was also very attentive and the other staff were also amazing. It was obviously busier than normal since it's Valentine's so we understood if our server wasn't able to attend to us like any server would on a normal day but the entire team was amazing and I could tell they all knew how to feel things out and help each other. Hats off to you guys! Keep it up, you're all amazing. And like I said on my Instagram story, Cafe Capriccio is the place to go to for ANY occasion. 10/10!“

The coffee I loved it too. quick service though the 1 person who make my sandwich shes kinda rude but thats okay my food taste good anyways. Price is fair I recommend go here instead dunking donut. “Peaches is a great spot for breakfast but it also has some nice dinner additions as well. We had the salmon which was tender and perfectly cooked as well as the pasta Cajun chicken. Chicken was tasty and had a good amount of heat. Definitely recommend.“

“My husband and I got married at Lucas. We had the time of our lives and can’t believe how amazing the day went. From first tour and booking to packing everything up and leaving, Maeve was absolutely phenomenal to work with. She was smart, easy to work with, responsive, attentive, understanding, and just a calm and collected figure the day of the wedding. We rented all of Lucas and the Garden for our wedding. We did brunch so there was a lot of logistics I was quite worried about since the timeline in the morning was so tight to do an 11am ceremony.

Everything went off without a hitch, we had to delay the start time by 5 additional minutes and that was no problem for them! The venue was decorated beautifully. The front lounge is so sunny in the morning and the space felt so warm and welcoming when people first came in. It was raining on our wedding (good luck for us!) so it was so nice having people walk into this beautiful cozy space. The garden is picture perfect. It felt like a dream. It is not a big space so the space would not work for a larger wedding. The garden is where both our ceremony and our reception took place. The staff flipped the space during cocktail hour (by the bar and front area). When they flipped the space, they made sure to include the specials I requested like putting the centerpieces, program, and name plates out. Maeve even realized I forgot table numbers and quickly went in the back and made some for my 5 tables so guests knew where they were going.

We had a few extras that were around the venue in lieu of dancing and all the little nooks and crannies helped fill the space. For events, they have the buffet on the back wall which was perfect and out of the way. The bar was always packed, and everyone said the bartenders were friendly and fast—just what you want at a wedding. I literally had no complaints from any of my guests and everyone raved about the spot. Most of the guests had never been there and couldn’t believe how different and unique Lucas was from traditional event spaces.
The venue was able to play my playlist over their Bluetooth speakers, Maeve helped control the music for us walking down the aisle and the recessional. The venue was so prepared, it was obvious that they had done several events and are true event professionals. They even let us bring everything the night before and put our flowers in cold storage for us overnight to keep them fresh. We had a few large and bulky items and I had lots of bins. I was worried they weren’t going to have the room to store stuff overnight but Maeve took everything to the back and told me that it wouldn’t be a problem which was a huge relief. I created my own flower centerpieces and was really worried that they would die from Friday to Saturday if they weren’t put somewhere safe. My last rave will be about how unlike traditional wedding venues, Lucas doesn’t nickel and dime you. There were no stupid BS fees like napkin overuse fee, coffee creamer fee, set up fee, Bluetooth speaker fee, etc. The contract stated everything and that is what we were charged which is amazing because most venue I feel look at weddings like a cash grab and Lucas didn’t do that.

Only small con is that one of my guests said the roof in the garden was leaking in one small spot so I would recommend that someone looks at the roof ASAP before we start getting summer thunderstorms.“
