The chicken soup served Friday night was absolutely superb and above expectations when being served from a commercial kitchen! It was hearty and hot along with the matzah balls and noodles!For all three meals (Friday night, Shabbas lunch and Shalesh Suedes) the courses were plated nicely.We have a number of family members that required strict gluten free options which was met absolutely beyond expectations! Everything was clearly labeled and kept clean away from any cross contamination and indeed no one walked away with any reactions!I absolutely reccomend Heimish for any and all types of simchas for your catering needs!“

“We have a lot of fond memories on Glen Island so it only is appropriate to have a wedding there. Met with Rocco he was extremely helpful. Because of Covid restrictions and other family emergencies we had to put the planning of our wedding on hold. We recently looked at this venue and it is looking like this place will be the winner for having our winter wedding in 2022. Tasteful decor, classy, elegant but not ostentatious or over the top like some of the other venues, which is exactly my style.“

I was in search of a great chef to come to our home and cook a surprise 60th birthday dinner for my husband and came across Chef Abyssinia with a Google search that turned up with many 5-star reviews. I called immediately and was fortunate she was available. It was a pleasurable experience from start to finish and if I could give more than a 5-star review I would. She is a warm, friendly, and incredibly talented chef who takes great pride in her work as was displayed by the preparation and deliciousness. I would go as far as saying it was one of our top 5 meals ever and we are big foodies. “This was our first time at this restaurant and we really enjoyed it. The food was uniformly excellent. I had the halibut and the other people had the seafood pasta dish, which I also tasted. We had the chowder appetizer which was very good but just a bit on the salty side. Service was casual but efficient and attentive. They split a shared appetizer without being asked. It's a little on the noisy side but not nearly as bad as some other restaurants. While not inexpensive it's a good value.“

Everything from the presentation of the food to the food itself ( delectable) to the passing of wine and dessert to the clean up ( she left my kitchen spotless) was exceptional. My guests could not stop raving about the food for the entire afternoon (and for days afterwards!). She was also very intuitive about what was needed in the moment. And she and her assistant worked completely independently so I was able to enjoy my party. I recommend her most highly.“

A huge factor was the staff at the Westchester Manor and how incredible they were. From the beginning of the planning process until the big day, John Gresia and his team made the process of wedding planning a breeze. John had recommendations for local vendors, in which we used his vendor John for the photobooth, and we cannot say enough good things! Aside from being a beautiful, local venue, the food and attention to detail were excellent. My husband and I had our reception at the Westchester Manor on November 11th, 2023 and it exceeded our expectations in every way! We received positive feedback from all our friends and family, which made it all the more worth it. “We just stumbled onto this place and were SO happy with the lunch. I had avocado toast with poached eggs. Every ingredient was fresh and flavorful. You can tell the eggs were very fresh, the fresh spinach was not overdone and the sprouts were brilliant.
