“We pass through the area regularly enough to have been here many times. The staff are all friendly, even though they don't know our names as they do for most of those who eat there! The breakfast items we've ordered are always properly prepared, and the coffee hot, but the one time we ate off the lunch menu we weren't thrilled and decided that in the future we'd stick with breakfast, which they serve morning and afternoon (we've never made it there the one evening a week they're open for dinner). They always have breakfast specials which are very reasonably priced and the atmosphere is a welcome step back in time so we look forward to returning.”
“Becky makes really delicious baked goods! I can’t stop eating them. Lol I highly recommend trying her baked goods! The cookies are soft and moist and so full of flavor!”
“this place is a historical gem!!!my swiss cheese chef burger with bacon was absolutely delicious! the bacon was crispy and not greasy. my husband had the western omelette that he enjoyed. the coffee was fresh, the place was clean and our server was very nice. if you are in the area and appreciate old fashioned diners you will enjoy this place. thank you to your cook also!”
“We came on a whim and the food, was delicious. We got the Buffalo chicken dip as a starter, it was super creamy and just the right amount of spicy I wouldn't get enough. Got the 12oz NY strip steak special, it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Also had the street corn pizza special, it was amazing! The service was incredible, she took such great care of us. I could not get enough of the food. Everything is amazing. This is a must visit place for food.”
“Staff was so incredibly friendly! I was helped by a woman named Nicole. From start to finish of my order, she was cheery and helpful which made the morning much more bearable. I will definitely be coming back!”
“My wife and I went here for the first time today. We had a combo plate for 2. Everything was delicious, service with a smile and reasonably priced. Will definitely go back again!”
“Have heard great things about Wayward since their opening. Finally made the drive to check it out ourselves. The taproom wqs delightful even on a rainy February Saturday. The reasonable ABVs and available half-pint pours enable us to try a majority of the styles on tap. All were absolutely top-notch. Beers were inventive and flawlessly brewed. The Kia Era (New Zealand Pilsner) was a favorite. The bias toward using local ingredients (like Hop House Honey in the Multiflora: Late Harvest) contributed to their overall appeal. To throw a cherry on top - the service was unfailingly friendly and efficient. A great stop-off and well worth the short drive from Albany. Can't wait to go back.”
“This is a lovely family-owned small business that provides delicious food an excellent service to our local community. You can order ahead or use their drive-thru are simply go up to the window and order your choice of fast foods and ice ”
“I never leave reviews, but the new owner of the diner have really made this a little gem. Amazing from scratch home cooking, with a cute atmosphere, and great service. Highly recommend that you visit.”
“Good food. Friendly staff. There's Maple syrup available for purchase but it is cash only. Generous portions. Not a bad detour off interstate 88.Kid-friendliness: No specific kid's menu for breakfast but all the staples like bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc.”
“Small operation with good brews in various styles. Does flights and has food trucks .Seems a little out of the way but is actually quite accessible via main roads. I was told the owner is a female veteran embarking on a new adventure. Tasty beer and worthy of your visit.”
“I had breakfast. The pancakes were huge, the sausage patties were large and tasty, and my coffee was frequently refilled. The place was filled to capacity when I arrived, but I was able to get a booth after a short wait. The service was friendly and my order was served by the cook himself. The menu is a little limited and (on Sunday, at least) they are only open until 2:00 PM. Schoharie is a cute little town and the Old Stone Fort Museum is well worth a visit.”
“Excellent selection of brews but unfortunately no flights. Best feature is the new outside area with a large gazebo. Food is the usual truck affair. Has a nice path by a pond and fire pits. A great place to visit on a sunny day.”
“I love so many things about this place. The owner is super nice and does alot to help the local community, they always have great music playing, the patio bar in the back is quite lovely, and they have so many vegetarian and plant based options!”
“Friendly people, great prices, always a good time! Pool table and free shuffleboard. Very good bar food, with 3 tv's and an updated jukebox. There are constant giveaways, party's and dj's on many Friday night. Worth the stop!”
“I have been wanting to come here for a long while not and finally did to celebrate my birthday with my mom. The most disappointing thing was all the empty seats around me. Our time slot was for 4 so my hope was just it being early in the night. The sweet Italian woman who served us was so kind and personable. It’s just her, her husband, and her son running the place. It’s a very unique and comfortable setting to enjoy dinner. Our food was delicious, it is near impossible to find somewhere that does frog legs so was a very nice treat. The stuffed Parmesan left my mom full and satisfied with left overs. Please go to dinner here, it is well worth it.”
“I've loved going to the Country Cafe for a long time now, and that's because it's great every time I go. It doesn't matter what you order, it will be great. My only recommendation is to ask them to throw the fries in salt and pepper after they come out of the frier. Otherwise, I don't change anything I order.Parking: Street parking in front of the business, either side of the street. Also a parking lot behind the building if necessary, or across the street.”
“Absolutely adore this winery! Even in these cold months of February, this was the perfect place to sneak away to the quiet side of town and enjoy amazing food & the best wine. ? We couldn't help leaving with bags full of goodies from the tasting-room shop! We can't wait to come back in the summer and see everything in full bloom! ?”
“Listen it's simple don't go here if fancy is your thing period ....Old school cool for me and my son in our opinionGreezsy spoon type place with an awesome breakfast at super cheap prices.... Sure service is slow but who cares as there is plenty to look at hanging on the walls and local people are great regular nice folk if you actually take the time to smile and simply say Hello . Me and my son got looks the second we walked in but it's small town upstate NY and we weren't from around there so what's the big deal ? Grow up it happens !!!The waitress is also the cook and there was only one other person working so maybe that's why it's super reasonable and easy on your wallet ...gotta give a little to get a little thats it ! Yep may be a bit slower then some may like but who cares ...it's not IHOP where they rob you for everything and costs you $60 bucks for breakfast for 2Sit back enjoy the food and the experience, and stop complaining about the obvious stuff anyone knows going into a type of place this clearly is even from the outside ...and that's not a bad thing !You won't get super clean , you may wait a little longer then your spoiled complaining type of person you are so shut your trap and be happy for once you actually found a place where the person who took your order and didn't even write it down gets your food ? and order correct !!Then when your done like the amazing older local woman sitting at the counter who set the right example for me and my boy ,get up pack your plates neatly and be nice enough to walk them back to the kitchen and put em in the sink like i then did too....Enjoy the different experience you were lucky to have and stop complaining !!!You went to eat off a highway not be pampered as if your a King or Queen and fyi you ever think maybe they picked up on YOUR ATTITUDE, which is maybe why you have got a slight one back ?Amazing food ,nothing but nice people and simply a different experience then you may be used too...and in closing THANK YOU for this little roadside GEM !!!”
“The staff is great here Subway is a place I go every once in awhile & when I do i enjoy everything about it especially the Italian Herb and Cheese sub roll...”
“The customer service is usually very good, the food is always fresh, but sometimes the order gets messed up. Always willing to fix it without complaint. The space is small so, I wouldn't suggest dining in.”
“Ordered the 12 slice Everything but anchovies pizza and large Cobb salad and it was the best I ever had and I’m from Ga here in town for work. I most definitely will be adding this place to my fav list”
“On a random whim I decided to stop in during a walk in some great weather we were having, just to grab a few doughnuts and that was going to be it.I got up to the register and one guy is counting the cash and coins, and is totally ignoring me. He noticed me come in, but didn't say hello, didn't look up to nod at me, didn't say jack. Eventually after a minutes or so a girl come around to help me, grabs the three doughnuts I decided on, and said i was good to go. (yes, I got my order for free)I think the reason she just let me grab and go was as an apology for the other guy being as rude as he was, and also that she made it sound that I would not be able to pay for a while as the register was being worked on. Hey, I made sure since I don't like to get anyone in trouble, but I won't look a free doughnut in the bag.Back home I gave the three a quick reheat in the microwave, just a dozen or so seconds, and, yeah, they were pretty acceptable. Went with a strawberry glazed, a coffee swirl, and a blueberry glazed. The blueberry was nice and cakey, the strawberry was sweater than I expected, and the coffee would have been perfect with a hot cup of Jo but was fine on its own.Was originally going to go with a three star rating for that initial unhelpful individual, but the girl afterwards brought this back to a solid four.”
“Literally one of the best meals of my life! Oh my goodness!! Old school recipes and cooking. Amazing flavor from fresh quality ingredients. These folks must go through a cow a week!”
