“Benkert’s is our go-to for everything bakery related. We’ve never had anything we didn’t love from them. We got our wedding cake from them and it’s truly the most beautiful cake I’ve ever seen, and I’m still getting compliments on how it looked and tasted weeks later. When we were ordering they were very flexible with flavors and gave us plenty of options, they didn’t say no to anything we wanted, everything was possible. You can tell they really care about what they do. You are in good hands with Benkert’s.“

“They were open on Christmas Eve till 5pm. Called in to confirm and someone quickly answered the phone.
When I arrived there were people waiting outside but wait was not long around 5 mins. They didn’t want too many ppl inside.
Service was great, professional. Someone recommended the silk chocolate cake and I grabbed some sugar free cookies for my mom.
Great service and a delicious treat.

I think once word gets out, it is going to be hard to get in! It is a little diamond in the rough of Sayville. I do have one complaint; no parking! I had to park the next street over. Not only the was the staff and baker patient and friendly, they made the entire process stress-free during a stressful time! We struggled to decide a concept before hand but the baker was able to guide us (over the phone with a family member there in person- so even more impressive) to a design and flavor combo that we hadn’t considered and ended up becoming our favorite. Our cake was PERFECT! We were able to pick it up and store it for a few hours at the venue and it kept perfectly. The taste, elegance of the decorating, and beautifully selected plump strawberries were the talk of the night and now an incredibly special memory and part of our big day! Highly Recommend!!“

I go especially for their fresh goods - baklava, spanakopita, tiropita, galaktoboureko, kourabiedes, koulourakia, melomakarona, etc. Everything is so fresh and so delicious. They have a small hot case with the spanakopita and tiropita, so you can get a piece ready to eat. The people there are so nice as well. Good variety of cheeses and frozen goods too. One star removed for convenience of store hours. They are only open during the day, Monday to Friday. I wish they would consider opening on Saturday, if even for a few hours, or staying open past 4pm a few times a week.“

“I used Fritzsche's as the baker for my wedding cake and they were fantastic to work with! The cake was so delicious and gorgeously decorated. It had 3 tiers; 2 vanilla cake tiers with strawberry mousse and 1 chocolate cake tier with chocolate mousse, with a buttercream frosting on the outside of it. All of our guests loved the cake and everyone was asking who our baker was. I'm so happy we decided to go with my hometown's baker as our wedding cake baker! Thanks so much!“

I had ordered a cake from this bakery and needed a gluten free item as well on the side . When I called to order they had confirmed that they always have gluten free cookies available, but when I got there this morning, I was told they were out . Also the person who packed the cake, just closed the box with a tiniest pieces of tape, no string etc. even though I had seen her pack another lady boxes with tones of string . Needless to say by the time I got to my place, the box was all open making it difficult to carry. When asked for a bag, I was told the box is not going to fit in any of the bags. There was absolutely zero effort for a good customer service. Never ordering anything from them again.“

“This is a very well-priced, very high quality, and very upstanding bakery. We bulk ordered hundreds of lbs of cookies for business gifts.
They have small bakery taste, quality, and service at commercial quantities.

The shipment packaging was very rigid and nothing came broken which was amazing (they shipped to CO). Even more amazing were the cookies. It wasn't just "different shapes and colors with massive amounts of sugar" like most commercial bakeries.
Every cookie had its own unique flavor and texture!

The packaging trays are also cardboard, with minimal plastic covering. Eco-friendly is a huge bonus!

We looked a very long time for a good bakery that was ethical AND put out a good product. Cookies United promotes employees mostly from within and their 'about us' video immediately sold me on purchasing from here.

We put our employees first and believe in turning normal jobs into careers and so does this place. That's how business should be.
