“I stopped in to Emilia’s Bakehouse Café on Walt Whitman Rd in Melville yesterday (they have another location in E. Northport) and boy, was I glad I did! I entered into a well-lit shop filled with pastries, scones, cookies, brownies, croissants, breads and quiches, etc. and was greeted with enthusiasm and a smile by 2 attractive young ladies. It was a great vibe just being there, very stress relieving. The chocolate brownie is perfection in texture and taste! The scones and peanut butter coconut power bites are delicious! Their organic Colombian coffee is the bomb, and you can get it with your favorite milk - for me it’s Oat Planet oat milk. Stop in, it’ll make your day! A feast for the eyes and tastebuds :)“

I would recommend to everyone to visit this bakery and buy the regular breads they offer, but the sweet ones as well- with poppyseed, cherry and cheese. Clearly, this prehistoric monster snuck in during the night (or, you know, during my five-minute bathroom break) and went full Jurassic Park on my masterpiece. Look at it—head tilted, arms outstretched like “Who, me?” while the house lies in ruins beneath its feet. The Nutella? It just added a delicious, humiliating glue to the crime scene. I said no my grandma had just passed away and family was in from out of state/country so i offered to bring pretzels. I said we would have celebrated her 91st birthday today and she said you know everyone on their birthday gets a free pretzel. This weekend's packages (8 pounds of family pack) "thin breast cutlets" were not so. Many were very thick, the length of each piece was aprox. 9" in length and some were as they should have been, thin and under 4 inches in length. The time before - same issue. “I recently visited El Paisita Bakery in Brentwood with a longtime friend who was showing me around his old neighborhood. This bakery was not there when he was a kid, but it is now right next to Tony’s, which was one of his all-time favorite pizza spots. After enjoying a slice there, we walked over and treated ourselves to a frozen horchata. It was delicious, refreshing, creamy, and perfectly spiced with just the right amount of sweetness. The place has a warm and inviting vibe, and it is clear they put care into what they serve. El Paisita is a great addition to the neighborhood, and I am glad we stopped in.“
