“Dropped in on a whim since parking was available out front. Manager said under new operations and building a new tapas style menu. Food was delicious, steak slightly overcooked but not inedible. Service was good and attentive. Late dinner on weekday, place was empty with only a few of what appeared like friends of staff hanging out at bar. Will not hesitate to visit again and see their progress, seems like they are making the attempt to have a nice resteraunt.“

“157 Tavern has been a staple in the area for 10 years and is an excellent choice for parties or group gatherings. You can simply provide them with your budget, and they will curate the menu for you, which makes the planning process very convenient.

Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

“I picked up food here for the first time and Auntie was so incredibly welcoming. She was happy to let me sample a handful of the dishes they were serving, all of which were delicious.

The oxtail here is just phenomenal. The depth of flavor of the gravy was such a standout. My rice and peas were covered in it and I wish I had more!

The jerk chicken was incredibly tender and the sweet and spicy sauces were a great compliment.

The fresh pine ginger drink is a must have and the homemade coco bread was pillowy soft.

The chef is an absolute pro here when it comes to salinity. The seasoning was spot on for every entree without any lingering saltiness.“

The waitress was ok the soda cups were empty but the cocktail weren't. The cocktails kept coming out but the soda never did.“

For the main course I had the lobster tails which were very tasty and cooked perfectly. My husband had the rack of lamb which he also enjoyed very much. “The best Thai food I’ve had in NYC - I’m speaking both as a NYC native foodie and as someone’s who’s had the same food made in Thailand - so trust me! Truth be told, my friend randomly chose this place on Maps, but we ended up truly loving everything we got and bookmarking this restaurant. For the appetizer we had tofu (crunchy and soft!) with peanut sauce, tom yum hot pot for the entire table, mango salad with salmon, green curry (which came in a cute little pot), and tom kha coconut milk soup with chicken for myself. Our entire meal was so filling and comforting. The drinks and desserts looked extremely good on the menu, but pricy for us. I would say that everything we ordered was worth the bill, though! They have some outdoor seating with shade, which I’m sure is very nice in mild weather, but the inside was so vibrant and cozy, full of colors and music. I am definitely coming here again!“

Danny worked with us to create a menu that was tailored to us and our guests and we got SO much food included in the package we did. He also worked with us to create table arrangements that worked best for our event. I was worried at first that the space only being partially private and not a true private room would be an issue but it was not at all! We really didn’t need it and were happy to still get to enjoy the Sinatra singer that plays for the restaurant that night. He even came over and sang for our party and had us dance which was not expected but a fun surprise that we loved! Overall we had a great event here and I am so happy we chose them to host it!“

“We had a wonderful experience at Peter's Clam Bar. The food was excellent, everything we ordered was delicious, and we really enjoyed both the location and the beautiful waterfront views. Unfortunately, because of the rain, the tables right by the water weren't available, but that didn't take away from our overall experience.
The only issue we had was that the pasta for our child was served on an extremely hot plate, and the server didn't warn us. As a result, our child accidentally burned their hand. I would highly recommend reminding the staff to warn guests when plates are very hot, especially when serving children.
Other than that, everything was great. We would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to visit again.“

“I came here for fresh seafood and ended up purchasing several prepared food items, since those are easy and looked well made. I tried both seafood and vegetable dishes. All were fresh and tasted delicious. I care about fresh seafood. Prices are not cheap, but with seafood, quality really matters. There also appears to be a sushi restaurant onsite, which I'll have to try next time I'm in town. Roslyn is fortunate to have several local gourmet markets and this counts.“
