“We reached about about a week and a half before our wedding to see if they had any times available for 25 people for a rehearsal dinner on a Friday in June (super last minute). They were extremely accommodating and placed us at two tables in the room on the second floor. Everything came out super fast, and they were really accommodating with gluten-free meals for some of our guests. We absolutely loved our meal here, and hope to come back again!“

“First time here for a private party and i cannot say enough great things about not only the food but the staff also. By far one of the best upcoming restaurants in the Hudson valley. The pizza was so flavorful, fresh with perfect crust n that’s coming from someone whose family owned pizzeria for years. Another must have is the house made penelle which aside from my nonna making it I’ve never had in any restaurant. Last but not least the cannoli were some of the best I’ve had in months. “Amazing food . If you’re looking for fresh delicious food then check out this place. We had the Arthur Ave salad , Chicken Milanese , the carbonara , the tiramisu and the mocha latte. All I can say is WOW 🤩 . Left with full bellies . The mocha latte was the best latte I ever had. The rest of the food was so fresh you will leave feeling full but not that gross full feeling . “I used to look forward to eating there. But the last two times I had the worst servers. One never came back to check after she dropped off my food. I had wanted a soda refill and another napkin, had to find her to get my check. Last night I came in and was told the kitchen was about to close so I needed to hurry up (I just sat down at about 9:25 pm). I ordered right away. An ice water and a coke and a meatball parm sub. I was lucky to get my soda with her attitude. No ice water was brought or acknowledged at all. I took a few bites of my food and she asked if I wanted a box. I was really irritated. If they told me to go only I would have been fine. But the way I was handled made me angry. I ate quickly and left. If I choose to get something again , it will be to go. Honestly, Caitlyn is the best server there. She is five stars. The others are not worth a dime.“

My union even has had pizza parties here. Best Italian food in the area! Love their pizza, their eggplant parm, and their stuffed zucchini blossoms. “What started off as a sad and somber day with the funeral for my grandmother ended with a very high note: after the visiting hours we gathered at Cappola's Restaurant in Hyde Park. This is a spot my family has been going to for generations. Well, when I was a kid I got dragged to some family function 20 years ago that I was very bored at. I wound up scraping plates and working in the kitchen that day (I was about 9 or 10 years old at the time.) I latched onto John Cappola's arm and was given a full tour of the restaurant, $5 cash for helping out, and a life experience that I will never forget! John and I took some pictures that day, I asked him to autograph a menu for me, and I decided I wanted to go into the restaurant business. He talked me out of it, which I was quite glad he did because I wound up going into coins and antiques a few years later. John, you showed me that day the value of hard work, the concept of what the American dream is all about, and how to hustle in business. Interestingly enough, John said he wondered what had happened to me just a couple of days prior to today! John's family started this legendary restaurant on Main Street in Poughkeepsie back in 1961. They subsequently went to open the restaurant in Hyde Park where he and his brothers still run it today. "Cappola's: a Hudson Valley Tradition Since 1961!" “Touch of Naples is by far the best pizza in the Hudson Valley. Anyone who thinks differently is unfortunately wrong. I’ve been going here for 38 years and the quality has always been unbelievable. Their old style Sicilian and grandma pizzas are amazing. The giant slice is a great value. And the selection of different slices at the counter is fantastic. Awesome staff very friendly reasonable prices. They don’t deliver, you know why… They’ve never needed to. It’s worth going there.“

We came down to this town after visiting Art Omi (an hour away), and stayed a night at a hotel nearby before heading back home. We researched and found many other pizza places in the town, and there are too many that looks good that it's hard to decide. So we asked the front desk lady at the hotel and she recommended is this spot.. so we tried!

I'm so glad we went with her recommendation, Pizzeria Bacio is SO good! It's the classic NYC pizza but with labor and love that you can taste. The soup already blew me away - all vegs are hand cut to cubes, the soup is not having too much flavors that's odd, but a cooked well yet not over cooked vegs and pasta soup. The margarita pizza is so well balanced. The dough is light, airy but bottom crust is crisp, the sauce is very neutral yet works well with the cheese being thinly cut, and the basil is spread evenly you can taste it every bite! We also got the lasagna and it's also not heavy at all! Real mozzarella cheese, perfectly al dente pasta, and the meat sauce is not heavy yet saucy.
Cannoli is not hard shell (like the fake, pre baked ones) and the filling is not cream but an actual cannoli filling!! Maybe I'm too dramatic for having real Italian and NY pizza...but sometimes even in the state of NY you don't get this quality! You can tell they made everything in house without cutting corner!

We did take out but the server at front was nice, and we can tell it would be nice to dine in. It was somewhat busy on a Friday night.

Sat outside on patio. Beautiful heavy white linen tablecloths and napkins. Daughter ordered turmeric spritzer 8.00 & enjoyed it. Son-in-law & I saved money by not ordering a beverage. Paul enjoyed the Il Giardino flatbread with vegetables! He said the Sicilian Cauliflower was not as good as first time, but was exceptional the 1st time they had it.
No non-alcoholic beer. Fried oyster appetizer was small. Caesar salad for 14.00 was okay. Bianca pizza was tasty with goat cheese, etc. Waiting for check, & he brought over dessert menu. So, I got
tiramisu to go for 11.00. Cup
size portion. Exasperated over prices, but nothing is going to change that. 116.78 plus 25.00 tip. Special occasion, & the quiet atmosphere outside was worth it.“
