“I have been to several Thai restaurants and this is by far is the best. My favorite is the chicken long song. They only do take out but you can get 1 meal and split it for dinner. Generous portions. Highly recommend checking it out. Very friendly staff.“

“We had a nice time at LULU Taqueria! They have a huge menu of Tequila covering all types and many different brands under each type. Beer selection was good and Margherita was nice amd strong. I had a Beef Enchilada and it was very good. They also had a cute little bar attached that would be fun to hang out at. We didn't because it was triva night and we weren't into that! So all and all a good experience! Tell em Dave sent ya!“

“On Valentine’s Day I ordered 2 pastry rings from the Fairport store. When I got there there was only one! Jay, I presume the store manager, solved my problem in a way that was way beyond acceptable! He is genuinely kind and considerate! Hats off to him! This will not be forgotten!♥️“

“Shared a pizza and a salad on a date night out. Salad wasn't the one we originally ordered but it was okay. Pizza was solid. Unique area. (Village Gate) Service was excellent. If we weren't in a hurry we'd probably have reserved early and ate at standard table instead of the higher chairs near the bar.“

“Holly made cupcakes for my bridal shower a couple years ago and I just reordered for my baby shower. The cupcakes are the best cupcakes I have ever eaten, hands down! My favorite is the chocolate peanut butter but we also had lemon raspberry and funfetti, they were all so delicious! They were also adorable and fit the theme of the shower perfectly!“

“It was apparent that the new owner Vickie wants to change the whole vibe and not for the better. She could care less about accomadting you with options & if you have any food allergies. I do not recommend Nosh, not the same restaurant and feel its a turn for the worst. One out of the four meals one was acceptable we had 12/14/2023.The waitress very sweet but felt she was as frustrated as we were. Vickie the owner made no effort to accommodate us and was almost rude.I will pass this along, is a small coummiity in Rochester. Any postive reviews you read are prior to Vickie taking over restuarant.“

“I’ll preface this by saying that I’ve had garbage plates from Dogtown & Nick’s (the OG). I got a half-plate, which was still a huge portion weighing probably four pounds, with mac’n’homefries and cheeseburger topped with the cinnamon (mild but tasty) meat sauce and “a little bit” of onions, mustard, and ketchup. This was BY FAR the most delicious garbage plate I’ve ever had. I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back here. And it’s less than a 10-minute, quick’n’easy drive from Rochester General Hospital (so skip the Wolfgang Puck despite the convenience). I will add that the young woman who took my order was kind and friendly. The meal “to-go” was ready in less than 4 minutes. And the food was delicious, not at all greasy—literally PERFECT“

“Delicious food, great portions! Drinks were also very good. Service was excellent with a very knowledgeable staff. Cool atmosphere but a bit small with not a lot of waiting space and since they don’t take reservations, it was a little cramped at times with standing room only while we waited 30 min on a Sunday evening for our table. The experience was worth the wait though and overall we really enjoyed it and would definitely return!“

“We planned a special dinner party for ten with the expert help of Mariel, who accommodated all our requests in advance. It was delightful to work with her. Sarah was our server that night and she paced the evening perfectly, with care and enthusiasm. The dining room was busy with a happy vibe throughout the restaurant. The manager Melissa took time to speak to me too. Our friends raved about the delicious food and creative cocktails. A+ experience!

“Some good news for a Sunday morning! Nancy and I have been isolating after a visit with our grandkids. We normally take our morning walk to Matilda’s for my red eye and Nancy’s cappuccino. This morning the doorbell rang and there was Gretchen from Matilda’s with our coffee! She said they missed us and wanted to check in with us! What a surprise! (She also brought an apple turnover (the best I have had)!) People, wherever you live, there are small businesses that depend on your support. In these difficult times, they need us more than ever. “Best cheesecake I’ve ever had in my life it is so so soooooooo good it is almost orgasmic, just thinking about it I am drooling 🤤 a mist try if you are a cheesecake fan ! Also tried the banana bread it is really yummy and those ginger turmeric bar are also really yummy. The bread is different a little like a pumpernickel I really liked it ! Love this place it’s one of the hidden gems of ROC glad we tried it ❤️“

“We used Caramel for our wedding desserts! My husband and I had a special connection to Caramel, since we had a lot of date nights there, so we knew we wanted them to be involved. They were very easy to work with. Very responsive over email. We did a little tasting box and were able to pick exactly what we wanted. We picked up the desserts the day before the wedding and they were ready on time. The mini desserts were perfect for what we wanted for our guests and SO delicious. My mom won’t stop asking if we have more carrot cake truffles hidden somewhere! They also did our small cutting cake which was delicious. Highly recommend them!“

“This is a really fabulous sushi spot nestled in Village Gate. They have a nice mix of standard fare and really creative rolls. Our favorites are Sunny Day and Sweet Potato Tempura, though everything we've tried on multiple visits is fantastic and fresh. They also have a really interesting and tasty Seaweed Duo Salad. For the non-sushi eater, don't hesitate to order their ramen. It is wonderfully prepared. Service has also always been friendly and fast. Special requests were accommodated with a smile. Prices are reasonable and the portions are good. If the weather is nice, enjoy dinner on their patio. This is one of our favorite spots in the city. It will not disappoint!“

A recently discovered gem for me. I ordered the prosciutto and mozzarella croissant , herby artichoke danish, and a cinnamon roll. It was all outstanding.
The croissant and danish were as delicate a mother coddling her newborn baby. So tender, light, and just so incredibly wholesome. It makes you want to have a newborn baby in your hands, it's that good.
And don't get me started on the THICC cinnamon roll. They are double cheeked up and topped with a non traditional icing that is smooth, a bit fluffy and a little messy ? the actual roll is soft and tender, just like ... well you can use your imagination!

“This place consistently does not disappoint. Inside you’ll find an unassuming counter line similar to a Chipotle, but this punches way above its weight. The decor is unique and the patio is lovely. Served on tableware with friendly staff. The food is absolutely outstanding. Easily one of the best restaurants of its kind anywhere we’ve travelled. Everything is super fresh and flavorful. We’re not sure what they do differently about their baba, but it is to die for. Their Veggie Sampler is a go-to favorite. Today we also tried the portobello pitza which had nice chunks of olive, onion, tomato, a vinegar reduction, and cheese with a lovely pull to it. We’ve yet to have a single item at this restaurant that wasn’t described as “outstanding” or “among the best we’ve had” for whatever the dish. Our only regret is that we didn’t try it until February 2023.“

“Crazy that folks have a bad experience here. This place was phenomenal. I sat at the bar and had a great steak with a bottle of Napa wine. Small talk with the gentlemen behind the bar about the area was very knowledgeable. My coworker had the pork chop which he rant and raved about the excellent flavor all evening long. Business brought me here, but rest and relaxation will bring me back. Thank you for the hospitality.“
