“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this establishment and the experience was a mixed bag. The food was absolutely exceptional, each dish bursting with flavor and well prepared. The service was top-notch as well - attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. I ordered a Cosmo and my friend ordered the old fashioned. The bartender did an excellent job and both drinks were delicious!

However, the ambiance left something to be desired. The decor felt a bit outdated and could use some modernization to match the quality of the cuisine and service. With a revamp in the ambiance department, this place could easily become a five-star dining destination. Overall, a great spot for a delicious meal with fantastic service, but with room for improvement in the atmosphere.“

“I’ve been to Mojo multiple times and have never been disappointed by the food, vibes, and service. Tonight we went there for my sister’s birthday and our server, Melissa was phenomenal. She was extremely kind, attentive, and charismatic. When I didn’t realize I left my jacket on the floor, she picked it up and put it on my chair and my sister left her headphones as we were leaving and she went outside to give them to her. She is the best! Next time I come I’ll be sure to ask for her!“

“It was my first time trying Empanada Queen, a food truck in Baldwin, and overall, it was a decent experience. They had a deal for 10 empanadas for $28, so I decided to try a variety. I went with shrimp, beef, chicken, and mac and cheese empanadas. The flavors were all pretty tasty, with the shrimp, beef, and chicken being the standouts. However, I wasn’t a fan of the mac and cheese one—it just didn’t have the right texture or flavor I was expecting.

The wait time was short, which was a nice surprise, especially since it was freezing outside! I was glad to have the car to wait in while the food was being prepared.

One thing to note is that the outer shell of the empanadas was quite hard, which made them a bit tough to bite into. On the positive side, the fillings themselves were flavorful. The only other downside was that they only offer one sauce, which had a bit of spice to it. While I didn’t mind it, I wish there were a few more sauce options to choose from.

Service has always been friendly so one could simply let them know that the food is cold. Parking can be challenging but not impossible.“

“The food here was pretty good. We had the paella and the arroz con Pollo. The first dish we ordered with chicken breasts were so tough. It was waayyyy over cooked. I could not even cut it with a knife. The service was good. The only issue was, when presented with the bill, the waitress high lighted the tip portion. As if we didn't see the calculations of how much 20 or 25 percent was. I found that tacky and distasteful. Please don't solicit tips, you'll get more that way.“

The guacamole was fresh and flavorful they put the perfect amount of lime, my fave. The fish sandwich was flavorful and crispy. The rice and beans were perfect. I'll be back again and again. “This place was amazing! I was transported back to Ecuador and felt like I was in the Esmereldas again. I had delicious ceviche and a guanabana milkshake. The staff was so nice. Music was playing and it was a welcome, cooling respite after a day at the beach. They were cash only but also had a Zelle QR code in case you didn't have any. I can't wait to come back!“
