Well cookies my favorite are PINK DOT BUTTER COOKIES, Well today I received a pound of them, not one broken In The box. I was in seventh heaven with my Irish breakfast mug of tea and my cookies. He was such a humble and kind soul and even offered for me to wait in the car to which he would bring out the food for us but we opted to wait inside for the food and had a great conversation and a few laughs. “It's been a hot hot hot minute since I came here after I moved to Long Island Suburbs. My son's big day today and I took a trip here to pick up my custom strawberry cake layered with their famous lightly sweetened freshly whipped cakes. When you step inside It's as if you step back in time. My mom first took me here when I was 11 or 12 and this place still look the same. The bakery captures a lot of customers from the surrounding businesses such as the hospital. It's great to see a flow a diverse crowd visiting this Gem. I also picked up half dozen curry beef pastry and their chicken rolls. I took a bite and taste just like my first time eating them in the 1990s when I was a little boy. When I want a good delicious healthier cake I come to Yeh's.“

I was ordering mochi donuts and debated picking my last flavor, when the lady behind the counter mentioned the s’mores flavor was really popular and that it didn’t contain gelatin. She saw me in a hijab and abaya and knew to inform me that I could even consider the s’mores flavor as an option. For religious dietary reasons, I usually don’t bother gravitating towards anything with marshmallow, as most places use pork gelatin. I left the shop smiley about customer service and trying a flavor I don’t usually have the luxury of getting. This kind of service where vendors are culturally aware is rare - even in a diverse city like NYC. Definitely was a first time experience at a place that doesn’t explicitly cater towards Muslims or halal eating customers & it meant so much!! “I stumbled across this bakery after having a birthday dinner at Mas Tortilla a few blocks away. It was a great find.

I ordered a cappuccino, 2 Grand Opening cupcakes, and a box of macarons for my bf and I to share and it was all sooo good.

The cupcakes had a passionfruit icing/paste that I could tell was made with real passionfruit on the inside and the cake was the perfect texture and moisture level. As good as the cupcakes were though, the real star of the show was the macarons. They were out of this world. We tried one of every flavor and I was not let down. My favorites were the fruity pebbles and the earl grey.

This is the same bakery that was immortalized at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, and has a cult following for its conchas, tamales and milanesa and pierna tortas. The Westbury location is also tended by members of Don Paco López’ family so quality is guaranteed. The bread is fresh, made daily (by hand).
