“We needed a place for a special dinner for about 15 people after a funeral. Even though the "fancier" part of the restaurant is generally only open at night, Danny (the owner) opened early for us in the middle of the afternoon. The food was delicious. The service was attentive, but not overbearing. This was important after a funeral because we all wanted to spend time talking and visiting with each other, not just eat and get out. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and antipasto plate for the table. Both were so good we had to get another batch of each. Everyone ordered what they wanted from the menu, so we had a wide range of dishes. Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy what they ordered. Good wine selection, too. They really took care of us. My husband grew up in the area, and because of his military service we’ve spent years overseas and away from home. When he talks about “home,” this is one of the places that always comes up. While stationed in the Middle East, this was the pizza we would dream about.

It’s one of the very first places we go whenever we’re back visiting. And even though I’m from Maryland, I think about this food just as much as he does! Now that we live in Maryland, you’d think the drive would feel long — but when we’re headed to Calabria, it never does.

The food is always hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We love everything we order, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming.

For him, it’s a taste of home. For me, it’s just hands-down some of the best pizza around. ❤️🍕
