“We made a reservation. The place itself was pretty. We were seated immediately and we already knew exactly what we wanted to order. We made it very clear that we were ready to order but none of the waiters came to us. The most awkward part is that the waiters were all physically near us- listening to their headsets. Yet they never approached us. They didn’t even ask us for drink orders. It was a very, very long silence. I almost would have preferred it if the waiters were not physically standing around us. When the waiter finally came up to us- we were very excited and placed our order promptly. Then- we waited- a very, very long time. Another thing to note is that we kept smelling gas from inside the restaurant. It was almost as though they had to turn on the stove with each order. It took the restaurant 1 hour and 20 minutes to get our food. 1 hour and 20 minutes from our reservation time. I have never waited so long for food. When we did get our meal everything was delicious but I really can’t tell if it was because we were absolutely starving or because it was actually good.
I keep thinking about this place and I truly do not understand what the issue was with the extremely long wait times for everything. Would not return unless the service time improves. Do not go there with children- they will starve due to the wait.“

“We always enjoy the food and drinks here. Luisa was a great waitress and we had a nice time there. The chicken champignon (mushroom sauce) was delicious and loaded with mushrooms. Great classic margaritas for under $10 with lunch. ❤️“

“The mostrito lunch special with the purple drink (chicha morada) is amazing. I also tried bistec a lo pobre & lomo saltado, which is also 10/10. It’s the best Peruvian food I have tried honestly. Briana is very courteous, well spoken & really knows her culture.“

“We ordered the 1/4 chicken with fried rice. One order with beans and the other with salad. Beautiful presentation and the food was hot, fresh and VERY good. Took off one star for service because we ordered tostones and didn’t receive them. It wasn’t busy enough for that small oversight to be made. Other than that, 2 meals and 2 soft drinks for under $35 was well worth the trip to this hidden gem.“

“Took my friend to dinner. Love Peruvian cuisine and thought we’d try this place. The food was excellent. Papa la huancaina and lomo saltado were on point. I appreciated that they separated the steak from the fries so they don’t get soggy (I hated that growing up 😉)

“Real peruvian food, all the identity & taste is there, they will not bring you tostones or frijoles with the polloa la brasa, big portions, great taste, friendly welcoming service, the owner himself is in the kitchen, guys l'm telling you, this is the place to be!!!“

“Came here tonight with a friend. Giovanni was fabulous. He gave us a few recommendations which was perfect for us as we had never been here before. We shared delicious jalea and had a drink which was more than enough food for us to share. The presentation of the food and drinks were both so beautiful followed by absolutely delicious tasting food. Will definitely be returning.“

“Live in the area. We have both taken out and eaten here. The decor is minimal. The food is excellent. All the usual items. Delicious chicken, rice and beans. A lot of other items on the menu. Everything was real good. What you see is what you get. We think its great“

“I came here today to eat. I am the only black girl in this restaurant and it was so great at first I was kinda nervous cause the atmosphere was like OK hopefully somebody serviced me, but there was a nice man here he’s in the front. He was the first person to notice me and greet me and he was very kind very sweet. He took his time with me. I just wish that the women were a little bit more nicer and inviting you never know who might come into your spot whether they’re black white or whatever you should acknowledge them even if it’s a poly Peruvian restaurant you should want to encourage all racist to come because money is money services service and food is food, but I did love the food and I love my time“

“Our first time at The Peruvian Corner but definitely not the last! We ordered that whole chicken to go and we was ready in no time at all, friendly staff and fun atmosphere inside and most importantly, the food is delicious. A+++, 10 stars.“
