“Came here around 12:45Am and got a triple mix platter. Just finished eating it and it was by far the best halal I’ve had. None of the other halal spots in the area even come close. If sesame seeds are a red flag then no worries the buns for the sandwiches are SEEDLESS!!!

The restaurant staff is VERY accommodating. I ordered the 3x3 (burger) and The Zinger (chicken sandwich) for myself and fiancée. The fries were a tad well done but still were tasty, we ate them up!!!!! I literally ordered The Zinger a 2nd time it was that tender and well seasoned!!! I decided against the hell sauce but next time I’ll give it a shot.

Speaking of tender, we also ordered the buffalo chicken tenders and WOW this is a MUST ORDER!!!

We started with the beef Bihari, and they were so juicy and packed with flavor—just the right amount of spice and served with this fresh mint chutney that tied everything together. The biryani, which was perfection. The rice was fragrant, and the meat was super tender, with all those spices working in harmony. The real star, though, was their Amazing Nihari. It tasted homemade, like something you’d get at a family gathering. The spices were bold but balanced, and the meat was cooked to perfection. You could tell they put real love into this dish.
And let’s not forget the naan—soft, warm, and just the right texture to scoop up all the delicious flavors. The staff was so friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. Restaurant is super clean, seating is ample and comfortable and the customer service is consistently top notch and impeccable. We have been here multiple times and cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. The chicken quesadillas are freshly made right in front of you and are always super fresh and delicious. The burritos and Philly Steak and Cheese also fresh and delicious. The chicken and rice bowls also equally fresh and delicious. If you have not yet tried Halal Mix, I recommend you try it as soon as possible. Super highly recommended!“

I had the Oreo Waffles with saucy tenders. While they overdid it with the Oreos which made the waffle very sweet, the waffle itself was tasty. The tenders were great, they put adequate amount of sauce and the chicken was tender.
Co-worker had wings and fries which he gave rave review for.

I had the pleasure of dining at Bakhtar Afghani Restaurant recently, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and the inviting aroma of grilled meats and spices made it clear we were in for something special.

The hospitality was top-notch. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles, and our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to recommend popular dishes. We felt truly welcomed, as if we were guests in someone’s home.

We started with the Bolani, a traditional Afghan stuffed flatbread, which was perfectly crispy and flavorful. Then came the mantu – Afghan dumplings filled with seasoned ground beef and topped with yogurt and split peas – absolutely delicious and delicate in flavor.

The highlight, however, was the mixed grill platter. Each skewer was grilled to perfection – the chicken kebabs were juicy and well-marinated, the lamb chops were tender and bursting with flavor, and the kofta kebabs had just the right blend of spices. Every bite showcased the richness of Afghan culinary tradition.

The rice dishes deserve their own praise – the kabuli pulao in particular was phenomenal. Fluffy basmati rice layered with sweet carrots and raisins, paired with tender chunks of lamb – a true comfort dish that felt like it was made with love.

For dessert, we had the firni, a creamy Afghan rice pudding, subtly flavored with cardamom and garnished with pistachios. It was the perfect way to end our meal.

The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Whether you’re familiar with Afghan cuisine or trying it for the first time, Bakhtar is a must-visit. It’s a place that combines authenticity, flavor, and heartfelt service in a way that’s hard to find.
