Decided on the samplers: double play or triple play based on the number of proteins (limited to pulled chicken, pulled pork, bratwurst or chopped brisket (+$2); can't double up on same protein). Served on a tray which made it look sparse. Bbq meats were good for me, tasty and not salty (usually saltier for me at other places). Prefer brisket not chopped though.
Came with 2 sides (each serving was a bit small) and cornbread.“

“First of all just want to say the lobster bisque and New England clam chowder are both amazing. My family and I have tried pretty much everything here and never disappointed.
They make there own juices and desserts. So it’s fresh just like the food. Everything cooked when ordered.

My daughter Victoria and I stopped by this Olive Garden at 1246 Old Country Road, and we had a wonderful experience. Our server, Ariana, was excellent—very attentive, friendly, and professional. The manager, Margarita, was also amazing and made sure everything was perfect.
The food was delicious and came out very fast, which we truly appreciated. We enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and the outstanding attention we received throughout our visit.

“We used Mama Soup catering for my little ones drive by birthday. An employee came and set up the soup kettles and sandwiches along with plasticware and to go packages. He was professional, quick, covid safe and so very nice. Not only did everything look great, smell amazing and taste delicious, it was the perfect set up for those who drove by and departed as well as for those who stayed. My family and friends couldn’t rave enough about the food. Those who stayed had seconds and even took leftovers home. The price was reasonable for the amount of food we had. I cannot wait to use Mama Soup again or just stop by for some wholesome goodness! Thank you for making my sons day so special.“

“This was the place I had my first açaí bowl, and I loved it. I am addicted now and come here pretty often. The fruit is fresh in every season, and the staff here are very lovely. For the people that have never been to this place or haven’t even tried an açaí bowl and want to, I definitely recommend coming here. 😊“

“Visited from Orlando,Florida and was in the mood for some Guyanese homemade food for brunch. We ate here and they had a wide variety of food options from doubles, cook up, bake and salt fish and various curries paired with The best tasting roti I have had in a long time. We ended it all off with some very tasty Pastries that are homemade in store. The owner Serita is very hospitable and made sure we had everything and that we were well taken care of! If you are ever in the Queens/Long Island area I highly encourage you to stop in for a hearty meal“

“My friend and I - both longtime lovers of Asian cuisine - were originally headed to another spot for lunch, but it was closed for a break until 5 PM. Hungry Monster was nearby, so we decided to give it a try - and we’re so glad we did!
Though the restaurant is small, it’s incredibly cozy and comfortable, with a mix of four-person tables and bar-style seating with stools. When we arrived, there were only a couple of teenagers sipping smoothies, so we practically had the place to ourselves. That meant we got the full attention of our wonderful waiter, Biscuit, who was very attentive and made us feel well cared for from start to finish.
We both ordered their signature dish package - I chose the soup-based seafood package, and my friend ordered the beef version. Each dish came served in a small cauldron, full of different ingredients and rich flavor. The portions were generous, so I ended up taking half of mine home. As a nice touch, they packed my leftovers in a high-quality branded bag with the restaurant’s name, which I really appreciated.
We ended our meal with drinks - mine was a refreshing grapefruit and lemon green tea, and my friend had a Mango Tea Yakult, which was fruity, creamy, and perfectly balanced.
The ambiance added to the experience. The decor combines traditional Asian elements with anime-style art, even on the bathroom door! It was fun, vibrant, and gave the place a unique personality. Pleasant background music played throughout the meal - it was noticeable enough to enhance the atmosphere but soft enough not to interfere with conversation.
Some practical notes:
• They offer delivery, and you can get a 10% discount on takeout if you pay in cash.
• They’re open every day.
• The only downside is parking - limited spots in front of the restaurant and no obvious public parking nearby. You can risk parking in the nearby plaza, but there are tow warnings posted. Thankfully, we didn’t have any trouble.
All in all, we had a wonderful lunch at Hungry Monster. The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch, and the whole experience felt welcoming and personal. We’ve been to many Asian restaurants before, and this one stood out in the best way.

“Some of the most amazing vegan food I’ve ever tasted!!!! Wow…Do your body and your taste buds a favor and go support this restaurant. I had the quinoa with samplings of the vegan ginger, citrus, and the tofu chikn bites….every was a 10/10. The chikn bites were so tasty and full of flavor without the tofu taste. “One thing I miss about living in Long Island are the Tex-Mex restaurants. Yes, they're not of the highest quality, and usually they're in a cheap location, and the horrible customer service is always a given, but I do enjoy the food every once in a while.

After searching for a Tex-Mex restaurant, I stumbled across Taco King. This location is actually pretty big with plenty of sitting space. My usual go-to dish at a Tex-Mex place is the Grilled Steak rice platter, so I decided to stick with what I like. I thought the steak here was excellent. It came with one flour tortilla, rice, beans, salad, guac, and chili. The quality and proportion was better than what I expected.

However, it was crazy expensive. I know I sound old, but I remember that only a few years ago, the same dish was about $8 or $9. Now it's over $17! I would gladly eat here more often if the price was cheaper.“

“An absolute and unexpected fantastic experience. The high quality food was freshly prepared and the service was so polite and friendly. They really understand takeout and pack the sauces and liquids separately so the food doesn't become soggy. The sushi and sashimi are prepared to order but they are very efficient and the wait time is not so long. Mizu is a huge step up from the usual asian takeout. It's restaurant quality.“

Its my 1st time ordering from Syosset location have always ordered from Hicksville but the seem to stop delivering to my area. Back to the sandwich. I always try something different, this time I tried the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and it did not disappoint. A sandwich is always last or mostly not even an option for me but this place makes me think about having a sandwich more often than I ever have. “Such a rare find. If you go on a Friday or a Saturday you’ll be treated to a live performance by a spectacular singer. The atmosphere feels like you’ve been teleported to Europe with authentic Italian cuisines. You’ll be greeted by the owner himself. “Discovered this place a few years ago with my friends that lived close by. Easily became regulars and kept bringing others to this hidden gem. I cant count the number of times i got no65 bun dac biet and the young chow fried rice. The meaning of the name of dish became very special to me when my friends left the country. My boyfriend loves this place and drives all the way from nj without me… to get the wonton soup with noodles. The owners are also so kind and warm— greeting us in korean 💕🥺 this is my favorite restaurant in ny— something about the food feels so comforting and delicious.“

“It's not dine in. I ordered on UE first but then started picking up to avoid all of the tacked on costs. Best egg rolls ever! They don't seem to reuse the oil so much that they taste off and they somehow have always made them so they're never dripping with oil. Obviously I haven't had a good egg roll in a while.

They also actually listen to preferences. I always ask for crunchy broccoli and am so disappointed when I get overcooked or soggy broccoli that will never reheat well. They have done this consistently. My go to Chinese spot now!“

“They make a really good sandwich here. Delicious traditional (and several imaginative) sandwiches round out a nice menu of choices that also includes salads. The Country Fried Chicken sandwich and the Cuban sandwich are excellent and portions seemed generous. My other half and I split a Country Fried Chicken sandwich on one visit and it was the perfect lunch.

Though there is limited seating, this is a take-out place, albeit mid- to high-end take-out (think Diner Boys). It is not inexpensive, but then you're not eating Jersey Mike's or Subway sandwiches here; while the dining area here is similar to those type of places, the quality, taste and style of these sandwiches are well above them. We felt the pricing was a bit high for what is a primarily take-out place, but we plan to go back to see about the raves on the Philly Cheese Steak and the Crispy Chicken alla Vodka, which we didn't try on our initial visit.

One thing to note if you don't order ahead: you'll wait longer than you might expect, especially for sandwiches like the fried chicken, which is obviously prepared fresh when ordered. We came at a completely quiet time (7:20p), and were just about to the point of asking when we'd get our order when it came out.

While the service was fine for counter service, we didn't experience the same level of service some reviews here have mentioned; it was simply a counter transaction.

Parking is street parking only, and is limited; we got there just in time to get one last available space on Merrick Rd directly in front of the business (there is a fire hydrant there, which limits the storefront to about 3 spaces). While there were a couple of spaces available on the side street, that was about all there was. I don't think I'd want to have to try parking there or crossing against traffic during rush hour, when this section of Merrick Road is jammed.“

The roast goose was perfectly crispy with juicy meat, the soy sauce chicken was so tender and flavorful, and the beef brisket hotpot was rich and comforting. “Absolutely phenomenal! Food was deliciously fresh and flavorful. We had a taste test of the coffee, CAFE DU MONTE from New Orleans with chicory which we learned that many Vietnamese migrated to New Orleans in the 70’s and found this coffee beverage to be closest to their homeland coffee in bold but smooth taste. NOTE: restaurant is relocating in early 2026 so be on lookout for new location. PS My husband had the Pho Rib Noodle soup. I call it the Pho Flinstone Beefer Upper soup. He used one word “Yanba-Danna-Doo!” We also recommend the corner French-Asian bakery on the corner.“
