“Sometimes you want delivery, but not the usual pizza or Chinese, and you don't want to deal with the gig delivery services and their fees. If you happen to be in these parts and are craving a burger, sandwich, hot dog, or a take on the locally famous "plates," University Hots has you covered. The food is good for college-friendly fare, and relatively inexpensive, and they employ their own delivery drivers and let you pay in cash when they arrive with your food. My burger was quite large and tasty, and the fries are a cut above other places I've eaten during this recent trip to New York to see family. Still hot and fresh, too, which is more than I can say for most Doordash-delivered food.University Hots serves a market that honestly, I wish more communities had a similar restaurant to serve. Because sometimes you just want a burger, you want it delivered, but you don't want to deal with the likes of Doordash or Uber Eats.“

The atmosphere is gorgeous with views of the lake and an elegant atmosphere. The icing on the cake was our server, Piper, who will greet you with sunshine and genuine warmth. She’s attentive and responsive, and she helped make our night perfect. I hope she is our server next time because she makes the experience top notch. “We drove just under 2 hours to Stony Brook State Park, enjoyed the day and then decided to get some food at a local spot on the way home and picked High Banks Tavern. The food was really delicious. I would love to eat here again. Very intimate little place with one server taking care of about 10 tables plus the bar and they had non stop take out orders. Our server (younger gentleman) was calm, friendly, and hustlin! Our entire party of 4 couldn't say enough about the cheese curds, they were some of the best we've ever had, two of us agreed. My chicken sandwich was quite good as well, the rosemary fries get the MVP award tho. I am not much of a potato eater but I love rosemary, so I rolled the dice and I think they might be my new standard for a French fry. I loved them. Crispy, warm, and tasty. HBT is a great little place I'd love to be a local! We also really loved the new establishment next door, If you are local or in the area go check out Lewiston Waffles. We couldn't resist when we saw one walk by the window while waiting for our meal so we made sure to save room. Great experience!“

“We finally stopped here for dinner last night. We walked in and got seated anywhere we felt comfortable. Then the waitress came over and got our drink orders and went over the specials for the evening. We added the salad bar to our dinner. Salad bar was overall good. Now our meals came out in a good time. We order a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and the cajun bacon blue burger. Let me just tell you both of the meals were so good and delicious. Burger was big and juicy and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich was cheesy and also delicious. Overall it was a great experience. It was kinda busy but also a lot of take out orders too. And the prices for our meals came out cheaper than expected. We definitely will be going back again. We want to thank the staff in the kitchen and our wonderful waitress for awesome dinner experience.“

“We are fish frying our way through Livingston County. My pops wanted to hop down to the south end of the lake and try the Par-keys.Definitely should be on your list. Out of way, friendly and immediate service. The food was very good. I had the large fish fry. I ate everybite, excluding the Cole slaw, which I would pass on next time for a different side.Bakers are not available and don't sit next to the door to the patio.“

“My elderly dad was having a fit about his Beef on Wek sandwich not being right, after I explained to him that it was, but two different management people very patiently worked with him on it three different times and tried to get it to what his expectations were. I was losing patience and never really got to eat my meal because I was attending to dad. I just wanted to thank you (at the Avon location) for helping me through this and not making it worse! “I highly recommend Peppermint's. I eat breakfast there once a week or every other week. I meet a few friends there for our breakfast meal. I find the interior clean and welcoming. I like the hospitality of the staff. The waitresses are friendly and welcoming... and always ready to help with any needs we have about our meal. God bless you all! 🙏🙏🙏“
