“We came here for an open house and I thought it was a very nice dining hall. It is centrally located in an area where dorms are for on campus living. The close proximity is very nice for students especially with western NY's long, cold, snowy winters. I felt the seating was a bit limited but again, we were here for an open house so the extra foot traffic may not be a good representation of what the day to day seating demands are. The food options were plentiful. They offered a food allergy friendly station with its own server and plates to avoid cross contamination. The Hall was aesthetically pleasing and clean. Everyone we met was friendly and ready to answer any questions we had. Very nice.“

“We stopped in for a birthday dinner on a Saturday evening and were seated immediately. The service and food were both excellent. I enjoyed their Bourbon Street Steak entree and would highly recommend it! It is served hot on a sizzling platter. The margarita that I had with dinner was also very good and reasonably priced. We have always enjoyed our experiences with Applebee's and this location is no different!“

“Consistently excellent food and service. Since we discovered Yard of Ale a few years ago, we have returned many times and never had a bad meal or less than excellent service. As people who love a good prime rib, The Yard of Ale is top on our list and always perfectly flavored and cooked. It is impressively tender. We always compare other restaurant's prime rib to theirs, no one beats it so far! We also really love the ceasar salad with homemadecroutons and dressing, the chicken french is good and the creme brulee is amazing! Sometimes we miss out on the flavor of the day because we can't get there until later in the evening, but there is usually regular creme brulee and many other amazing deserts to choose from, they do not disappoint! The bar drink selection has alot of variety, including cocktails like the carmel apple martini.“

“We drove just under 2 hours to Stony Brook State Park, enjoyed the day and then decided to get some food at a local spot on the way home and picked High Banks Tavern. The food was really delicious. I would love to eat here again. Very intimate little place with one server taking care of about 10 tables plus the bar and they had non stop take out orders. Our server (younger gentleman) was calm, friendly, and hustlin! Our entire party of 4 couldn't say enough about the cheese curds, they were some of the best we've ever had, two of us agreed. My chicken sandwich was quite good as well, the rosemary fries get the MVP award tho. I am not much of a potato eater but I love rosemary, so I rolled the dice and I think they might be my new standard for a French fry. I loved them. Crispy, warm, and tasty. HBT is a great little place I'd love to be a local! We also really loved the new establishment next door, If you are local or in the area go check out Lewiston Waffles. We couldn't resist when we saw one walk by the window while waiting for our meal so we made sure to save room. Great experience!“

“We finally stopped here for dinner last night. We walked in and got seated anywhere we felt comfortable. Then the waitress came over and got our drink orders and went over the specials for the evening. We added the salad bar to our dinner. Salad bar was overall good. Now our meals came out in a good time. We order a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and the cajun bacon blue burger. Let me just tell you both of the meals were so good and delicious. Burger was big and juicy and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich was cheesy and also delicious. Overall it was a great experience. It was kinda busy but also a lot of take out orders too. And the prices for our meals came out cheaper than expected. We definitely will be going back again. We want to thank the staff in the kitchen and our wonderful waitress for awesome dinner experience.“

“This is a great place to be, the staff and people who are there are friendly and personable. It is my favorite place to stop at when I am in the area doing scuba work for municipalities or just passing by. Our favorite bar tender was out due to surgery, but her replacement was just as accommodating. It is truly a place that you can stop in and feel welcome striking up a conversation with anyone at the bar. Absolutely a great time. I hope to attend a band event someday.“

“My elderly dad was having a fit about his Beef on Wek sandwich not being right, after I explained to him that it was, but two different management people very patiently worked with him on it three different times and tried to get it to what his expectations were. I was losing patience and never really got to eat my meal because I was attending to dad. I just wanted to thank you (at the Avon location) for helping me through this and not making it worse! “Great local spot for drinks and inexpensive bar food. Friday fish Fry's in particular. I'd give it 5 stars but the take out is always a little slow. Easily fixed by adding another pair of hands in the kitchen or diversifying a little from the fryer“

“Some of the best bbq I've had in a while. The ribs are divine. Baked beans are killer. Cornbread moist and scrumptious. Great flavor on the pulled pork and a nice sized slab of perfectly cooked brisket. Loved having 4 different sauces on the table to try. Bought a bottle to take home.We will definitely be back.“
