“Hands down the best mozzarella sticks we’ve ever had. We both got clubs and they were fabulous as well, lots of meat. I’m not much for their homemade potato chips though but to each their own??♀️. Overall this place is CLEAN, the staff is fast and friendly, and the food is great.“
“A nice break in the winter weather had us taking a drive in the country. We drove through Mt. Morris and stopped at High Bank Tavern for lunch. It was a terrific choice. I had the High Bank Burger, and my companion ordered the Beef on Weck. Sitting in the front window, watching traffic (and the sunshine) was a perfect place for a bite. Very tasty, and our server/bartender was super friendly. She was professional and very friendly. We're so glad we chose to stop here. ?“
“I visited Charcoal Corral with a couple of friends to try out their food. I was impressed by all the activities and meal options this place had to offer! On one side of the building, there is a restaurant and a variety seating areas for guests to eat at. On another side, there is an arcade and icecream parlor. To the right of this building, there is a stage where various events are held and in the back there are two large drive-in movies that you can visit during the summer! Me and my friends came to have lunch and ordered a pizza and a family chicken meal to share. The service was quick and there are plenty of areas where guests can take a seat and socialize. Our pizza was very delicious and the chicken was moist and cripsy (though it could have used a little more seasoning in my personal opinion). We also ordered a side of fries and mac and cheese and they were very good! If you come to this little town, you should defintely stop by this place!“
“Terrific service!! Excellent meal!! Had the Tempura Shitake Deep Fried Mushrooms with a Sesame Ginger Sauce and entrees were spot on. One complaint was we sat down to the table the glasses were dirty and unpolished water was still poured and served in them anyway.“
“This place is a local legend. I had the occasion to try it finally and I can see why. Friendly service, generous portions, reasonable wait time. I ordered a steak sub that was prepared just right - fixings were perfect, steak well-seasoned and juicy. Luckily they had an open table where I could hang out and enjoy my edible work of art! I thought the office was also on par and reasonable as well. I'll be back for sure.“
“Karen should be known as "The Mayor" of Wadsworth! Her Wadsworth Grill is absolutely the BEST place to meet "new" (and old) good friends, to eat home cooked food, and to experience that "family" feeling!!! Once you stop at The Grill you'll always go back!!!“
“Soup AND Salad WITH Bread, in addition to your meal ... in one word, YUM! Upon entry, we felt like we were stepping into a different dimension and simpler times. Candlelit tables and dim sconces on the walls provided a warm, inviting vibe. Surprisingly, the server who greeted us knew us by name and warmly welcomed us to the National Hotel. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and had a great sense of humor. The meal was coursed out perfectly and we enjoyed every bite. Stuffed mushrooms to start were piping hot and flavorful in a ramekin of butter. The hottest thing in Cuylerville was the freshly baked bread-in-a-bag! Perfect to get every morsel of mushroom soup out of our bowls. Usually you have to choose between soup OR salad, not here! We got a fresh greens garden salad following the soup! Our main entrées of steak were perfectly cooked to temp and tasted great with the red wine. The mashed potatoes were fluffy, flavorful and satisfying. Peanut butter and chocolate pie brought our experience to a close. To wrap up the evening, we got to thank the chef and her husband for an amazing dining experience. This is one of a kind gem and we look forward to our next visit. Bring a loved one, go for a special date night or just stop in to treat yourself. You will not be disappointed.“
“The best beer selection in town. A must-go for visitors. Great bartenders. Obviously the twisted tavern wings are amazing (undefeated best in the valley), and the mooshu egg rolls are delicious. But if it's Friday, always go for the beer battered fish fry. The side of veggies balances so well and they have perfect cole slaw.Edit to add: also very cool to look up the history of the tavern, originally called Hill's Tavern - amazing to realize people have been walking through that door for over 100 years!“
“If you wanna take some folks out to a fancy place in Perry, the lumber yard, is it.The décor is kitsch and the food pretty standard fare for a steak-houe-ish sorta place. 3 out of the 4 people in my party had fish fry, which was a lot of food. The last person had chocolate peanut butter cake, and they said it was rich. They were also impressed that the coffee came in cute little glass footed cups.Lots of parking.“
“We just attended our WNYMA banquet here this weekend. The venue was perfect. There was ample parking and a hotel next door. The food was good and the waitstaff was on top of their game. The bar staff were quick and friendly. The restrooms were big and clean. The lobby was nice and the large dancefloor was a hit. We had a great time.Parking: Ample parking for large parties. We had no trouble with our large party.Kid-friendliness: My kids tore upthe dancefloor. The bar offered plenty of cute drinks for the kids.“
