“Came here around 12:45Am and got a triple mix platter. Just finished eating it and it was by far the best halal I’ve had. None of the other halal spots in the area even come close. On top of that the dude who served me and cooked the food was extremely nice and helpful. Even at midnight, the food was hot and cooked fresh. Will definitely be coming back here often“

“Their pizza is the bomb! My compliments to the chef. The two gentlemen were very pleasant and courteous. The presentation of the pizza was neat and lovely. On my drive home from the restaurant, the smell was awesome, and I couldn't wait to get home, so I could dig in! The pizza tasted as great as it smelled. I will be visiting them again as soon as possible.
Just to update: I have visited them 3 times since my first time and I have to say their pizzas are great! I've tried three different varieties, and you can taste the difference being that it's halal, you can taste the difference in how healthy the ingredients are, you're getting better quality ingredients and better quality food. I take time out to drive miles to them just have their food because the service and the atmosphere it's always great they're so pleasant with you, they treat their customers like they're family that they haven't seen in a long time that they missed. The chef Gurbinder does a fantastic job and the presentation is always great.“

The flavourful meats with fresh veggies and feta, with or without sauces, all combined with the unique bread is a great new dinning experience unlike anything else. “Kandahar Grill is a great halal spot in Hicksville! We ordered the family platter, and the serving was more than enough for all of us. The food was delicious, and the staff were very nice and helpful throughout our visit.

“Halal Mix on Hillside Avenue in Queens just across the Nassau/Queens border is amazing. Restaurant is super clean, seating is ample and comfortable and the customer service is consistently top notch and impeccable. We have been here multiple times and cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. The chicken quesadillas are freshly made right in front of you and are always super fresh and delicious. The burritos and Philly Steak and Cheese also fresh and delicious. The chicken and rice bowls also equally fresh and delicious. If you have not yet tried Halal Mix, I recommend you try it as soon as possible. Super highly recommended!“

“This truck has been operated by Sammy in this same spot since 2010. The chicken over rice will cost you $8. The portion size was just right for me. The quality of the chicken and the rice was above average. The white sauce and the hot sauce were both pretty good too. I will go back for a combo plate next time to taste their lamb.
