“Came here around 12:45Am and got a triple mix platter. Just finished eating it and it was by far the best halal I’ve had. None of the other halal spots in the area even come close. On top of that the dude who served me and cooked the food was extremely nice and helpful. Even at midnight, the food was hot and cooked fresh. Will definitely be coming back here often“

“I have being eating halal food for the last 10 years. I am very lucky to found the best and cleannest halal store in New York. The gentlemen that served us was a real gentlemen and he's food was excellent ?. We were also lucky to meet other employees running that restaurant in a really great manner and I also recommend this place to everyone interest it on eating real good food. “Came in once last week and once yesterday, a bit later during the night. Since it was this late on a Sunday I didn’t expect the food to taste that fresh. Despite this, I still got my order tasting fresh and arriving quick (<5 mins) and could see workers diligently cleaning in the kitchen and a younger man wiping down all the tables, sweeping the floors and cleaning the bathroom. I had went inside the bathroom after he was done and it was spotless, something I would never expect to see from a fast food place. The manager was very nice and I could tell he’s trained his workers well. Will be coming agian.“

“Absolutely the best halal cart in the area. Plenty of parking to wait for the food. chicken is well seasoned. Both brothers working in the cart are very friendly. I always get extra meat for $2 extra, not really on the menu, but they should make that official option. I highly recommend“

“Kandahar Grill is a great halal spot in Hicksville! We ordered the family platter, and the serving was more than enough for all of us. The food was delicious, and the staff were very nice and helpful throughout our visit.

If you’re dining in, they automatically add an 18% tip to the total—but honestly, the service and hospitality deserve it. Definitely worth a visit for generous portions and friendly service.“

“Halal Mix on Hillside Avenue in Queens just across the Nassau/Queens border is amazing. Restaurant is super clean, seating is ample and comfortable and the customer service is consistently top notch and impeccable. We have been here multiple times and cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. The chicken quesadillas are freshly made right in front of you and are always super fresh and delicious. The burritos and Philly Steak and Cheese also fresh and delicious. The chicken and rice bowls also equally fresh and delicious. If you have not yet tried Halal Mix, I recommend you try it as soon as possible. Super highly recommended!“

“This truck has been operated by Sammy in this same spot since 2010. The chicken over rice will cost you $8. The portion size was just right for me. The quality of the chicken and the rice was above average. The white sauce and the hot sauce were both pretty good too. I will go back for a combo plate next time to taste their lamb. “This is one of the best gyro spots in NYAnd it’s because of their salad. All the extras except egg is included in the price. I got the chicken over rice with everything from their salad bar on it including the egg and pita bread on top. Excuse my picture I was hungry and could not wait for the picture

“Got the fish and had to wait a little since they had to cook it fresh (I assume not many people order fish). It was worth the wait because the fish was crispy and juicy. Price is great for the portion size ($10 for 2 serving sizes (though for a small person)).“

“I got myself a combo gyro at this cart and only paid $6 for it. It wasn't the heftiest gyro I've ever had but it tasted delicious with a strong smell of seasonings and for that price, you can't beat it. All the carts near me in South Queens are charging $7, $8 and one cart is even charging $9 for a combo gyro. The fact that this joint is pumping out good gyros for a measly $6 post inflation is amazing imo, but I don't expect the prices to last. This place isn't as highly rated as the Hamza cart nearby but during the time that I went, this place was easily getting twice the foot traffic of the nearby cart. Coincidence, maybe, but I'm happy that I don't actually live near these two carts or else I'd eventually need a wheelchair ?. As I write this review, I currently haven't received any food poisoning yet so there's that.“
