“I recently took a job a few miles from here and this is my go-to place when I get takeout, have been here 6-7 times in the past month. The slice selection is fantastic, a little different from the usual boring stuff found in other shops. *More importantly* the pizza is excellent, it's real Italian NY pizza much like you see at the best places downstate in the NY Metro area. \n* Their Sicilian and variations are amongst the best anywhere.\n* The regular slices (topped or plain) are nicely crispy & chewy, beautifully made.\n* Special note: they usually have one or two DETROIT style pizzas & slices ready for takeout and these are fantastic. Detroit style pizza is one of the great pizza styles in the US though rarely found anywhere else in the Capital Region. I think they nail this too.\n\nNo wonder they get the dough and sauce right - there's also a seriously good Italian restaurant as part of the business with a killer menu & cool specials board. I look forward to trying some of the entrees and definitely some subs in the near future. \n\nCounter staff and ownership are always friendly even when working really hard, and they're very efficient. Nothing but good things to say, this is a place that obviously puts a lot of love and care into their cooking.“

“Last night we played trivia and we had a new waitress named Abby. I want to give a shout out to Abby and Romo’s management for hiring her. She is amazing! I wanted to tell management in person but it’s busy on a trivia night. Abby was so friendly and attentive. She checked backed in with us several times during the night. “As an RPI student, I really appreciate the late night hours- in my hometown everything is closed by 10pm. $11.07 for a pepperoni and 2 cheese slices not too bad compared to other stuff in the area. Pepperoni slice wasn’t really heated all the way through but I was starving so still ate it quickly 😊“

“This place is so nice and the guy they had out front was awesome. Very friendly and good at making conversation that was appropriate for the situation. As soon as we walked in I could smell how good this place was going to be. The overall atmosphere was a really nice mix of casual and more upscale. Very nice seating arrangements and I loved the nice blue fake fire place. I would definitely recommend them. We also went during a time when it was not very busy about 4pm yet there were still a handful of tables full despite the unpopular time.“

After I pay I usually look at the wide pizza selection and enjoy it vicariously . The other things look good. As a good italian, who has done many reviews. As many as I come across. Sbarro's new ork style is quite good and if I was hungry for pizza, I would not pass it up .“

“I heard amazing things about Marisa’s so we finally tried it for the first time. We were originally going to get slices, but when we first walked in, there was no place to sit and have a slice. We would’ve had to sit in our car. The kitchen staff were not friendly, looked pretty miserable and had an attitude when we asked questions. Maybe it was the heat. It was a pretty hot day, but we decided to go into the dining room and sat at a high top by the bar because the dining room was rather small and they had reservations. Not a problem. The food was excellent. The bartender who was the waitress was so nice and personable. She provided a great service. She was attentive and very timely. My husband and I both ordered our own personal pizza which was a good size, we ordered the homemade mozzarella sticks and I had a house salad. Love the food! It was great. Our bill came to $60. We did not have alcohol. I don’t mind spending money on good food. We will definitely return.“

The pizza is solid, ask for little crispy if you want bigger crunch but to be honest you don't need it.
