“This place is very much not closed. New ownership since COVID so I don't think "Maria's" is in the name anymore it's just Tailgate. New owner is a ]nice young guy and customer service is good. This is a neighborhood townie type place which has it's charm. The clientele will be throwing around a lot of salty language late at night but it's mostly 50 plus so any bar fight is more likely to be comical than dangerous. Now down to the what's important. The wings are amazing and the home made blue cheese is incredible. I won't go anywhere else for wings in Guilderland. People I've come with have all been satisfied with their meals (burgers, nachos, salads etc.). Beer/drink selection and price are standard for a neighborhood bar. Even though there is a no frills vibe the interior was recently redone and it's nice and clean.... this isn't exactly a dive bar. Stop in for the great wings and you'll more than likely meet some fun characters while enjoying your quality meal.“
“I had the most fabulous chicken milanese dinner here . The chicken was cooked to perfection & the portion was more than generous . The pasta was loaded with garlic ( most places charge extra for it ) If you want oil & garlic , & even then, they barely add it when it’s in place of tomato sauce . But not here . We sat at the bar & the bartender was very friendly & accommodating . The drinks were great & there’s enough tvs to watch if you want to . But he prices are very reasonable also . The restaurant is clean & spacious . We didn’t have a reservation but probably would advise if f going on a Friday Saturday night . I recommend it here for delicious food, friendly atmosphere.“
“My bride's family are generational customers of the original Orchard Tavern. I've been going since the late '70s after football games at Bleeker Stadium. The present owner has expanded to this new site on Western Ave (formerly Dorado's) in front of Star Plaza. A lot of renovations inside - new bar, open floor plan, bright & airy. They also have the big room on the side for events & parties. We had a drink at the bar as we waited for her brother & sister-n-law. Friendly bartender (short in stature - no name given, no name tag. People at the did have apps in front of them. When we were all present we were seated immediately. I missed the waitperson name - sorry. As per tradition the go it was Orchard pizza & chix wings. First the pizza - original style Orchard pizza which is a thin, crispy, 10 cut. They start at $10. for a cheese pizza -your choice of 18 toppings are $1.50 each. They also have white, vegetarian, & 12 speciality pizzas, such as buffalo chicken & shrimp scampi. We had three pizza at our table, half taken home. Wings are $13. for 10 in seven flavors w/ celery & blue cheese. Always consistently tasty and always cooked correctly - crispy skin and cooked through to the bone. Great job. NOTE: On your actual birthday the Orchard will treat you to a wing for each year of your age (in house only).I went for something different. I ordered a Philly cheese steak ($13). When it came out it looked fine to me, but the owner came over and said it was not the way he told his staff to make it. He offered to make a new one but I was OK w/ this one. Maybe it was the cheese on the bottom instead of on top? Flavor was great though. The owner came back, apologised again, and said he was taking my sandwich off the bill. That's how you take care of your customers. Excellent customer service from ownership down to all employees. This is how you get a loyal customer following. Thank you.We had beer & wine w/ our dinner. Full service bar is available.Hours are 12pm-8pm everyday. Family friendly dining. We will be back soon and thanks again for the great service. You should be proud.Nick & Liz, Albany, NYKid-friendliness: Family friendly. Dining area separate from bar.Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair accessibility from parking into restaurant.“
“The online menu must be years old considering there's an $8 difference between the prices there and the actual price of a medium pizza. Seems a bit of a bait nd switch situation. But, the pizza was excellent. Can't speak to the wings since I had to decline them considering the price difference. I guess the inflation is happening so fast they can't keep the online menu updated.“
“New favorite Italian place. You can tell it’s been here a long time and loved by locals. The staff were incredible. The food came out super fast. You can definitely taste it’s homemade. Literally the best pizza and pasta I’ve had in a long time. Pizza is like NYC style. Big menu, decent amount of tables, beer, great prices for big portions. We got 2 slices of pizza, chicken parm, pasta with vodka sauce for $35. The portions were huge. Just awesome food. And again, the staff went out of their way to bring us bread and package up our left overs for us. Exceptional and will be back“
“This place is outstanding!! I had a great sandwich that was quick, fairly prices (really got my money's worth), and most importantly, it was delicious! Fresh and tasty bread, great cold cuts and crisp veggies. I didn't even try something from their beautiful selection of pastries and salads; but now it's a goal of mine. I'll certainly by back for much more. Thank you so much for the great meal. I'll be back.“
“My dad used to work in downtown Albany and would bring home the most amazing rolls from Nino's Bakery when I was young. My husband and I recently went to find those same rolls that would stand up to meatball subs, Philly cheesesteaks, and such.. Found them and I will be going back every time I need a sturdy, chewy, soft, delicious roll! Oh and I have to go back because she mentioned they fill their cannolis fresh when you order!“
“5 star pizza. Place is no frills, but clean and welcoming. Everybody was pleasant to deal with. And when I tell you the pizza is great…..THE PIZZA IS GREAT. It stands out in all categories, texture, taste, quality just fantastic. We had a margherita with prosciutto. Can’t say it enough times, it’s a spectacular pizza. Give them a shot!“
“Super Sbarro! Staff is laid back, like to talk and straight-up oven bakes and knocks out flavorful pizza, dough, salads, calzones, desserts, drinks, garlic knots. A meal (calzone, drink, 1 side) runs you $13. That's a steal considering when you go out to eat these days your entree has shrunk %65 and on top of that you're forced to subsidize wait staff's 'bizarro' life choices + college tuition!NOT AT SBARRO! Some days they have free samples. My calzone was a total success. Food establishments in 2023 are shrinking sizes, leaving out ingredients, serving expired foods and over-shelved beer nobody wants. Without me.I'm coming back to Sbarro in Colonie again this weekend: great deals, flavor-punches and delightful service by tough-as-nails New York pizzaiolos!Rebel review: 5++“
“Went to get some shawarma and ended up leaving with some pizza. I was shocked by how good the pizza was. Easily one of, if not, the best I have had in Albany, and the prices were terrific. The chicken and steak Shawarma were also delicious, as was the chicken over rice dish. The woman who took our order was very polite and friendly and our food was ready to go very quickly. Overall, great experience and great food. Reminded me of the pizza I grew up eating down in New Paltz. Definitely recommend this place if you like great ny pizza and great prices.“
“Love this little hidden gem! Stopped by for the first time yesterday and it definitely won’t be the last. Nonnas kitchen family vibes, absolutely delicious pizza, salads and subs, incredibly fair prices, you can’t go wrong! Can’t wait to go “
“At a time when restaurants are scaling back on ingredients, portions and quality while charging more for meals, The Ritz On Union does just the opposite. I enjoyed a tasty ragu dish over papperdelle pasta. The portion was sizable and the pricing was fair.“
“Been going here for 20 years plus..our family loves the 24 cut square pizza, the dough is awesome and they have a great tasting sauce. My sister came from Florida and wanted their pizza..they stayed open and made the pizza for us as she was leaving the next morning.. awesome customer service“
“Fatty’s recently prepared a selection of pizzas, wings and appetizers for a substantial SuperBowl party. The selection of pizzas, wings and appetizers were a huge hit! I certainly plan on calling them to cater my next event.I would highly recommend Fatty’s to anyone who is looking to cater an event or just enjoy a truly top notch pizza.“
“As a first-time pizza customer, I found the thin crust pizza to be delicious, with a perfect balance of toppings and a crispy texture. The delivery was reasonably fast, and the driver was competent and courteous. However, the store-bought mass-produced cake slices offered as dessert were a bit underwhelming compared to the quality of the pizza.“
“We recently had pizza, chicken tenders and antipasta from Inferno Pizzeria. (Lishakill Road). The pizza was fresh and so delicious; the chicken tenders were moist and tender; and the antipasta was over the top. Enjoyed everything.....can't wait to go back.“
“I know the hostess Joanne very well and the waitress Trish and Nadine as well. All are so friendly and service is great. Food is excellent especially the pastas. I’ve been there dozens of times and going back again Wednesday February 21. I’m sure it will be great. I recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves Italian food!!!!!“
“Alibaba is a gem hidden in the rocks. I can't express in words how delectable the butter chicken pizza is! The taste and texture just explode in your mouth leaving you both satisfied and yearning for more. I highly recommend their pizza!“
“Went with family for dinner. I'm gluten intolerant and there weren't many options for me and the option of a gluten free pizza was off the table as their pizza oven was down. Aside from my dinner everyone in our party was happy with their meal.“
“Seafood lovers will be happy and the prices were pleasantly low for what you typically see for a quality seafood dinner. Any seat in the front room has a beautiful view! We would love to visit again when the weather is better. They have a beautful view of the river with a patio. We hope to be back soon“
“Forts Ferry Farm (FFF) is hard to define. It changes from season to season and as a farm, that seems befitting. For Fun Foods, now shuttered, used to offer prepared and frozen foods on site. There was also a selection of produce from the farm and pantry items like extra virgin olive oil sold in their store. Issues with the town of Colonie put an end to that venture. Not to worry, FFF, has a presence at both the Delmar and Troy Farmers' Markets for retail. They also have farmers' market pop ups at the farm on occasion. They seem to have a burgeoning wholesale market with several restaurants in the area. The wholesale market is open to everyone using the fortsferryfarmwholesale.… website. I believe they have plans to open a retail store in Hudson. I once emailed a question through their website about mycology (watching too much The Last of Us) and one of the owners, Emma Hearst, replied almost immediately to my question. Both she and her husband, John Barker, are chefs. I believe their restaurant's name in NYC was Sorella. They moved back upstate to grow food and share it with their community, both fellow chefs and consumers. The produce grown on the farm is top notch. I remember eating different heirloom tomatoes from the farm. It was simply cut, drizzled with a little olive oil, and sprinkled with a pinch of salt. The taste of those tomatoes defines summer. Another discover for me was honeynut squash. It has a thinner skin which is edible and the flesh seems much sweeter than butternut squash. The salad mixes are generous and bagged for convenience. The ginger they're growing seems to be a different varietal. They offer the tried and true classics but also venture out to offer different options to their patrons. The brand of Forts Ferry Farm is managed very well. They have both designers and farmers on staff. Check out the photos created by the staff on this site, they're gorgeous. I believe their cookbook will also be out for sale soon. Whatever Forts Ferry Farm grows into, I'm sure it will be innovative yet also founded on cultivating "goodness".By the way, if you ever have the opportunity to get one of their salted chocolate chip cookies, do not hesitate. Honestly, it's probably the best I've ever had.“
“I ordered garlic, Parmesan wings from Dutch's Place for lunch today. The wings were even more tender than any other place I have tasted them. And the garlic and Parmesan permeated the wings as well. The only thing missing was the blue cheese sauce. I called Dutch's and they said that I didn't have it listed on my order. I then checked my phone, saw that it was indeed on my order and called GrubHub to confirm it, indeed it was on the order they had. It would've been an extra boost to the wings, which needed no additional support, but would've kicked things up a lot . GrubHub gave me $3.24 off of the bill because of this which was pretty nice. Minus that though, everything was pretty good.“
“We went to dinner at Scotti's recently and it was incredible. I had the Veal Gaetano and my wife had the Chicken with white wine. Both were superb ....the veal tender and perfectly cooked and the chicken moist and delicious. The sides broccoli and linguini were an excellent complement to our dinner. To top it off we had the tiramisu and it was easily the best tiramisu of any restaurant we've visited. Kudos to the owner and staff for a great evening!“
“I live maybe 5 minutes away from here, I always like to try new foods. I mentioned to my boyfriend about the galleria and how we should go! So we did. And I'm so happy we did! They all all kinds of food here. Walking in to this place was definitely a welcoming vibe. All the different vendors were ready to help you & so nice! My boyfriend got a burrito & I got crab ragoons, spicy tuna tar tar & a salmon roll. We had NO complaints. The food was delicious! Definitely will be coming back here.“
“We have been going to upper crust for 5 years since moving to the area. Literally our favorite pizza place! We often compare how better the pizza is here compared to other pizza places in the area and especially when traveling to visit family and friends.Good job upper crust team & thank you ?❤️“
“A Super Bowl Party to Remember Thanks to Poppy's Pizzeria! We won a catered Super Bowl party from Poppys and it was an absolute hit! From the moment we placed our order, we knew we were in for something special. The pizza was simply amazing – each slice was a perfect blend of flavors, with just the right amount of toppings and a crust to die for. Not to be outdone, the garlic knots were a delightful surprise, earning rave reviews from all our guests for their perfect balance of garlic, butter, and parsley. Oh wait, the wings! They were also amazing. Perfectly cooked and tasted great. Most importantly, everything arrived right on time, which is crucial for any event but especially a Super Bowl party. The team at Poppy's made sure our food was hot, fresh, and ready to enjoy just before the game started, ensuring we could focus on the fun and excitement without any distractions. If you're considering Poppy's Pizzeria for your next event or just a quiet night in, I cannot recommend them enough. Their commitment to quality, punctuality, and customer satisfaction truly stands out. Thank you, Poppy's, for making our Super Bowl party one to remember!“
“Had the double pepperoni Sicilian. It was so delicious!!! Best pizza I've had since I moved to NY 8 years ago. Can't wait till they open up the Voorheesville location. Then I'll only be 2 minutes away instead of 20.Parking: If you get there before the rush there's plenty of parking, otherwise you would have to park in the shopping center across the street.“
“Surprising Bar food.Rare Russian… sliced steak on a hoagie with sautéed onions, motzz cheese and Russian dressing. Side of fries. Both the steak & fries were hand cut and seasoned well.Friendly staff, reasonably priced, good bar service.“
“Very good food. Ordered during a snow storm and went to pick it up. When we got it home the order was quite right. I called and spoke to the owner and he was so nice remade my husbands dinner and delivered right out to us himself. Highly “
“We drive all the way from Cobleskill for their pizza and wings . Very friendly staff. The pizza and wings are REALLY GOOD. Even warmed up the next day . I usually don't like reheated pizza and wings ..but these are just as good as when we picked it up fresh. Worth traveling for if you wanna pick up a good pizza . Very good prices too. We are going to try a few of their entrees the next visit . Please support this small business they are well deserving.“
“I thought the pizza was really good compared to other local options. When I walked at 11:45 am on a Tuesday, the bar area was full of people while the rest of the restaurant appeared empty! Super noisy! Maybe there was an event or business party? Seemed like a good sign. Since I was picking up, I just walked over to the cash register and pulled out my cash, since there was a sign notifying you of a 3% surcharge on card charges. Pizza came out hot and smelling delicious! I ordered a large but since there is thick crust, and a 8-slice pizza, it seemed to be what a size medium would look like. The crust was flavorful and crispy on the bottom, but chewy on the sides and top. The crust was thick! There wasn't a lot of cheese grease dripping off, which is a good thing. I felt that the sauce was bland and not very thick, so a little disappointed about that but it wasn't a deal breaker. At $2.50 per topping, the toppings were well-distributed and fresh, so that was good. All in all a very good pizza. It was around $26 for a "large, three topping, 8-slice pizza, for take out" and we really enjoyed it especially since many of the other pizza places near Niskayuna/NE Schenectady are don't sell the style of pizza we like. I understand the positive reviews and happy to have discovered this place close to home.“
“We haven't been to the pub in a few months. The food is definitely as good as it was before. Would love to see District 6 back on tap. The atmosphere was lighter and not so tense.Kid-friendliness: There are tables and bar setting and there are kid dishes available.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“A great family owned place. Super nice staff, great food, and an awesome atmosphere. I bring my son here for slices and we don't even make it to the counter without everyone greeting him and waving or coming up to give him a fist bump. We love places like this. They do pick up, delivery, and have dine in seating. Always clean, always fast , always polite. Thank you guys. If you're in the area yah gotta stop and check it out.“
“Pizza was real good.Wings were also good.I typically go to another pizza place in glenmont. They couldn’t fill my order until 2 hours from order placement. (Friday night)Went here instead, pleasantly surprised. Will certainly be coming back!“
“Best. Favorite. Restaurant. Ever. Anytime we make a trip to Albany we go to Lanie's. Their drinks don't compete with anywhere else and don't get me STARTED on their food. Their coconut shrimp is the best hands down and their sauce for it is rich with coconut and pineapple chunks. If you're ever in the area - it's a MUST go. It does get busy and they don't take reservations, but do have a waitlist. Service is great, never had a bad experience here.“
“La Famiglia nails it every time with their pizza and wings. We've done the rounds at other spots in the capital region, but we always circle back to what we know is the best. It’s become such a favorite that it's our tradition to order from them every Halloween.?“
“Worth the drive.I Love this place. The pizza’s are fresh made to order. The Sicilian is Amazing. They have killer chicken fingers. Their subs are amazing. Packed with fresh sliced meats and cheese. My son LOVES the fries and the Raspberry cheesecake.Take the ride down 443. Clarksville is a beautiful little town and the Best Deli in the Capital district.“
“I'll always have a soft spot for Navona. My dining experience is always great - food is spot on every time even when they're totally slammed. They stay busy but the service is timely and the servers check up frequently to ensure I have all I need. Regularly I dine alone but all friends I've brought with me have enjoyed it - especially the pizza. The inside is cute and the decorations are interesting. I enjoy the lighting as it's not too overpowering which I am sensitive to. The owner is friendly and can be seen chatting with people who are regulars which just goes to show it has the homey, family feel, very personalized. The servers know my order because I consistently get the same thing and dine there so often which is not necessary but sweet. You won't be disappointed - try the pizza and if that's not for you then the bruschetta or focaccia with ricotta, they're all delicious. For dessert I recommend the chocolate mousse - very sweet and rich but totally worth it!“
“First time in Schenectady and we wanted to find a good, LOCAL-recommended pizza restaurant. We inquired at the Front Desk about Pizza King (PK) because it wasn't far from our hotel. The Front Desk person didn't hesitate in recommending PK. We immediately headed to PK and found "PIZZA HEAVEN". Customers are greeted with outstanding menu choices ranging from a huge choice of pizzas to salad, calzones, subs, etc. We tried pizza (cheese and spinach) by the slice and it was outstanding! The prices are well within reason and the food was top quality. The counter person wasn't the most cordial guy ever but the pizza made us forget that part of the visit. The restaurant was clean and the environment on the early Saturday evening we went was pleasant. It's best to pay with cash. Credit cards are charged an extra 3+% (service charge). We'll be in town long enough to go back to PK for seconds. ?“
“All i can say is BEST PIZZA EVER! My son and i stopped into pizza buono for our first time tonight and i don't think I'll ever be able to eat pizza from anywhere else after eating here and i love pizza! The lady who i assume is the owner was absolutely knowledgeable and conscious about the ingredients used in their products! Such a friendly atmosphere, my son and i can't wait to go back so we can try their elderberry syrup! We live 40 mins away but hands down will be our new pizza place! If i could give pizza buono a 10 star rating I would without question!“
“I went in yesterday and they were closing. I completely understood and told him I wasn't from here and left. The chef came out and offered to make us a fresh one. Which was amazing and so was the pizza. Anytime I'm back in this area I'll only get pizza from here. Top notch service food and people.“
“This place has all sorts of delicious food options. We generally get takeout pizza but the salads and sandwiches are also delicious. The place has a local and friendly vibe and is always full of happy people. Highly recommended!Parking: On busy nights, it's hard to find a spot.“
“Tried this place for the first time the boneless wings were really good the pizza was good but not the best its a little too thick maybe next time ill get a regular pizza I ordered a 24 cut and the meatballs and sausage topping couldve been better also got some sweet treats strawberry parfait(delicious favorite thing out of everything!!)and double fudge Brownies(delicious)and donuts(delicious)not just a pizza place but they also have a bakery section was a little expensive but id go back again“
“Review from a foodie everything here is delicious I am really not a fan of toasted subs but now I totally understand why the bread is toasted lightly. The submarine bread is fresh . The wings are amazing and the pizza is delicious as well it isn’t too thick or too thin and it has the perfect balance of cheese and sauce . You won’t be disappointed with this business. I plan on visiting again and trying something else of these menu .“
“This place almost has a neighborhood bar feel to it. Simple and classic bar food. The biggest positive is the prices for the food and drink. We had a burger, sandwich and a small pizza which were all fine plus a few drinks and the bill was $20 less than expected. Add in great golf cart views and we will be back.“
“I ordered a pepperoni calzone, I had a special request that they could brush it with garlic butter sauce , they did that for me . The calzone was huge and the toppings actually went end to end !! Seriously, !! I called back to tell the guy , this is my new calzone spot !!! Well done highbridge !! Well done definitely 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I’ll be back or order delivery agin for sure !!“
“The food we ordered was some of the best Italian food we’ve ever had. Many many years of eating out at home on Long Island and all over the country. If you’re nearby you really should eat here.A cheers like atmosphere with high quality foodThe cheese ravioli was perfectly cooked in a nice sauce. My wife and I shared a penne sausage marinara that was world class. Nice sweet flavor and just a little spice at the end.The bread was warm and fresh. The whole staff was so kind. So many waitresses stopped by to drop off food or take something away or even just ask how things were. When we come thru we will definitely come back.!!!“
“This place is a gem. Ran by an older couple who makes great food. Originally, came here for the chicken wings. They are very good! The chicken parm on ciabatta bread is another great item that i love here. Come here and support. You wont be disappointed!“
“This is a nice late night spot to get something to eat. It was very nice inside and clean. I like my wings saucy I asked for them like that and some were saucy and some were dry that’s why I took off one star. The pizza was good I would definitely come back.“
“My favorite place in the 518 for Pizza. The wait is worth it! Thin, crispy and fresh tasty ingredients. Closest to NYC style you can find upstate. Best to call in the morning for a pick up time. Only open 4 days a week. 7.9 from El Presidente. Good stuff!“
