“This restaurant is a jewel in downtown New Rochelle. It is the second outpost of people who know how to handle this cuisine — which is both healthy and delicious! They have a wonderful lunch special. All of their food is great, but I particularly recommend the lamb chops, the lemon chicken soup, and the beautiful, piping hot lentil soup I have just ordered on this gusty March day. This place is frequented by people who know good food. It is a family business in every sense of the word. There are pictures of the family in Greece and— whether you have been there or not— you will be transported and inspired.“

“What a delicious, pleasant surprise this little restaurant was! When I walked in I honestly didn't expect too much because it was small and completely empty, and could have been a little cleaner. However the food was outstanding, and I am VERY picky. My friend and I split a ginormous Greek salad (the stuffed grape leaves were unbelievable), and we each ordered a gyro. Mine was chicken and so good! We also ordered the side of fries, and for $4 we received a large basket of fresh, hand cut, perfectly cooked fries. I don't live anywhere New Rochelle but I'm hoping to make it back there!“

“Dining at Lefteris Taverna felt like a little trip back to Greece. The food was truly authentic and brought back wonderful memories of being there — fresh flavors, comforting dishes, and that warm Mediterranean feeling you hope for in a great Greek restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxed yet trendy, making it perfect for a casual dinner or night out with friends.
The Mediterranean Sangria was absolutely delicious and refreshing, and the Gemista was cooked perfectly — flavorful, comforting, and authentic. While the food and ambiance were excellent, the service could definitely use some improvement. Overall though, the quality of the cuisine and beautiful vibe made it a place I’d still happily return to for a taste of Greece close to home.“

“I ordered through Uber eats. It was absolutely discusting. I ended up throwing everything out. I spoke to the woman who took my order and she said she would refund my money. Never did. I will NEVER EVER eat here ever again.“

“I ordered 3 smoothie 4 pieces Empanada. Super Large Size Drink, I have to share with another person. Love thin and crispy skin Empanada, full of Stuffing. and it don’t have too much seasoning. Foods are good & Healthy. I am going to try the rest of the menu next time visiting my clients in the Bronx. ?????“

“I hosted a baby shower here and everything was amazing. The space was beautiful. Service was great. All of our guests loved the food. Granit was especially helpful in planning everything & was super accommodating. Would definitely recommend throwing a private party or even just coming in to dine here!“
